Just what the family needed....Lakefront fun in the sun, we loved the kayaks and boat dock. Our ausitinite friends came over on their boat for dinner. The home was perfect size for our family...we will book again next time we are in town!
Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The property is located on a hilltop with beautiful views, and each room had excellent cold air conditioning, which was a lifesaver in the Texas heat.A couple of things to note: the gravel road and driveway can be a bit rough if you're driving a low-clearance vehicleâan SUV handles it much better. Also, if you park on the lower driveway, be prepared for a lot of stairs to reach the house. Itâs manageable, but something to keep in mind if mobility is a concern.Overall, itâs a peaceful and well-equipped home, perfect for a relaxing getaway near Lake Travis.
Great little hidden away place! Hosts are awesome and quick to answer! Kids had a blast! The dock and kayaks came in handyâ kids were on the lake all weekend. Plenty of space, kitchen had all we needed and very clean overall! Thanks again! Hope to be back in the future!
Could have been cleaned better and sprayed for insect.
The bugs, spiders and scorpion etc. in the house was bad. Didn't like the driveway. To hard to get in and out of driveway. I loved the lighting around the house. The stairs was a little rocky. The lamp in the bedroom upstairs to the right of the bathroom. Next to the window would not stay on. Same bedroom the ceiling fan light the sting came off. It's on the dresser. I loved the atmosphere. Remember me of being at my own house. Thank you for letting me and my family stay at your resident.
Had a very nice time at the house. The house was clean, well supplied and the hosts very responsive to any questions. The patio areas and the views were wonderful. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
Our stay was great, the family loved it and it will forever be a cornerstone in my family as a place where we turned a corner in life together. Great owner, very helpful. We would definitely love to stay again!
This is a wonderful gem just outside of Austin. Corie and Bill are one of the best hosts that i have had a pleasure of dealing with. The description of the property was 100% to what you are getting and then some. It felt like being at a home away from home. Hope they continue to maintain the quality of their property and that other guests don't ruin it for the rest of us. Nice job guys!
P.S. Top side parking is tricky and best to back into it. Service dirt road is easier, but more stairs.đ
Quiet, steps are steep getting up to the place. Back drive is best way to get in. Front drive is only accessible from one direction. It was a good thing my brothers and sisters were able to get up the steps.
Getting to the property was a little tricky the driveway was narrow and steep, outside property need a little landscape maintenance and the deck is a little outdated, inside was very clean and comfy enough space for the family, bring mosquito repellant they will get you lol.
No water at alll lake travis is loosing so much water!! The view's where great , decent price good experience
Hi we really had a pleasurable time. The accommodations were up to par. The effort to locate your lodge was not unreasonable. This Colorado River was a bit disappointing. We were able to find a public fishing area with some extensive effort. Perhaps next year will bring better water levels to the River.
We were excited for our week at the lake until we realized there are no lake views. The host noted the water was low but we all felt the pics without any water shouldâve been the first ones in the posting. 0 out of 3 of us said weâd return to the property for another stay.
THE GOOD- cold ac in the house, comfy beds, patio/deck space, view of the fireworks on the 4th, close to The Oasis, Starbucks, Target, and HEB, fresh cold water gallons
THE NOT SO GOOD- lots of small rolly pollies in the downstairs bathroom, shower head fell off the wall downstairs, we had to buy our own toilet paper and paper towels because there was only 1 roll of paper towels and really low quality TP, the steep and uneven HIKE up and down to get in the house(not ADA compliant), the pillows, not all rooms have AC(sunroom and upstairs office are hot), minimal/no spices, foil, charcoal, and other kitchen items so we had to buy all of these, no way to Uber or Lyft because the house is too hard to get to so weâd go places in the day and stay in all night, and also not the best communication from host. We messaged him the first night because we couldnât find some light switches and lighting. He called immediately and said to call for anything any time of day. When we text to ask for paper towels we didnât get a reply until we checked out and he said he just saw about the paper towels.
Had an amazing time at this property, it was perfect for our group. The hosts were communicative and kind before we got to the property and quickly answered our questions when we asked. The property itself is beautiful, and gave us the perfect getaway we were looking for. Thanks so much!
This property needs a lot of work & cleaning. We saw several small nasty roaches & other bugs. We never felt comfortable in the house. The property is older & needs a major overhaul & cleaning, itâs not easily accessible for small children or elderly. Itâs not easily accessible from the street. It really doesnât have a spectacular view itâs not worth the walk! However, the owners were nice & friendly!
House is nice and clean. Very strenuous to get to. Tons of steep stairs. Very small shower. Still waiting to use the kayak and go swimming. No lake at all.
Had a beautiful time. It was the perfect place for me and the Ms. to reconnect and bond. We watched movies , we watched the sun set on while sitting on the patio, cooked good food, had the best wine and just enjoyed the quite in the hills.
Can't speed or be too dark to find property. I was warned about the upper driveway it is a doosey. But overall we had a good time relaxing in the open air
We have always loved the water and after years of saving, we finally managed to purchase this beautiful waterfront home with perfect lakeside sunsets. We will likely retire soon, but before we do, we decided share our home via the vacation rental system so that others can appreciate the natural wonders of the property.
We don't always make a profit. We intentionally keep our prices low so that almost anyone can afford to stay and enjoy themselves. A five star review is much more gratifying to us than the actual income.
We purchased this property because we wanted Lake Travis lakefront with an open sunset view. We also wanted a property that felt charming with a cottage-like setting and lots of privacy. We were fortunate to get something that had that criteria and also had an easy commute to downtown Austin.
Property is on Lake Travis waterfront with a nearby boat launch, lots of privacy, open decks, and awesome views of the lake. The property also has plenty of nearby dining such as The Oasis on Lake Travis, Torchy's Tacos, Beachside Billy's, and the Steiner Ranch Steakhouse. Easy commute to Austin since its one of the closest lakefront properties to Austin that you can possibly get. Only a few minutes drive the Oasis, Hippie Hollow park, Zip Line tours, and easy drive to Beachside Billy's waterpark. High speed internet and cable TV included.
