Welcome Aboard! “The Boathouse” is a beautiful, waterfront cottage on Mona Lake. The 4 bedroom, 2 full bathroom cottage is updated and modern, with the feeling of being on a large yacht. Nautically inspired design, and yachtsman like touches, will inspire you to take the helm, drop anchor and enjoy a vacation like no other. On the shores edge there is a deck so close to the water you will swear you are riding on the aft of your personal yacht. The hot tub is available year round, relax in the warm water and enjoy the beautiful view. Winter is a great time to visit, Muskegon’s winter sports complex is a short drive. Enjoy X-Country skiing, or try your skills on the luge, then come back, jump in the spa and relax. Celebrate the sunrise and the sunset on our 2021 Bennington pontoon, included in your stay, (pontoon is only available June 1st through October 25th) the perfect way to let all the landlubber worries fade away. The “Boathouse” has 4 bedrooms, 1 on the main level and 3 upstairs. Two of the upstairs quarters have balconies to relax and take in the lake breezes. There’s also a “head” on each floor with stand up showers, bath and hand towels are provided. The galley has all of your cooking and dining essentials to make delicious meals for your crew. Gather around the butcher block island to share fish stories or sit around our lakeside fire pit and reminisce about your memories of the past. We invite you to “set sail” on a vacation destination like no other, area attractions include Michigan’s Adventure theme park, world class beaches, beautiful Lake Michigan, gourmet restaurants, historic submarine, light houses, musical fountains, zip lines, and ice luges all await. Lovely last minute getaway

We came up for a long weekend getaway during the Fall and it was simply perfect. From extremely prompt and helpful responses throughout the process by property manager Kim as we planned a last minute getaway to the home having all the small details that make your stay more enjoyable to the extra bonus of having a pontoon boat on a gorgeous lake. Definitely be back!

Will do it every year!

Everything about the house was perfect and just as described. Property manager Kim was super quick in responding. Pontoon and hot tub were best perks. Thank you so much for sharing the house. Also the proximity of the house from Lake Michigan & restaurants and breakfast was cherry on top.

Fabulous girls weekend!!!!

This property is amazing! The house was extremely clean, and the pontoon boat was wonderful! We loved the fans in all of the bedrooms, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The layout of the house is PERFECT for hanging out and having fun. The kitchen had everything we could ask for and the outdoor living space is lovely! The neighbors were friendly, and we felt VERY safe. We had the PERFECT weekend!!!

Great experience with nightmare weather

We got checked in fine, and the hosts were great with the pre check in process. Stayed one night and had a hellacious storm roll through early our first morning. Lost power, most of the town lost power. The pontoon saved the trip for us. We went out on the boat and spent the day on the water, the hosts were gracious enough to be in communication with us for throughout the outage, they brought battery powered lights, games, for the kids and after the 2nd day with no power we had mentioned a generator for the fridge because of the meat we had brought from home and all the sudden they showed up with a generator. Anything we asked for they were able to provide, we did miss out on the hot tub for a few days but given the heat the day was providing it was just fine. Our two kids had a great time fishing and swimming and just boating and reading. All in all the owners did as much as they possibly good and we thanked them repeatedly for their efforts. Anything they could do, they took time out of their day and did. We had a great trip even considering the poor situation we were all dealt.

Relaxing Getaway

We had such an amazing stay! The house was very clean, views were beautiful, and the hot tub and boat were great for our family. Having the boat on the property really made our trip. The hot tub is drained and refilled up before each guest arrives which is extremely nice. This was easily my family’s favorite vacation home we have booked. The hosts were also very responsive!

Really enjoyed our 2 week stay in Pure Michigan. The cottage was just as described and fit our family perfectly. I must say having access to a pontoon sealed the deal on this VRBO. Thank you and hope to see you next year.

Great place for family trip!

Property was exactly as pictured. Perfect spot for a family getaway woth our friends and family from Cjicago. Two families with 4 kids and the place was perfect. Good location on the lake and close to any stores (Meijer, sbux, etc). Very nice boat was a nice benefit also!

Perfect family get-away

Loved our stay. Owners were very accommodating, house was perfect for teenagers and older family members who needed a main floor bedroom. House had all we needed to cook in, and location is great for going out. Pontoon was perfect for fun and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Mona Lake House

This was our second stay at this property. The location can’t be beat. The house is cozy, clean, well maintained and has anything you will need. The hosts are so friendly and helpful if any problem arises, however we had a perfect stay. The lake and pontoon are worth staying here alone, but you’ll love the house as well. We are already looking forward to our next stay here!

Lovely fall getaway!

Everything was beautiful! The house, decor, layout, it all made for a wonderful weekend getaway with the family. We all enjoyed ourselves. The view of the lake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Communication was amazing! We will definitely be back!

Sibling get-away

This was the perfect place for 4 senior siblings to get together for a fairly quiet 4 day reunion, enjoy a peaceful setting on the lake and have recreational amenities close to the city. We would have enjoyed the lake, fire pit, boat, and hot tub if the weather had not turned very cold and rainy.

September getaway and family time

It was a very nice getaway for our family. Comfortable beds, kitchen that had everything we needed, gas grill, hot tub, fire pit and of course enjoyed the pontoon boat. Weather was wonderful - only thing missing was catching some big fish!😀

Nice house right on the lake

Had a great vacation with a house right on Mona Lake. Loved having access to the pontoon anytime we wanted. Short drive to get groceries or go out to eat.

Pleasant Norton Shores Home

A nice little cottage on Lake Mona. It has everything you might need for a home a away from home. The hosts graciously supplied all sundries that you may need for a week long stay (cleaners, laundry detergent, paper products). The house was tastefully decorated and the beds are comfortable. The best part of this rental is by far the lakefront access and the pontoon boat. Our family loves to fish so this was a perfect bonus. The rental is within 15 minutes of Pere Marquette beach which we loved. A must see is "The Deck" restaurant that features a new band each night at the beach. Overall a great place to stay.

Long weekend in Muskegon

What a great house and property. We enjoyed the boat and hot tub. The property was close to the beach and we enjoyed hanging outside as well. Would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a place in and around Muskegon

Nice stay over July 4

House was very clean. The outside patio was indispensable for family meals for 5. The pontoon boat was in great shape and served us well for exploring the lake and finding swim spots. Lakeside location was terrific, although the neighborhood was a bit close together. We had terrific weather and the air conditioning helped during the heat of the day. Fire pit and hot tub are provided evening activities. Fun week!

Great find on the lake with a beautiful boat!

Don't look any where else in the Muskegon, Norton Shores area! This was a beautiful home, easy to communicate with the host, (so thoughtful), very clean home, has all utensils, cleaning products and even spices for your use. They even had a high chair and pack n play for the baby. It's a beautiful home, no brainer when looking for a peaceful place on a lake!!

Great weekend getaway

Perfect place for a family weekend. Home is extremely clean, kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook. The view is great and being able to enjoy cruising on the pontoon was terrific.
