Very old renovated apartment ideal location for the Leaning Tower. Good Location for the Leaning Tower. The lady who owned the apartment was waiting for us when we arrived. She was extremely helpful when we had difficulty booking a taxi for our return journey to airport. The apartment was next to a church and at 7pm each evening the church bells played Ave Ave Ave Maria (The Lourdes Hymn) Beautiful.

Great location - 7-10 minutes walk (with two small kids) to piazza Miracoli and the leaning Tower, 5-10 minutes walk to the main shopping street, 20 eur taxi from the airport. Very nice host - welcomed us warmly, showed us around the apartment, had a convenient city map put together and gave us tips for places to visit and places to dine. The apartment is beautifully arranged - you can feel the old Italian atmosphere in every little detail. It's comfortable for a family of 4 - there is a parents bedroom with one large bed and a kids bedroom with two separate beds. The kitchen is fully equipped: we cooked one night and had coffee and tea every morning - very nice touch and very convenient. The bathroom is a bit small - toilet and bathroom in one, but we managed quite well for 4 nights. The apartment is on the first floor and can sometimes be noisy there were lots of mosquitoes when we visited, despite the mosquito nets on all windows, so come prepared. All in all, we - a family of 4 - two kids 5 and 7, had a great stay at apartment Le Volte and we definitely recommend it and would chose to stay there again.

The apartment was wonderful and probably our favorite of the apartments we stayed in during our two week Italian vacation. The unit is very charming with the curved ceilings, rustic beams, and beautiful kitchen fixtures. The apartment's location is perfect, very close to the Leaning Tower, and close enough to the train station to walk (if carrying luggage, it might be better to take a taxi). It's best to close the windows in the living room and kitchen at night since they open onto a small street. There is some noise from people walking by or an occasional scooter. The windows and shutters block any noise when they are closed. We left the window in the back bedroom, that faces the courtyard open all night, and didn't hear any noise. The apartment is very peaceful, the washing machine is easy to use an the providing drying rack is large, which was very nice. The owner provided an internet hot- spot, which was great. However, connectivity worked best if you were near the unit. The walls are very thick, so reception wasn't great if you were too far away. The unit is portable and is about the size of credit card (but thicker) so it was easy to keep nearby. We would definately stay in this apartment again, on our next visit.

Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen und der schiefe Turm in fünf Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Sie ist rustikal aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet und auch in der Küche ist das Meiste vorhanden. Wir haben das Apartment nur als "gut" bewertet, weil es an Sauberkeit mangelt, sowohl im Bad ( u.a. auch Schimmel in der Dusche) als auch am Boden der übrigen Räume. Das ließe sich eigentlich leicht beheben. Ansonsten würden wir die Wohnung weiterempfehlen.

Just as described: old, cool, dark. It's like stepping into a different world. Insect nets and security bars on the windows mean you can leave the window open even when the light is on (though there did not seem to be many problem insects when we were there). There are creeping flowering plants at the windows which add to the green shade and sense of privacy. The location is very handy for the Scuola Normale and other university buildings.

Great value for money. Fabulous central location. Off the main roads so very quiet and peaceful. Just a 5 minute walk from the tower and other attractions - very convenient! The apartment is as described on the website and the courtyard is lovely. We ate out so didn't use the facilities but everything we would need was provided if we did chose to eat in. Both bedrooms large and airy. Bathroom on the small side but perfect for our needs. We met the owners on arrival- very friendly and helpful. They even left us two bottles of home made wine which tasted great! The open top bus is a must to get your bearings.
