This place was perfect for our group - three mature adult couples. The proximity to Yosemite Valley can’t be beat! The kitchen is by far the most well-equipped of any short term rental I’ve ever seen, and we’ve stayed at plenty all over the world. The property was otherwise very well-supplied and just a lovely location, albeit a rustic cabin you’d expect in Yosemite! One couple unfortunately had crumbs in their bed (!) and some debris on the bathroom floor, which explains the four instead of five stars on cleanliness. Otherwise the place was quite clean. We had a fabulous time and would stay again!

Location of cabin was quiet and easy access inside the park. Hot tub was greatly appreciated after long hiking days. Not plush or luxurious but more than comfortable.

We would definitely stay here again. One helpful note for those considering staying here: There is ZERO cell coverage in this area, at least with AT&T. You will need the WiFi in the house to do anything. Printing a paper map or downloading maps to your phone will greatly help you find your rental. Also, pay close attention to the FAQs on The Redwoods' homepage for what is provided in this rental home. You will need to ask the Redwoods office for additional toilet paper, detergent, etc. when you run out. The office staff is very friendly, and it's no problem, but it's just a different way of doing things.

Plenty of space to be comfortable. Deck was a lovely place to enjoy a meal or just drink a cup of coffee. Jacuzzi was a definite benefit after a day of hiking.

Perfect place to stay

We had a fantastic stay in cabin 41a. It had everything we needed, it was cosy, spacious, conveniently located. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend for families or groups.

Great Family Vacation

The house was better than advertised, especially for multiple families. The kitchen is large and the beds were comfortable. Communication was great with the property management company and we loved that we were already in the park the whole trip and could decide where to go each day without a long wait!

Winter Wonderland

We have rented at Wawona many times and this was one of the best. Cedar Chalet was very well equipped. It was warm and comfortable and everything worked. We definitely would stay here again. BTW early December is a great time to visit Yosemite if you like to see the park without the hordes of visitors.

Just like home.

We were a group of 8. We all had a wonderful time in this great home with plenty of space for all. Very comfortable and everything works. Redwood property management even checks the hot tub every other day. Also very friendly office staff with easy checking in and checkout. We would definitely stay here again.

Well stocked kitchen and friendly check in service. My experience was very good overall considering a three-day weekend. The rental met my expectations for a large family - 10 members. We had no time for TV or VCR - Too busy with outdoor activities.

Victory

Cedar Chalet was very well-appointed and comfortable. The house was roomy and perfect for a national park getaway. We were 7 adults, and everyone felt the same as I did - that we would absolutely recommend the house and location to others visiting the park. The office staff were very kind and accommodating as well! We're from Georgia, and booking a house so far from home, based only from information provided on the internet, it is very stressful, so I am very thankful that everything worked out as we expected, and that it was a great vacation all around. Thanks so much.

We absolutely loved the Cedar Chalet. It’s a lovely, well-maintained home that was just perfect for our family visit to Yosemite. The place never felt crowded, despite our large group of four adult siblings and their spouses. The beds were comfy, and the large kitchen made it possible for several of us to pitch in for meal prep. We loved having the cozy fireplace on chilly evenings and appreciated the plentiful seating in the living and dining rooms and on the outdoor deck. The hot tub was also a welcome feature after long days of hiking. We were grateful for the convenience of staying inside the park (avoiding long entrance lines!), and being within a short walking distance of the little neighborhood market was another BIG plus! Our only complaint was that the hot tub could have used some fresh chemicals/servicing, but other than that the home was in top shape for our arrival with LOTS of dishes, cookware and basic supplies (tp and other paper goods, dish detergent, hand soap, etc).. We had requested (and then unfortunately were unable to make!) an early check-in, so with four bedrooms to ready, the cleaning crew was likely a little rushed and still did a commendable job.

Perfect layout for groups and families

We really enjoyed our stay at the 41A cabin. We had 5 adults and 2 teens in our group and the layout worked really well for us. Plenty of space and bathrooms. Some how when we booked this cabin we didn’t notice that it does not have AC. So I wouldn’t recommend this cabin in the summer. The downstairs cooled down at night but the upstairs bedroom was pretty uncomfortable at night. Otherwise a great choice for your Yosemite vacation!

Great location for hiking Yosemite

This house was clean and cozy. Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and serving a crowd. Plenty of cups and utensils!! We had seven adults for a family reunion. Everyone loved getting in the hot tub after hiking. The porch was perfect for happy hour. Only negative was no air conditioning and upstairs bedroom got a little warm. Most of the time we were too pooped to notice! House situated inside Park, so no waiting in line at entrance! Very convenient.

Larger than what appears

Pictures don’t do the place justice. It is larger than we expected. The kitchen was large enough for 3/4 people doing different things. Kitchen table fit everyone comfortably. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could think of. We had someone in a wheelchair and there was ample space for him to get around. We did not notice there was a step to get into the living room before booking but worked out fine. The entryway, kitchen and bedroom with the bunk beds was all on the same level so he was able to stay in his chair the whole time except for the steps getting from driveway to front door (which we knew about before booking).

Perfect Yosemite Location

Just back from an amazing week in Yosemite. We loved the rental, as it was just inside the park, without being in the chaos of the actual valley. It was clean, airy, and roomy. Just what we needed. Thank you!

Great setup

This house is great for multiple families because there are two separated sleeping areas. We were disappointed that the hot tub did not work as that was one of the big reasons we chose this home.
