Nestled in the comfort of a sparse urban community with easy access to Austin, San Antonio, Marble Falls, and Fredericksburg, this charming, 1950s house is the perfect home base for your next adventure! Enjoy being located right off the main street and within walking distance of Farmhouse Vineyards tasting room, shops on the town square, fine dining at Bryans on 290, and the Lyndon B Johnson National Historic Park. You will also be just a few blocks from downtown Johnson City, Texas Wine Trail, and Hill Country music venues.

This beautiful rock home, with its German architectural influences, has been completely renovated and boasts refinished original flooring and a fun Western theme throughout that pays homage to the new and the old. The front yard is a great place to perch with your morning coffee, complete with a table and chairs, while the back deck features outdoor furniture and attractive lighting.

When it comes to indoor entertainment, relax and play in the sunroom, listen to some tunes on the record player, challenge your friends to a game on the full-size shuffleboard table, and warm up by the electric fireplace. The living area enjoys a smart TV that is perfect for catching up on your favorite shows and movies.

When mealtime comes, you will have a well-appointed kitchen to show off your cooking skills and surprise the group with delicious culinary masterpieces. Unwind afterward with a soothing soak in the new hot tub. Find serenity in the main bedroom, a true book lover's paradise, with a library of various reads for further enjoyment.

Very cozy and comfortable home. We enjoyed ending each evening with shuffleboard and hot tub time. The home was very clean and had fun decor in each room.

Super cool and relaxing. House was comfortable and entertaining. Yard was pretty overgrown and back deck was covered in leaves and pollen but nothing can be perfect. Coffee maker takes 30 minutes but everything else provided was sweeeet! Would stay here again no doubt.

Great place for our family of 4. Beautifully decorated, has the basic essentials, quiet neighborhood in town. Kids loved the shuffleboard and twin beds. Great location for exploring the area, relaxing house to come back to in the evenings. Record player was a nice addition. Liked the washer and dryer being available, because kids. Wish we had time to try out the hot tub, but the kids loved the cozy robes to hang out in because the AC works great which is what you want in the summer. Hope to come back again in the fall! One thing to watch out for is the uneven wood floor between the front room and kitchen, one of the kids got a splinter when barefoot. I moved the kitchen rug to cover that space. Hope the owners patch that up, otherwise the house is nicely renovated.

The pictures of the house Mede me feel the house was OK. When I got there, I was surprised to see that it was so much better than what I expected. It was such a neat place and highly recommend it!!!

Love Bleu Haus

We came to Johnson City to run Texas Switchback which was very close to the race. The house is beautiful, very close to downtown, restaurants, LBJ National Park and many other activities. Walking distance to everything and the house was amazing! Highly recommend staying here!

The antique features with modern conveniences really sold it for us. I needed a vacation spot in a pinch for myself and my sons. The Blue Haus was perfect for us. We loved the design and upgrades, we loved the relax lounge with shuffleboard, and got amazing sleep. We'll definitely be back!

Looking forward to my next stay here!!!

This is by far the most charming vacation rental I have ever stayed in! The beds were comfy and the neighborhood is lovely and very safe. The best part is that you are in walking distance of all that Johnson City has to offer. It was only a 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants and the holiday lights. Also nearby is many breweries and wineries - Johnson City is the gateway to all that Fredericksburg has to offer without all the crowds. The Blue Haus is the place to be!

Fun place, good location.

Front door key pad was broken but we were able to contact the property management and get the lock box code for the keys and used those for the weekend. Place was extremely clean and nicely appointed. The shuffle board was fun after a day of winery hopping. Not for a large group of friends or multiple couples since the one bedroom has twins but great location for the Johnson City Christmas lights!

Lovely home

I stayed over Valentines weekend with two teenage girls and the home was perfect for our needs. We very much enjoyed the decor in the house and using the hot tub. We also had one little issue with the coffee maker, but the property manager was quick to contact us and solve the problem.

Girls weekend

We came to Johnson City for the festivities of Christmas! Blue Haus was the perfect location, walkable to everything in town. The home was a s described. Cozy, thoughtfully decorated, eclectic yet modern. We enjoyed the outside furniture on the deck. It was a perfect weather evening. The beds were very comfortable and it was plenty of space for the four of us! Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Great Location for the Functions We were Attending

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Haus. The location was excellent for the functions we were attending. This house was very clean. We did encounter several large bugs crawling in this location. Also, the neighbors fairly noisy and being so close to the main road there was also added noise. Suggestion would be add some ceiling fans and a motion sensor light under the car port.

Great Space Close to Downtown

Absolutely loved the space! There was plenty of room at the house to cook, relax, and hang out with friends, but we didn't take advantage of those as much as we had plans to go out and take in the town. While not right off of the main streets in the town square, this charming house is only a 5-10 minute walk from the square, where there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops to explore. No need to drive and find parking! What a nice little retreat with plenty of amenities for a comfortable stay. I look forward to the next time we're in the hill country to stay here again!
