Big house on a quiet dirt road less than a 5 minute drive to downtown Edgartown. Easy access to bike/walking trails and 5 minutes to the beach. Large bedrooms, good living area and nice screened porch. Two of the bedrooms have twin beds, one of them has a tiny little kidâs bed good for a toddler, and then thereâs a large master.House is older but very well kept and had everything we needed. Owner was easy to get in touch with and check in/out was simple.one note - the house does not come with linens/towels, so we rented those. Not too expensive but be sure to do that or youâll be without sheets!

Escape to this exquisite home on Martha's Vineyardâsecluded, yet just a short walk to Edgartown's center. The house is well-equipped with essentials, ensuring a comfortable stay (linens and towels are not provided). The charming ambiance and rich history of The Vineyard make it the perfect destination for a memorable birthday celebration with friends. For the best experience, I highly recommend visiting in September when the weather is still warm, and the island is less crowded.
The location was perfect as was the house to spend Thanksgiving. Big open kitchen with wonderful fireplace. Great island location. Very responsive and pleasant hosts. Thanks ever so much!
Really great location. While Edgartown can have the heaviest traffic on the island, you can easily walk there or ride bikes to South beach or State beach in only minutes.
We have stayed all over the island in the last 15 years. This place is definitely the best.
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at this home. The location has an up island feel as it is private, yet it is walking distance to Edgartown village. The home itself was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed eating meals on the screen in porch!
Lovely, comfortable, convenient, quiet and spacious
This was the perfect home for Us during Edgartown race week. The house is actually roomier than the photos indicate. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend to others without reservation!
This is a fantastic vacation rental and we had a wonderful week. The house was perfect for our family and has plenty of beds and bathrooms. Itâs comfortable, well stocked and we loved eating meals in the screened porch. It has a private setting but is conveniently located close to town and south beach. Easy access to the bike path allowed us to safely ride bikes and run each day.
Went here for 4th of July vacation with my girlfriend (now fiance after proposing on the island) and her family. House had everything one would need and was well within walking distance of downtown Edgartown. Rooms were more than adequate for the family. Nothing but praise for this residence.
we spent a week in late may in alex' house in edgartown.
the house is set back far from the road from edgartown to katama beach in secluded wooded area. inside, it is spacious, bright and well furnished. the kitchen is large and equipped with everything we needed for cooking meals at home. all the bedrooms are inviting, the beds comfortable.
we enjoyed our stay thoroughly, and hope to come back again.
This house was located 200 feet from Katama General Store perfect for morning coffee and delicious scones, croissants, and other goodies, barely a half-mile walk into Edgartown, and just a 3-4 mile bike ride to South Beach. House was wonderfully appointed in the kitchen and throughout the house. Alex is a terrific host. We were quite happy with this perfect headquarters for exploring the Vineyard.
We have an excellent vacation in this home! Perfect for our family, with young kids, and enough room for two small families! We were pleasantly surprised with some house upgrades that were not listed online and the home is in the ideal location. Close enough to town and Norton Point Beach with a very short walk to Katama General for a quick meal. Alex was also very quick to respond and a big help. Hope to return next year!
This is a great house, but could use a few updates. We had 7 adults and one one toddler and there was plenty of room for us all. The kitchen was big enough for us, but not very well equipped. Not enough coffee mugs for all of us, and most had chips around the rim. We cooked a lot of meals, great skillets, but not enough utensils or serving bowls & platters. The sofas desperately need to be replaced in the living room, and more seating so everyone can be in there at once. Overall, I would rent this house again because it is a great layout and great location, but I would hope that a few simple updates could be made.
We very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortable home hidden down a lane near the Katama General Store. It is in a great location - private, yet walkable to the Edgartown shops and bikable to South Beach and Katama Beach. There was plenty of room for our group of seven adults. The house was well-equipped with essentials and even bikes and kayaks (note the listing requires you to provide your own sheets and towels). The owner was very responsive to all queries. We hope to return - Recommended!
