The property was very conveniently located to Fairhaven, nearby parks, and the freeway. Overall quiet area. Easy parking. The main attraction for us were the amenities for kids; although I would recommend the posting have a recommended age potentially. I have a three year old and a one year old. The swings and treehouse required a lot of supervision for safety in that age group. There is also a pond in the neighbor's yard that a little one could quickly go running into from the property's yard if unsupervised for even a moment. Our main complaint was that the listing is marked as "not pet friendly." We try to find these properties due to allergies and for cleanliness for the kiddos. It was obvious that the owners, who have some closed off areas on the property and so clearly come in/out intermittently, have a dog or dogs. There was a dog pen under the patio with dog bowls, bags of dog food, and areas where the dogs likely soiled as there were a bunch of flies collected in the bottom patio. These filtered up to the top patio and into the house. The house itself, especially the basement, has an odor of dog. We did message the property manager, who responded promptly, but just said that was the time of the year and brought around some fans to place outside. This disseminated the flies temporarily for a little while, but we really didn't feel very comfortable at that point thinking about what was attracting them to the property, and they still kept coming back.
