The Space:
The reverse floor plan puts the cook's kitchen, dining, and living upstairs where hill and ocean views dominate, with a wood-burning stove, gas grill on the deck, and a lower-level hot tub tucked into a sheltered garden below. Three bedrooms sleep 6 — two queens and a bunk room downstairs.
There are three bedrooms in the home for up to six guests. Two bedrooms have queen-size beds and an additional room with bunk beds completes the downstairs.
There are three decks, a hot tub, and a private, sheltered garden. Thoughtful touches in design and furnishing makes this an ideal destination for couples or families. Top off your day with a soak in the hot tub located on the lower deck.
The living area on the upper level provides a great vantage for the home's ocean view. Simplicity prevails throughout the design and furnishings. The bedroom configuration makes this a perfect home for two couples or a family. Other comfort features include cable TV, DVD, VCR, microwave, stereo with FM, Cassette and CD players.
Come enjoy the striking California Coast at this Sea Ranch home.
PEBBLE BEACH AND THE BLUFF
Pebble Beach and the Bluff Trail are a short walk; Gualala's markets 10 minutes north. Cable TV, DVD, VCR, and stereo carry foggy evenings — the bread maker, gas grill on the deck, and sheltered garden hot tub reward the upper-level cook after bluff walks. Radiant heat downstairs and the wood-burning stove upstairs split warming duties on cold Sonoma Coast nights.

Getting Around:
Plan for a 2.5-hour drive from San Francisco (Highway 101 to Highway 1). If flying, Santa Rosa's Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) is the closest option at about 90 minutes east. You'll want a car here -- the winding coastal roads are half the adventure.
Other Things to Note:
Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.
Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.
Whale watching season runs from December through April -- grab the binoculars and watch for gray whale spouts from your window. Spring (April-June) brings a wildflower show across the coastal meadows -- lupine, poppies, and iris paint the landscape. Summer (June-September) brings the warmest days and longest light. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday.
Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.
