In the Hill Country, just minutes from the sparkling shores of Lake Travis. Pavo Real is a modern, one-story Spanish-style home that was designed to make you exhale the moment you walk in.
Wild peacocks actually roam the neighborhood. Spot one & you'll understand exactly why we named it what we did.

The Renovation —
What It Means for You. A lot of properties get listed as "updated" when what that really means is a new coat of paint and a microwave from 2019. This is a full renovation. New floors. New fixtures. New kitchen finishes. New bathrooms. The bones of a beloved Hill Country home with everything inside done fresh, modern, and right. You'll feel it the moment you walk in.
The bottom line-
1,200 square feet sounds modest. The way this home lives feels anything but. Smart layout, thoughtful design, and a renovation that respected the Spanish character of the home while bringing everything fully into the modern era. It punches well above its square footage — and guests always comment on it.
Full Home Access
Every room, every space, every corner of this home is available to you and your group:
All 3 bedrooms — fully furnished, fresh linens, ready for your arrival
Full bathrooms — nicely appointed
Full kitchen — every appliance, every cabinet, every drawer. Cook like it's your own home because for this stay, it is
Living room — kick back, stream your shows, gather the group
Laundry room — washer and dryer fully available. Detergent provided. Do your laundry, stay longer
All outdoor areas — the front entry, driveway, side parking area, and yard are all yours to use freely. Worth noting - if you have lake toys and/or an RV then you can store on the lower lot. The property is 1/3 an acre.
A Note on Private Areas
To ensure the home stays in top condition for every guest, there is one locked owner's storage area that is not part of the rental. Everything else — every room, every cabinet, every outdoor space — is fully available to you.

1. Weather & Seasonal Tips
Guests from out of state are often caught off guard by Austin weather. Heres simple heads-up:
Summer (Jun–Sep): Expect 95–105°F. Sunscreen, water shoes, and a hat are non-negotiable at the lake.
The AC in the home is set at 75 during the day and 71 at night.
Spring & Fall: Absolute perfection. Best time to visit. Pack a light layer for evenings.
Winter: Mild but occasionally freezing. Lake activities slow down but the Hill Country is beautiful and uncrowded
Storms: Central Texas gets fast-moving thunderstorms. If one rolls in off the lake, it passes quickly — don't let it ruin your day

Bugs: Mosquitoes are real near the lake, especially at dusk. Bring or grab bug spray at HEB.
Scorpions & spiders: Rare indoors but possible in a Hill Country home — shake out shoes left outside
Snakes: Occasionally seen near the water — admire from a distance, never approach
Deer: Roam freely through the neighborhood — magical, not dangerous

5. Getting Around — Transportation Tips
A car is essential — Hudson Bend is not walkable to everything and rideshare can be slow to arrive in this area Uber and Lyft are available but response times can be 15–20 min, especially late night
Designate a driver if you're heading to the Oasis or Steiner Ranch Steakhouse for dinner — the roads back are dark and winding
Nearest gas station 7-11
