The Neighborhood:

Poinsettia Heights is a quiet, centrally located neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale known for its tree-lined streets and relaxed residential feel. Just minutes from the beach, downtown, and Wilton Manors, it offers easy access to top dining, shopping, and nightlife while still feeling peaceful and local. Guests love the convenient location, quick access to major roads, and the balance of comfort and proximity to everything Fort Lauderdale has to offer.



One thing worth knowing: Poinsettia Heights is residential in the truest sense — these are family homes on small lots, and the houses on either side of us are close enough that a conversation by the pool carries into someone's bedroom. Fort Lauderdale's noise ordinance applies here and our neighbors do report late-night noise. The days are yours to enjoy however you like. We just ask that after 10 PM, the fun moves indoors.



Getting Around:

Navigating the nearby area is relatively straightforward. You’ll be situated in a conveniently located neighborhood walkable to many shops and restaurants. While bringing your own car will give you the most flexibility, there are also many other transportation options for exploring the nearby areas: water taxis, sun trolleys, Uber or Lyft, and the Tri-Rail and Brightline trains.



Other Things to Note:

The pool, hot tub, patio and backyard close at 10:00 PM, every night, no exceptions. After 10 PM we ask everyone to come inside — no swimming, no hot tub, no music and no gathering outdoors until 7:00 AM. Inside the house you're welcome to stay up as late as you like.



We ask this because our neighbors' homes are a few feet from the pool deck. Late-night noise outside is reported to the City of Fort Lauderdale and to the police, and it puts this home's rental license at risk. So this rule is enforced, not suggested:



- No parties, gatherings or events of any kind, at any hour

- Maximum 8 guests, and that number includes daytime visitors — no additional people on the property

- No amplified music or portable speakers outdoors at any time

- Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, indoors and out

- Guests who keep the yard, pool or hot tub going after 10 PM may have the stay ended without refund

- No pets allowed

- No smoking is permitted

- Please don’t park on the grass or street

- No commercial photography

- Don’t leave kids unsupervised in the pool area

- Don’t run on the pool deck to avoid slips & falls

- No diving in the pool

- Please refrain from rearranging furniture

- Don’t flush anything that could clog the toilet

- Avoid putting grease down the sink

- Maximum occupancy is 8

- Check-in form & ID upload required prior to stay

- The pool is heated but can fluctuate in temperature due to the weather and other conditions and may take additional time to heat up

- Stays of 7 days or longer are provided a started pack of supplies but anything after, guests will be required to supply their own supplies



NOISE MONITORING



To protect the home and keep us on good terms with our neighbors, this property has two noise decibel monitors: one indoors in the main living area, and one outdoors on the pool deck.



Please know exactly what these are, and what they are not. They measure sound level only — how loud, and for how long. They do not record audio. They cannot hear or capture conversations. They are not cameras, and there are no cameras anywhere inside this home. Neither device is located in a bedroom, a bathroom, or any sleeping area.



If the volume outside stays above a set level, we receive an alert and we'll send you a friendly message. That is the entire system. It exists so that a quiet word from us can head off a knock from a neighbor or a call to the city — which is a much better evening for you than the alternative. The city of Fort Lauderdale requires a noise monitoring system at all short term rentals for compliance.

Your property manager is based here in Fort Lauderdale and is reachable throughout your stay by message — for anything from a question about the pool heater to a recommendation for dinner. We manage this home locally rather than remotely, and we're in the neighborhood.
