The Space:
Cottages on Cannon is a luxury, group-friendly stay in downtown historic Charleston, created from two high-end apartments booked together. With six bedrooms and six bathrooms, itâs an ideal home base for elevated group trips; wedding weekends, milestone celebrations, corporate retreats, and multi-family getaways where everyone can stay together without sacrificing comfort or privacy.
Each bedroom features a very comfortable queen bed with premium linens, and every apartment includes its own full chef-ready kitchen, stylish living room with cable TV, and in-unit washer/dryer giving your group the flexibility of multiple gathering spaces and the ease of a boutique-hotel-level experience. Youâll also enjoy fast Wi-Fi throughout and two porches with seating, perfect for slow mornings, pre-dinner cocktails, or a quiet reset between outings.
Although youâre in the heart of the city, Cottages on Cannon sits set back from the street for a more private downtown feel. The layout spans two levels, garden level with a patio and the first floor with a southern covered porch, making it easy for groups to spread out while staying connected.
We provide guest parking onsite and directly across the street, and youâre just three blocks from Upper King Street and steps from CannonboroughâElliotborough favorites like Sugar Bakeshop (on Cannon), Ladles Soups, and J. Stark, with some of Charlestonâs most sought-after dining nearby, including Chubby Fish, Xiao Bao Biscuit, and Chez Nous.

Guests have full access to all areas of the rental, including a private porch at the frontâperfect for relaxing and enjoying Charlestonâs charming atmosphere.
The Neighborhood:
Visitors can shop at Indigo & Cotton located directly next door and across from the apartment; indulge in the cityâs most charming bakery â Sugar Bakeshop - located just across the street from the house. Many of the cityâs most notable eateries are located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, or an easy walk from the rental. In an October 2017 Thrillist article on where to eat in and around Charleston now â 11 of the 29 Charleston eateries listed are in easy walking distance to the home (the rest, an easy car or cab ride away): O-Ku, Callieâs Hot Little Biscuit, Chez Nous, The Darling Oyster Bar, The Grocery, Indaco, The Ordinary, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Warehouse, and Leon's Oysters.
Getting Around:
The Cottages on Cannon is ideally located for exploring Charleston. You're just a short walk from Upper King Street and its many attractions. The free DASH shuttle provides convenient access along King Street, with stops at popular destinations. For those who prefer a more active exploration, bike rentals and pedicab taxis are readily available. For beach lovers, Folly Beach and Sullivan's Island are a quick 20-minute drive away. Guests enjoy the convenience of free parking in our lot directly across the street.

- You acknowledge that you may be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, provide a valid credit card with a name that matches your ID. The information is collected for screening and verification only and is not stored or used for any other purposes.
- You understand that your check-in instructions might be withheld until you have successfully completed the rental agreement and provided a copy of valid ID.
- Any guest who confirms a reservation will be responsible for damages in an amount outlined in the rental agreement.

We are happy to host you for your stay with us! We want every guest to enjoy a comfortable, well-kept, and relaxing experience, so we ask that you observe the following house guidelines during your stay.
1. Please respect the home and our neighborsâšPlease be considerate of neighbors, nearby residents, and other guests at all times. Loud, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior is not permitted.
2. No parties or eventsâšParties, receptions, and similar gatherings are not allowed unless approved by us in writing in advance.
3. Outdoor spaces are for quiet enjoymentâšPorches and outdoor areas are intended for relaxation and casual conversation. In accordance with the Charleston County noise ordinance, quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM. After that time, noise and music must be kept to a minimum out of respect for neighbors and other guests.
4. Please keep the property tidyâšPlease keep the home, porches, and surrounding exterior areas clean and free of trash or debris during your stay. Drinks, bottles, and personal items should not be left lying around inside or outside.
5. Please help us care for the homeâšTo protect the property, please use coasters on wooden furniture, place coolers only in the designated outdoor area, and avoid wearing high heels inside the home. Please flush only toilet paper, do not rearrange furniture, do not attach anything to walls, doors, or furnishings, and do not use deadbolts to hold doors open. Please do not lean on or stand on porch railings.
6. Store personal items discreetlyâšTowels, garments, bicycles, beach gear, and other personal items should not be hung, stored, or left in exterior areas where they are visible from the street or neighboring properties. Bicycles must be stored only in approved areas.
7. No smoking, vaping, or open flames indoorsâšSmoking, vaping, and open flames are not allowed inside the property.
8. No petsâšPets are not permitted at the property.
9. Please follow parking and vehicle guidelinesâšRVs, campers, boats, motorcycles, and other oversized or prohibited vehicles may not be operated, stored, or parked on the property. Please follow all parking instructions provided by our team.
10. Thermostat settings must remain within rangeâšFor system performance and property protection, HVAC thermostats must remain within the 69 to 76 degree range.
11. Please request approval for visitors and onsite servicesâšReservations should reflect the correct number of overnight guests. If you would like to invite visitors to the property or arrange any onsite services, including professional photography, hair styling, or other third party salon services, please obtain host approval in advance.
12. Booking details may be requestedâšReservation requests may be subject to additional review. If requested, please be prepared to provide the full name of the primary guest, the total number of guests, and the reason for your stay.
13. Please report any concerns promptlyâšUpon arrival, please let us know promptly if anything appears damaged, missing, or unsatisfactory. If any issue arises during your stay, notify us right away so we have the opportunity to help.
14. Local rules and booking terms applyâšGuests must comply with all applicable local rules and the booking terms in effect at the time of reservation, including the cancellation policy.
