Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin! It is a special place forsure! We lived how close the water access was to the cabin! Just a short walk across the street:) the cabin had all amenities needed for a great time!
So grateful we got to stay at this super cute and comfy cabin. Great location, nice bedding, and wonderful host who is communicative, helpful, and responsive. Iâd love to come back to this cabin!
Nice clean and fully stocked house. Close to the lake, about 7 minute drive from the house thereâs a beautiful beach with picnic tables but youâll need to bring your own beach towels. Gary was available and helpful when we had questions.
Our family had an amazing time staying here. Itâs located in a great area in Tahoma within walking distance of the lake. The cabin is well stocked and has everything you would need for a weekend getaway.
It was great! Close enough by to walk to lake. Quick stroll to neighborhood coffeehouse. Great cabin! It was warm so kept windows open when we were there. Found fan in back closet to help.
The property was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for the stay. The location is perfect - walking distance to the lake, a short drive to Tahoe City, and Sugar Pine Point State Park.
Convenient location walking distance to the lake. Facility is clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is quiet. We are a family of 7 that had plenty of space for all. Love the outdoor seating for meals and morning coffee. We loved it and hope to come again next year.
We loved the house and the neighborhood. Short walk across the street to a beautiful beach and lake view. Kitchen was well equipped for family dinners. We had everything we needed. Great coffee shop and tavern about a five minute walk as well as a small market for groceries. Would highly recommend.
Garyâs property was perfect for our family of 3 humans and 2 little dogs. Seemed very safe around, just be on the lookout for bears (like anywhere in Lake Tahoe) though we didnât encounter any!
The chalet itself was super cozy, comfortable and Gary was very communicative if we needed anything. Definitely recommend for a nice, cozy, clean, comfortable stay. My 6 year old daughter especially loved it!
I was very excited to find this space with 4 queen beds! It was very well stocked with all the cooking essentials. Great location. We really enjoyed our stay with our friends and 2 9.5 month daughters!
We had a great stay here! Close to trails, room to grill and hangout outside, and play boardgames inside. Plenty of space for our group to have big dinners and then cuddle on the couch next to the fire. I would definitely recommend this place!!!
Holds all our 5 or 6 people easily. and can handle dogs. plenty of room. has the basic necessities. Good location for multiple ski resorts. Very budget friendly.
My family and I had a great time during our winter vacation. The cabin offered everything we needed. Communication with property manager was great. The wi-if worked very well which allowed me to do some work. We were very content with the space and overall area.
Amazing property. Very impressed with the hospitality I received at this beautiful property. I definitely plan to visit again sometime soon! Thanks Gary!
Great home and great experience! Only negative was no soap or body wash in the showers. Loved the location and the beach access. We will definitely stay again!
I grew up in the Bay Area and my parents, my brother, and I have enjoyed vacationing in Lake Tahoe since the mid-60s. We bought the lot in 1972 and built the cabin ourselves in 1976. After retiring from the Air Force in 2011, my wife and I settled in the Sacramento area to be close to our kids and so we could spend more time at the Lake. Since then we have spent a considerable about of time at the cabin and love being there. When we're not there, I spend my free time teaching part-time at Sierra College and volunteering with Junior Achievement of Sacramento.
We love the West Shore of Lake Tahoe! That's why we've been coming up here as long as I can remember. There is so much to do here, or not...it's up to you. One of my favorite activities is to walk down to the pier at Water's Edge in the evening and check out all the stars. It's amazing and so relaxing. Another fun activity is a bike ride around the neighborhood or through Sugar Pine Point State Park. As a very recreational skier, I love skiing at Homewood. It's only a few minutes away and it's a great family ski area with some of the best views of the lake. I think my favorite time of year there is the Fall. The days are still warm but the nights cool down so it's a perfect time to sit outside during the day and cozy up to the fire at night. And since the kids are back in school, it's not crowded there at all. Lake Tahoe is my favorite place in the world...any time of year!
Our cabin is a labor of love. We built it in 1976 as a family project with the help of a few friends. Although it was built with many hand-me-downs, it has always been cozy and comfortable. We updated the kitchen in 2006 and the bathrooms in 2013. Also in 2013 we replaced most of the furnishings. We're very happy with the way it turned out--maintaining that rustic charm while providing all the modern conveniences. Come check it out!
