Domus Torrenova is a spacious and functional flat located in Tor Vergata, a suburb of Rome. It is located on the ground floor with an independent entrance. In the living area there is an equipped kitchenette and a comfortable living room with dining table. The sleeping area includes a double bedroom and a second bedroom-study with a single bed and access to one of the two bathrooms. Completing the house is the large main bathroom; windowed with shower and bidet. Also available to guests is a lovely terrace where they can enjoy lunch or dinner in the open air.
The accommodation is also equipped with every comfort; air conditioning, free wi-fi and a convenient private parking space.
The Tor Vergata district is a quiet, green and predominantly residential area located in the south-east quadrant of Rome. The area is best known and appreciated for the presence of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, one of the most important Italian universities, and for the nearby Policlinico Universitario Tor Vergata (PTV), a modern hospital and medical research centre of reference at regional level. Both can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes. The neighbourhood offers a good balance between urban comfort and open spaces: there are green areas, cycle paths, parks and wide tree-lined avenues, making it suitable for those seeking a more relaxed accommodation compared to the chaos of the centre. The presence of students, university staff and families contributes to a dynamic and multicultural environment. All the main services and bus and metro stops for reaching the city centre are just a few metres away.
Rome is a city that enchants anyone who visits it, a place where every stone tells a story and every corner hides a secret. Walking through its narrow and crowded streets, one comes across iconic monuments such as the Colosseum, one of the largest amphitheatres ever built, a symbol of the power and grandeur of ancient Rome. A few steps away, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill offer tangible evidence of public and private life during the imperial era. Not far from these wonders is the Pantheon, one of the best preserved ancient buildings in the city, with its majestic dome that has been a model for architecture all over the world. The Trevi Fountain, with its spectacular sculpture of Oceano, is one of Rome's most iconic sites, where thousands of visitors each year toss a coin to express their wish to return to the eternal city. Piazza Navona, with its Baroque fountains and the imposing church of Sant'Agnese in Agone, is a place where art and everyday life intertwine. Piazza di Spagna, with its famous Spanish Steps, is the beating heart of Roman luxury and shopping. Each square is an open-air work of art, with monuments dating back to different periods of the city's history. Rome's churches are equally spectacular. St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican is one of the most sacred and magnificent sites of Christianity, with works by Michelangelo, such as the Pieta, and a dome that dominates the entire city skyline. Every district of Rome has its own identity. Trastevere, with its cobbled alleys, lively piazzas and typical trattorias, is one of the most picturesque and popular districts, where Roman tradition is still very much alive. Monti, located near the Colosseum, is a bohemian district, full of independent shops, cafés and art galleries. Prati, elegant and refined, is home to the Vatican City and is distinguished by its wide streets and high-fashion boutiques. Villa Borghese, one of the city's largest parks, is an oasis of tranquillity where Romans and tourists alike take refuge to walk, play sports or visit the Borghese Gallery, which houses works by Caravaggio, Bernini and Raphael. Besides St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum houses one of the most important art collections in the world, with masterpieces such as Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, an icon of beauty and spirituality.
