Love was all around. Wedding at Castle Farms of niece, surrounded by family and friends, and the Apple Fest. It was made perfect by our lovely quaint VRBO. Within walking distance of downtown everything. Would definitely stay again.
We were in town for a family wedding at Castle Farms. This house couldn't have been any better. We walked to town, parks near the light house and ice-cream at night. Our host was extremely helpful in answering anything we had questions on. I highly recommend it and hope to return.
Place was great, clean and everything you need for your stay. The location is awesome and walkable to just about everything downtown. Long driveway to park 3 cars if needed. Nice deck out back with a grill and table and chairs. I would stay there again and would recommend it to others. Thanks Wendy and Laura.
Family vacation with adult children. Great location for staying in town or taking day trips. The house and host were comfortable and welcoming like visiting family. At one point we mentioned the broken coffee grinder for purpose of the next guests. A very minor thing and we had someone at the door with a brand new grinder.
Thank you for opening up your home for others and us to enjoy!
I would certainly recommend this property. The location was perfect - walking distance to many restaurants and shops as well as a beach. The kitchen has just about everything you would want, and the outdoor grill was a bonus. The rooms are adequate size and well appointed. There is also a generous supply of towels. We stayed with adult friends, but it would also be a great place for a family. A word of caution if you have small children - the deck, which is quite nice, does not have rails.
Our extended family of 10 really enjoyed our stay in the home. The house had everything we needed including plenty of extra linens, kitchen utensils, games and entertainment. We were able to walk downtown every day and enjoy the many shops and restaurants. The house is also walking distance to the beach in which we enjoyed the nightly beautiful sunsets. The only negative we found in the home is that the air conditioning vents did not work in the bedroom with the twin beds, so this room stayed very warm. Luckily we had packed a box fan which really helpful to cool the room down for sleep. Overall, we had a great week in the home and would rent again for its perfect location!
Our family, including kids and grandchildren, rented this vintage home for a week's vacation. The home had plenty of room for all of us; the media room upstairs was a great place for the kids to play games in their own space. Our goal was to find a home that was within walking distance for all to the downtown area and to the beach. This home was in the perfect location to accomplish that requirement. We greatly appreciated the home having air conditioning also! The owner was very kind and accommodating, and the caretaker was available to answer our questions. It was an enjoyable vacation, and we would recommend this home to those who are looking for a downtown Charlevoix rental.
This VRBO was clean and well-stocked. As someone who has rented numerous properties in Charlevoix, I would consider this an excellent four-bedroom option. If you need or want central AC, this property is a rare find. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean, and there is plenty of drawer space to unpack. Although there isnât a large backyard for play, the Michigan Beach playground and fabulous Charlevoix library are an easy walk for little legs. The kitchen has nice, clean, modern appliances (stove, fridge, coffee pot, microwave, no dishwasher), and the back deck has a nice gas grill and comfortable table for relaxing. I would gladly rent in the future!
This was our second time staying at this house, and we overall love it.
It was updated and improved and much cleaner than the previous stay, though all of the dishes were still filthy. The upstairs shower needs a new shower head, but overall itâs a great house for a family! They donât allow dogs, but the living room does smell of dog or cat pee.
They have everything you need during your stay, a great space, and you canât beat the location!! Walking distance to everything. Overall, we like this rental and Weâd stay here again for a third time.
This was our second stay at this property. The location is excellent...easy walking to Bridge St. and Lake Michigan Beach. A new gas grill was added since our first stay. We had a couple of rainy days, so the kids enjoyed some VCR classics! Thanks for a great vaca! We will be back!
We recently had a 10 stay at 208 Mason. WE had some friends with us the first few days and then our daughter, husband and 2 grandsons. The house was great and had everything we needed. The back deck was very nice and relaxing. We loved the close proximity to Bridge St., Lake Michigan and the library. We will definitely keep 208 Mason in mind on our next visit.
Charming home, perfect location and a great price!
My husband and I just returned from a two-week vacation in Charlevoix and were lucky enough to find this home. The home has been updated to include air conditioning, Internet, cable TV and more. The property was clean and well maintained and talk about a great location!! A two-block walk one way and you're on Bridge Street in Downtown Charlevoix with all the shops, restaurants and Marina. A two-block walk the other way and you're at Lake Michigan with a beach and a wonderful walkway along the water with a lighthouse at the entrance to Lake Michigan. I love to walk in the mornings and I was up bright and early and walked every day (sometimes even twice a day) because it was such a nice area in which to walk. The house is also located across from the Charlevoix Library. You may not think about that being any big deal, but the Charlevoix Library is so awesome! They had several events at the library which we attended (inside and outside). I encourage guests to try and catch one of their lectures on the history of the museum - fascinating. If you're a golfer (which we both are) you are close to many of Michigan's fantastic courses. You're also a close drive to Harbor Springs and Petosky but you'll be delighted to return "home" to Charlevoix where I find it to be much more relaxing and the hustle and bustle of traffic is much less. I could go on and on about all the close destinations for fun and activities within a short drive from Charlevoix but you should try them for yourself. The owner, Laura, could not have been more helpful with providing information that we needed to know whether by providing a basket of informational brochures kept at the house or by being able to call or text. I would highly recommend this property to our family and friends. We definitely will be back and this property is at the top of our list when we visit Charlevoix.
We found the house well equipped, comfortable and relaxing with a homey atmosphere. Fine dining is within easy walking distance along with downtown shopping in one direction and Lake Michigan and a park in the other.

Great Rental Home in Downtown Charlevoix
My husband and I rented this home recently because our daughter was getting married in Charlevoix. It was a great location and had everything we needed. It also had ample space for our children and grandchildren when they arrived for the wedding. The grandchildren enjoyed the great selection of movies and games and the dedicated upstairs room so they didn't disturb anyone else. We had friends and relatives from all over the United States in town and the location allowed them to see a little bit of down town and then stop by to visit. The home was very clean, lots of lawn type chairs to sit outside. We definitely were pleased with the house, the communication by the owners and the caretaker of the home. We will be back to stay in this house again!

A wonderful place to stay in Charlevoix, best we've stayed in yet. A short walk to the shoppes, and the best ice cream in the world at Kilwin's! Cutting throught the library (that has a wonderful outdoor music garden for the kids to explore) makes it only 2 blocks to the beach. The house was clean and stocked full of movies, everything you'd need in a kitchen, and wireless internet. It was a great stay for my family girls get away , 10 of us! We will be back to this house every year.
This property was key to our family having one of our best vacations ever. To us a vacation means less stress and complication, and the house on Mason delivered with its ideal location. Our little ones (ages four and six) could easily make the short 2-3 block walk to the beach or town. There were a couple days where we didn't touch the car keys.
This house has vintage charm combined with updates in the places important to us (bedrooms and bathrooms). It was clean and well kept. We had enough space to spread out and make ourselves at home.
We certainly would recommend this house and will look no further next time we head to Charlevoix.

I went to high school in Charlevoix and miss the beautiful summers. The residents are all very friendly and the town is a nice break from big city life. While staying at the house, we enjoy walking downtown and seeing the drawbridge. There are many shops and restaurants to enjoy.
This property is just a few blocks from everything in Charlevoix. You do not have to drive at all to go to grocery stores, restaurants, movie theatre, Downtown Charlevoix, Michigan Beach, or East Park.
