Vous cherchez un chalet du lac Michigan avec une vue spectaculaire sur le lac et les couchers de soleil depuis votre terrasse? Pair-A-Dice est le chalet pittoresque à Grand Haven, Michigan sur la section sud calme et paisible de Highland Park, juste pour vous et votre famille et vos amis.

Votre chalet est à trois minutes en voiture du centre-ville de Grand Haven. Ou mieux encore, c'est une promenade relaxante de 15 minutes le long d'une promenade en toute sécurité jusqu'au front de mer de Grand Haven. Au cours de votre promenade, vous découvrirez les magnifiques vues du lac Michigan et de la rivière Grand le long de votre chemin.

Construit en 1906, le chalet est un point de repère historique à Highland Park. Pair-A-Dice conserve une grande partie de son charme d'origine, car de nombreux articles dans le chalet sont originaux. Plus de 100 chalets sont nichés dans les dunes de sable de cette région avec un système de promenades et de passerelles construites dans la réserve naturelle. Pair-A-Dice, l'un des rares chalets surplombant le lac Michigan et sa plage, offre à ses clients les magnifiques couchers de soleil sur votre grande terrasse privée pendant que vous buvez, dînez et criez pour la crème glacée. Pour un accès rapide, sûr et facile, descendez simplement la promenade du Highland Park pour arriver à votre plage.

Profitez de regarder la passerelle du Grand Haven Pier éclairée la nuit ressemblant à un collier de perles. Promenez-vous à minuit dans Highland Park ou plongez dans le lac ci-dessous. Endormez-vous au son des vagues et profitez de la brise fraîche et fraîche du lac. Réveillez-vous au son romantique de la corne de brume de la jetée le matin, les plaisanciers et les pêcheurs ont besoin d'une assistance visuelle.

Un porche grillagé, avec une terrasse attenante, est idéal pour lire, regarder le coucher du soleil et vivre les tempêtes d'automne alors qu'ils grondent au-dessus du lac Michigan. Veuillez fermer les fenêtres ou vous serez mouillé. Il y a un petit porche arrière pour le stockage, pour vos vélos, glacières, sacs de plage, cannes à pêche et cerfs-volants.

Profitez de cinq chambres, une salle de bain complète en bas et une salle de bain complète à l'étage. L'étage dispose d'une nouvelle salle de bains de luxe (2016) avec douche / baignoire et toilettes séparées avec vanité. De plus, cet ajout a ajouté une chambre dans le couloir de la salle de bain. Trois chambres ont des lits doubles, une chambre a un ensemble de lits jumeaux et une cinquième chambre a des lits superposés marins. Le chalet peut accueillir huit adultes et deux enfants confortablement. Deux chambres ont vue sur le lac pendant que vous vous reposez au lit. La nouvelle chambre supplémentaire donne sur la réserve naturelle protégée des dunes de sable.

Septembre est l’heure des habitants pour nager et pêcher le saumon dans le lac. Souvent, l'eau est plus chaude que l'air et les vagues sont parfaites pour le surf corporel ou pour regarder les surfeurs. La foule sur la plage a disparu, mais la ville est toujours ouverte avec des personnages principalement locaux.

Wonderful view

All aspects of this property met our expectations except for the bedroom situation. The property is listed as 5 bedrooms, but only one bedroom (new addition) has full walls. The other 4 bedrooms have open rafter ceiling which makes each room connected as far as noise is concerned. If you are traveling with other couples, this may not be advantageous. That being said, the location is great and the view from the deck is lovely. Jay is also a very gracious host.

Amazing Grand Haven Cottage

We had a great time at the cottage. The back porch is beautiful and looks out right over the lake and pier- perfect for family dinner and sunsets. Cottage is great walking/biking location from beach. The owner checked in regularly and was available throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Para dice!! Was paradise !!!!

We enjoyed an amazing stay at Pair of Dice.. the home. Is an older classic home with beautiful wood floors, tons of windows and tons of light! The back deck overlooked the Lake and we enjoyed many sunsets and relaxation there everyday. The location was close to everything in Grand Haven and the boardwalks allow you to walk all around the area- this is a great place for bikers and hikers..and Jay was an incredible host always checking to see if we needed anything and how our stay was going. There’s a grill and fully equipped kitchen and if you’re missing anything Jay will get it for you! I can’t say enough about the rental and the only thing it took getting used to was no air conditioning. It wasn’t a big deal because the air off the lake cools the house down pretty quick, and we weren’t there most of the day time anyways . This is also a quick drive to Saugatuck, South Haven is 40-45 mins and Holland has many restaurants and entertainment too. Thanks for a wonderful vacation Jay!

Cozy historical home with incredible views!

I took my nieces and nephews for a weekend getaway at the Lake. The house was absolutely perfect: cozy, clean, a great history, spectacular views and quick walk to the beach. Jay was super helpful and communicative throughout our stay! I would highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

Vintage charm in an amazing location!

This place is a quintessential beach house, filled with historic character. The location is perfect with a boardwalk that ends right on the beach. The house is located on the bluff directly above the beach with incredible views. It is also a quick drive to downtown Grand Haven. A few things to consider: * Four bedrooms have partial height walls, sharing a common ceiling and common overhead light - bring sound machines to help with the noise transfer between rooms! * While the listing accommodates a fair number of people, each room is very tiny. Dining table and living room each accommodate only 6 at a time. Deck is slightly larger but still a bit tight. * Kitchen is very small with limited counter space. Oven temp was inconsistent which made cooking a bit challenging. * The grill on the deck was not working. Jay made an attempt to fix it during our stay but unfortunately it still didn’t work. Overall, Jay was a very attentive host and we loved our stay!

Quaint Sunset

We only stayed two nights but left wishing for more. An older cottage with history and nostalgic of the Grand Haven area. Took me back to my childhood years of summers at Grand Haven beach! Our grand children loved swimming in Lake Michigan which was just down the stairs and across the street. Best views of the Lake and sunsets. Everyone we met was super friendly!

Treehouse cabin

This location makes you feel like you’re in a rustic treehouse overlooking the lake. The location is great, and the cross breezes keep you cool despite no air conditioning. The house has an interesting history and the Owner was great.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time at Pair-a-dice. We came form 5 states to enjoy quality family time at this sweet cottage. We ate almost every meal out on the porch enjoying the fantastic view of Lake Michigan (and the beautiful sunsets.) The steps were a little daunting at first but each day they were easier to climb. The view is well worth any stairs. We also enjoyed the each private beach access as well the short drive to restaurants and shopping. Jay was a wonderful host - answering all of our questions and ensuring we have a fantastic visit. He recommended the farmer's market - we bought fresh fruit and vegetables for our stay. And, were fortunate enough to be in town during strawberry season. They were the best strawberries we have ever had.

Girls Getaway for a Fabulous 40th

Charming historic lake home with water views. Easy walk to beach, restaurant, and light house. Jay went out of his way to book a last minute dinner reservation for our group of 9. It was a wonderful time with beach walking, cycle boating, shopping, and eating and drinking. It was the first time for all of us in Grand Haven, and we really enjoyed it! Heads up: If there are mobility issues, this would not be a place for you due to the many stairs to climb to get to the house, beach, etc. Another consideration is the parking. The 2 parking spots were great but our group came from several locations, so we had 5 vehicles requiring a lot of shuffling when we wanted to get out and explore. All in all, it was a great stay and accommodated our group of 10 very well.

Beautiful view, excellent host

We had 2 families (10 people) stay at this home. It was perfect. The view was great, the location was in walking distance from town and Jay was an excellent host. He greeted us when we arrived, stopped by the next day to warn us about the potential storm and brought us supplies when we ran out. The beds are fulls and there is an open ceiling where the bedrooms are, so you hear everyone, but that actually added to the fun. Thanks for the great vacation Jay!

High School reunion getaway

Pair-a-dice was exactly what we needed! It had a fantastic cottage feel with all of the comforts of home. We traveled 4,190 miles to be together from San Jose, CA to Fairfax, VA and in between. Jay was great to work with and was very accommodating to our needs! Until next time....

Great location near beach

This was a great place for 2 families of 4 for a long Labor Day weekend. Steps (a lot of them) down to a beach that we practically had all to ourselves. Also close to downtown which was nice.

Grand Haven Beach Getaway

Property was very adequate for our purposes. Family get together near the beach. View was awesome and enough amenities for cooking and grilling and plenty of beds. Great views requires some steps to the top of dune where cottage is located. Short walk to the beach down to the beach requires more steps. The City Park Beach however has free parking if you need to haul stuff. Just get there early.. especially on weekends. All the beds were extremely comfortable and despite having no AC, the temperature at night during our stay in late June was extremely comfortable and there were plenty of fans available. Jay was a great host and made a personal visit to make sure everything was okay. I would have no problem visiting this town or property again.

Beautiful surroundings and view! Owner very helpful! Will go back for a longer stay next time. There are just two bathrooms, one is upstairs with all the bedrooms. One bath downstairs.

Family traditions are strong here as the cottages are passed down to future generations, with little turnover to new owners. My dream came true when I had the opportunity to buy Pairadice on the ridge overlooking Lake Michigan and the beach, in 2013. I love sharing Grand Haven with friends and now with your family. This is truly the most beautiful place in the world, (in the summer and fall). Come make your own family traditions and memories here.

Please do not rent a Cottage in Grand Haven that does not include a front row seat to the most beautiful late afternoon sunsets. Did you know in the Summer the sunset can last for over an hour starting at 9:30 at night? Every sunset is different and you will say each night, "That was the best sunset that I ever saw!"
Most of the rental cottages require a short walk to the beach or gathering point to see a sunset. You have the option to view from your Pairadice deck or inside glass porch. Priceless!!

If you seek to experience a peaceful, relaxing, mother nature vacation, this is your spot. Overlooking the beach during the day and watching sunsets that rivals the sunsets of the Pacific Islands. Your choice to walk, saunter, bike, roller blade, skate board, run with little need or desire to drive your car. If your too tired or sunburned to walk into town, walk down the steps, cross the street and there you will find a beach restaurant and bar, Notos.

Enjoy the miles of board walks that traverse highland park 110 cottages. Find the owls nesting at night the baby dears playing in the woods and the song of the tap tap tap from the red headed wood peckers. Your children have their own private park to plany hide and seek, capture the flag and geo scavenger hunts.

This is a vacation for living in the now, a time to be visiting life as it should be lived.

Experience what it is like to live like a local in this exciting friendly, safe summer tourist town without being in town. You will quickly feel at home here at Highland Park overlooking Lake Michigan Water. One of the few highland park cottages on the bluff with a view of the lake and a deck to watch nightly sunsets. Their are boardwalks and stairs leading down to the private secluded sandy beach, fresh lake, no salt or sharks here, however there are waves for body surfing and paddle boarding.
Pairadice was built in 1904 and continues to have the cottage feel with modern updates. On demand water heater, washer and dryer, and new bedroom and bathroom with separate vanity addition. My focus is to keep the cottage charm and simple slow pace life style to ensure your family will want to come back every summer to Grand Heaven.
