Welcome to Alpenglow Chalet & Donner Ridge by AvantStay—two neighboring mountain retreats in Truckee that can be reserved together for an unforgettable large-group escape in the heart of the Sierra Nevadas. With space to comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests, this buyout is ideal for multi-family vacations, reunions, ski trips, and groups who want room to spread out without sacrificing togetherness.
Set among towering pines and crisp alpine air, these homes place you minutes from Northstar, Tahoe Donner Ski Resort, scenic Sierra Nevada trails, and the shimmering waters of Donner Lake. Whether you’re chasing powder days in winter or lake swims and hikes in summer, adventure is always close—and you’ll have two beautifully appointed homes to return to at day’s end.

Alpenglow Chalet
Rustic, warm, and designed for connection, Alpenglow Chalet welcomes your group with soaring wood-beam ceilings, oversized windows, and a dramatic stone fireplace anchoring the open living space. The fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops flows into a forest-view dining area, making shared meals effortless.
Each bedroom features its own ensuite bathroom, offering privacy and comfort for adults, while the loft-style bunk suite—with four full-size beds—is a hit for kids and friends alike. Outside, a spacious deck invites al fresco dining, morning coffee under the pines, and evenings soaking in the hot tub beneath the stars. Guests also enjoy access to Tahoe Donner’s extensive amenities, including pools, hot tubs, fitness center, golf, tennis, trails, and private beach access on Donner Lake.

Donner Ridge
Just as inviting, Donner Ridge blends classic cabin charm with entertainment-forward spaces. Inside, cherry wood floors, vaulted ceilings, and a gas fireplace create a cozy gathering atmosphere, while a pool table sets the stage for friendly competition. The chef’s kitchen features granite finishes, stainless steel appliances, and a large island with bar seating—perfect for casual breakfasts or aprùs-ski snacks.
Upstairs, a loft with an Xbox and multiple controllers offers an additional hangout zone, while the private deck off the living area is ideal for quiet mornings and stargazing nights. With four bedrooms, including two king suites and a bunk room for kids, Donner Ridge is designed to balance shared moments with personal space.

Together, Alpenglow Chalet & Donner Ridge offer the best of Truckee living: multiple gathering spaces, outdoor retreats, family-friendly amenities, and unbeatable access to Tahoe’s year-round recreation. From ski weekends and summer lake days to cozy fireside nights with everyone under one booking, this buyout delivers space, comfort, and mountain magic—multiplied.

Each home is provided with Short Term Tenant cards that allow access to Tahoe Donner amenities. Guests have access to public amenities, including the Downhill Ski Resort, Cross Country Ski Center, Snowplay area, Golf Course, Bikeworks, Equestrian Center, and on-site restaurants. Access to private amenities such as the Beach Club Marina, Trout Creek Recreation Center, Northwoods Pool, and Tennis and Pickleball Center requires a valid Short Term Tenant Card and payment of daily access fees at the time of entry. One card is required per person, per day, for guests age 3 and older.

Tahoe Donner Private Amenity Access Update (2026):
Private amenities require a valid Short Term Tenant Card and payment of daily access fees. Private amenities are not available to short-term rental guests during select peak and holiday blackout periods (public amenities remain available).

- Please note that all Tahoe Donner short-term rental homes are subject to amenity blackout dates beginning January 1, 2026. During these blackout periods, short-term tenants will not have access to private Tahoe Donner amenities, including the recreation centers.
- There is a $16 per person/per day fee to access the amenities in Tahoe Donner such as their shared pool, tennis, and their private beach on Donner Lake. Kids under seven years old are free. But don't worry, if you do not use those amenities, there is no charge, it's entirely up to you if you want to use those amenities.

- Summer: Up to 4 vehicles allowed — 2 in the garage and 2 in the driveway. (Alpenglow Chalet)
