A very nice place and a pleasant stay. We didn't understand from the listing that the loft is accessed by a ladder, and as seniors we felt that ruled the loft out as a place to sleep. The double futon on the ground floor was comfortable. Loved the book collection. Host was accessible and helpful.
Karynâs cottage was lovely! Great location and very clean and cozy. Seamless check in and check out experience. Would definitely love to stay here again
Cabin is cozy and great location. Linens and towels provided. Bathroom is tiny but practical. Owner was very helpful.A special touch was the artwork - loved the Dylan posters.
This little house/cabin is adorable - clean, quiet, functional, perfect for one! It's close to many events. The entire Hudson Valley area is gorgeous this time of year. It also has that tie-dye chill artistic atmosphere one would expect to find in Woodstock! This was a great accommodation choice while attending the NY Sheep & Wool Festival.
My best friend and I stayed here for two nights. It was cozy as expected, but perfect for our needs. Karyn the host was very helpful and easy to get a hold of with any questions or concerns. The cabin is close to the center of town by car.
My only complaint was that the hot water in the shower ran out in less than 10 mins. Thankfully I don't take long showers, but I was surprised it ran out so quickly.
Cheers,
Erin
I stayed here for 4nights with my kittens and it was overall a very cute and quiet place, I really enjoyed my stay, I would love to come here again sometime!!
The property is convenient to both Woodstock and Saugerties. It is a bit small so be prepared to knock elbows is there's more than one of you staying there. The only real problem for me was the sink in the bathroom. I ended up using the kitchen sink to do my necessaries. But its cute and comfortable and the owner is very nice.
This property is a small, sweet, well-appointed, and very comfortable cabin in a beautiful, quiet wooded setting. It feels very private but is not at all isolated. It's decorated with an eclectic combination of whimsy, Woodstock memorabilia and lots of interesting books and other reading material. It's also very close to the center of Woodstock. Thank you Karyn, for sharing your little piece of paradise!
I was a little late booking for Presidents weekend for a family ski trip. This little cabin was perfect. We were able to ski during and then drive back to Woodstock to eat dinner and then bed....my wife liked doing some window shopping in Woodstock. The place is small but that was communicated on the listing. Clean, everything we needed for a fun weekend
I needed a weekend away. I only live an hour and 15 mins away, which was the perfect distance. I planned my spontaneous trip at the last possible minute, and Karyn helped me every step of the way. The second I stepped foot in the door, I felt this calming vibe of comfort. The house was very clean and stocked with your basic essentials, towels, mini toiletries, blankets, pillows (bring pillow cases), plates, cups, silverware, mini fridge and standard kitchen appliances. The decor was fitting for the area with lots of music and art references that I LOVED!!! It's a very short drive to downtown Woodstock and Levon Helms Studio. Karyn was easily accessible by phone with any questions I had, which was great since I was flying solo. I enjoyed chatting with Karyn and can see why the home felt so loved and cared for. I can't wait to come back. I named my stay "At the Little-Red" as an homage to the Big Pink. Thanks again Karyn!
The property was quaint and fit the Woodstock atmosphere we were looking for. It is near to the town center of Woodstock, but very private. The musician posters were great.
This could be a fun stay for young people, but as tall seniors, we didn't really enjoy it. It was smaller than anticipated and the loft was not useable for us. We were told most people don't use the loft anyway. Most concerning, however, was the seeming instability of the floor. In some places it was so squishy I felt I might fall through. In the bathroom, there is a noticeable lean in the floor. The shelf above the sink does not allow for washing or toothbrushing at the very small sink. The kitchen was well appointed and the shower water was great. The futon could have been more comfortable. Overall, it has a Bohemian feel that may appeal to some. Karen was an excellent host.
Lovely setting in a wooded area, a small stream flowing next to us due to recent rain. We had everything we could need. Cute decor, too! The location was perfect for where we needed to go. Thank you!
I love living in Woodstock, NY and have been here 51 years. I have owned this property since 1991 and the rental cabin came into existence in 2003. It had been a potters barn and was transformed in to an adorable living space by a very dear friend. Many folks have enjoyed their stay at chezbevet and there was even a wedding proposal here this year!
The mountains are alluring. The quiet of the area seduced me to buy this property and yet, so close to town that I have even walked on a beautiful summers day. The main house is a very antique little farm house and there was this adorable barn which is now chezbevet.
When you walk up the road you can hear the steam and venture in to see the waterfalls. If one can bask in the shadow of Overlook Mountain, the Indian Folk lore states one will always return. This area has interesting history including the Byrdcliff Arts Colony and the Woodstock Artist Association.
