Our luxury 5-star holiday apartment w/countless all-inclusive services is found in a stunning & peaceful location near the centre of Duhnen & the long. fine-sand beach. Behind the house, you can start your way in the expansive nature of the coastal landscape! Through the house's 'sub-tropical' pool, our apartment is worth a visit during all seasons. There is also a Finnish sauna directly in your holiday complex, along with a steam bath, two tanning areas & a table tennis room. In order for you to be able to relax during your holiday & so that nothing is missing, we have completely newly equipped our apartment with high quality equipment in early 2008. Look forward to a fireplace oven, a luxury steam shower with light therapy, a shiatsu massage chair, a dishwasher, a canopy bed, billiards & air hockey and several TV-devices, a Playstation 2, W-LAN internet, DVD-player & stereo system. Own beach basket, zoo visits, harbour cruises, etc. incl.

Extra services:
Since 2012, in addition to the previously mentioned additional services (zoo by the sea, Phänomenta, beach basket, etc.), our guests have the option of choosing a combined 50-minute harbour and Elbe cruise on the traditional ships 'MS Otter' or 'MS Störtebeker' through the different Cuxhaven harbours like the Amerikahafen and the old fishery harbour incl. live explanations from experienced sea lovers or alternatively they can go on a 2 hour ride to the sea lion banks in front of the coast of Cuxhaven. Both tours are completely free for our guests!!!


Private pool, saunas and solarium:
The private 'sub-tropic' pool with a comfortable 28 degree water temperature is the heart of the complex and is available exclusively and completely free for our holiday guests. It has a considerable size of approx. 70 m2 and was recently completely redesigned so that you can look forward to a high-quality ambiance. Furthermore, our guests have the possibility to use the two 'sauna and relaxation areas' for a small fee of about 1-2 Euro per usage. Here two different saunas (incl. relaxation room, lockers, changing & showering options) await you. Here it deals with a classic Finnish sauna (with waterfall shower) by which you can add aromatic infusions to your sauna trip and there is also a sauna area with a spacious steam bath. In order to round off the wellness area, you also have the possibility to tan under two modern sandwich tanning beds.


Beach and relaxation:
In Duhnen, beach awaits you as far as the eye reaches - and all of this right in front of your day. The kilometre-long, fine-sand beach, the watt sea and the North Sea can be reached quickly and comfortably on foot from our holiday apartment in about 5-7 minutes. You just go along a street and then you are there: in the middle of the Duhnen centre and the countless beach accesses. Children and adults find wonderful swimming fun in the clean, shallow water at the Duhnen Beach. Swimming, building sand castles, diving, playing, surfing, sailing, walking for hours or simply just relaxing in the sand or laying in your own beach basket (already included by us!) - it's up to you. Furthermore, there is a special and separately designed animation beach and even a 'stadium on the sea' where different beach sport fields are found and there are regular animation & event programs from May to September.


Watt and sea.
In addition to the fantastic Duhnen North Sea beach, the watt sea - which is part of the largest watt sea in the world - is the absolute highlight of the region. By low tide, you have the unique opportunity to walk on the sea floor and make interesting discoveries. It is particularly worth walking to the tidal channels where you can take a relaxing bath in the often warm water. A walk in the watt is also healthy and excites the entire body. We can also recommend participating in one of the countless watt hikes. This reach from guides for nature lovers and family tours up to searches for amber. Furthermore, there are events during different times of the year. Nearly year round you have the possibility to discover the watt sea with a horse-drawn carriage and wagon and can go on an excursion to the island of Neuwerk over the sea floor.


Wellness in your holiday apartment:
We want to offer our guests 'luxury & relaxation from every day' during their holiday. Through your own 'wellness oasis' with steam shower, shiatsu massage chair, foot bath and the private pool, the saunas and the tanning areas, our 'wellness holiday home beach pearl' is worth a visit year-round. Be massaged by your own Shiatsu massage chair. This massage chair is an absolute luxury model. Your body will be scanned for a perfect and customized massage e.g. before usage with the help of optical sensors. You will hardly tell the difference between the massage and that of a 'real masseur'. You can choose between whole body, partial body, back, neck, shoulder, thigh, arm, calf & foot massages along with a special music massage. Here you can put a CD into the integrated CD-player and you will be massaged in rhythm with the music!


Holiday city Duhnen:
In Duhnen, you can either spend a relaxing beach or wellness holiday, an athletic active holiday or a social family holiday. There is something for every taste. Through the attractive and central location of your holiday apartment, you will be directly in the centre of Duhnen - the heart of the North Sea resort - in just a few minutes on foot. Here you will find everything you could possible need: Thus, different bars, cafes, ice cream shops and restaurants (From standard, typical North German, international up to luxurious top gastronomy) and countless shops, department stores, boutiques, galleries and souvenir stores that wait to be discovered. Harbours & cruises have tradition in Cuxhaven/Duhnen and give the city the typical radiance. Mixed with the often luxurious art nouveau constructions, Duhnen is a high-quality and unbelievably diverse holiday resort, which has still managed to retain the flair of 'the good old times'.


Harbour and flair - typical North Germany:
Cuxhaven is often named the 'gate to the world'. After all, there are several important harbours here like the Seehafen, Amerikahafen and the Kutter & Fischereihafen. Tourists are fascinated by the large container ships and freight ships. Walking to the Kutterhafen is particularly impressive, where you will have an impressive view when the many crabs and deep sea animals are laying next to each other in the harbour. Here you also have the possibility to buy shrimp, fish & other seafood directly from the fishers! Cuxhaven also offers a docking space for luxury liners, from which different ships started their way to the 'new world'. Now, in addition to the large container ships, you can also see the England ferries and the large cruise ships like the Queen Mary II. Some of these large ship are on their way to Hamburg, others stop directly in Cuxhaven and start from here into the wide world.


Culture, entertainment & attractions in the region:
Something is always happening in Duhnen. Different sports offers like surfing, golfing, horse riding, water skiing, bowling, etc. provide for a wonderful, active holiday. By bad weather, several cultural events make sure you do not get bored. There are over 3,500 (!) events per year in Cuxhaven, from concerts with shanty choirs sand seaman songs up to spectacular shows, theatre and concert presentations from many known artists. During the summer, there are even up to 3 concerts a day. Other event highlights are, for example, the watt festival, the world-famous Duhnen watt race, the summer evenings by the sea, the wine festival, the Cuxhaven medieval spectacle, etc. Fort Kugelbarke, the shipwreck museum, the Aeronauticum, the Ritzebüttel Castle, the Bederkesa Burg, the learning and doing wharf, the museum ship, the nature museum, the zoo directly in the resort park and excursions to Helgoland (tax-free shopping), Bremerhaven, Bremen, Stade & Hamburg are worth it.


Healthy & relaxed:
The climate on the North Sea coast in and around Duhnen is very healthy. The healthy, salty sea air is particularly good for people with breathing & skin problems, but the climate is also extremely healing and soothing for back pain and tension. Staying on the beach or in the watt can be compared with a large inhaler where the many healing agents of the sea climate help all organs of the body. This promotes your relaxation and simultaneously strengthens your body defences. You will notice how your personal well-being will increase from day to day through the healthy climate! The weather in Duhnen is nearly always different (often better) than the global weather reports seen on TV. Low and high tide, wind and climate and also the influences of the gulf stream that are brought in through the oceanic sea warmth from the North Sea in front of Cuxhaven often provide for quick changes in weather and leave little time for long lasting rain.


Ahoy adventure and wave pool:
Our guests do not have to worry about swimming: after all, our large private pool is available to use free of charge. If, however, you want to swim in the sea water (and the North Sea is too cold for you), then you should visit the Duhnen Ahoy adventure pool. Here you can enjoy 28 to 32 degree heated sea water during all seasons and ride an up to 80cm wave every 20 min. Furthermore, there is also an impressive sauna landscape with altogether 7 different saunas, sauna garden & a panorama sauna with a unique sea view. Other highlights in the Ahoy centre are an outdoor pool with a flow channel, whirlpools, the thermal areas with loungers and a water fall, a children's paradise, a large slide, etc. Furthermore, there is also a fitness centre and a Thalasso & wellness centre in the Ahoy centre, with different massage & cosmetic applications.
