Thank you for a great home! Your house is very beautiful! We had an amazing Christmas vacation there. The house was clean, warm, and nicely decorated. My husband didn't find a TV remote in the basement, but that was no big deal.
This is a great place! Secluded but close enough to everything. The view is beautiful and easy to enjoy on the deck. Despite no A/C, our October stay was enjoyable with the windows open. Kitchen was will stocked with the things we needed and everything was neat and clean. Property owner is very responsive.
We enjoyed our stay at Roger's mountain home! The home was convenient to Asheville and the surrounding areas, comfortable and perfect for our family Thanksgiving vacation. Roger was a great host providing information about the home and answering any questions we had promptly. Would highly recommend this beautiful property in the mountains of North Carolina! Thank you again Roger for sharing it with us!
It was a very nice and well kept property. The location is convenient to Biltmore, Asheville and Lake Lure. My all adult family enjoyed the house. The internet speed/reliability wasnât great but we werenât there to surf the web and used our cellular connections to check email and Social media.
The Ridgeview Retreat is a beautiful property located SE of Asheville. I spent the week there with 3 of my closest HS friends (we graduated in 1979) creating a girls' getaway vacation. We did have a few difficulties when we arrived (AC not working and a blown fuse) but Roger was more than attentive and communicative with these issues. In short, the issues were resolved very quickly and Roger was available immediately for consultation. The location of the property is great for accessing hiking trails and also the downtown Asheville scene. The property has enough room for groups to have common space and also private space. There is a grill (which we didn't use), spices for cooking and plenty of table ware for those who prefer to cook in. The only thing I would say he may need to change is the location of the garbage cans. The cans are located in the bottom of the garage and need to be pulled up a pathway of stone steps. This was not a problem for us but if the people staying there were infirm, that would cause a problem. The beds were comfortable, the TV room was great but we did not use it b/c we spent time away from the residence and playing games when we were there. I think it's great the TV is on the lower level b/c it doesn't become a focus; it opens up more time for conversation and interacting. All in all, we enjoyed our time at Roger's house and would definitely return to it if we decide to vacation in Asheville again (and I think we will bc there is so much to do and we think we only touched the tip of tose things).
Roger has a lovely, secluded mountain home with so many indoor and outdoor comfortable areas. The great room is wonderful for gathering family and guests. The views from the great room and deck are serene.
I would like to make a recommendation about placing tempurpedic toppings on the beds for more comfort. The bedrooms are small, but we made it work. Wish there were at least one king bed. We had a lovely time. And my daughters loved the home and nearby hiking.
