A quiet place in the smokies

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our stay at Elk Springs was wonderful. We brought our two dogs along on this trip. The cabin was clean beautiful and big enough for us to spread out. It was in a quiet area but with easy access and not high in the mountain on windy roads. It was an easy drive to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Great stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was a little hard to find because the address they give you is not the same as on the cabin. Once we got to the cabin it was beautiful and clean. One of the eyes on the stove didn't work and the bed was hard. But other than that it was a great spot.

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived the toiler paoer dispenser was off the wall in one of the bathrooms, the refrigerator was a little dirty, and the light fixer over the pool table was cracked. I emailed Elk Springs and everything was corrected in a few hours. The customer service was on point. I would book with the cabin rental again.

Wonderful Property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful experience at the Elk Springs Resort (Cowboy Way cabin). The place was beautiful, spotlessly clean and available upon our arrival (afternoon). Check-in was easy as access was made via text messages and digital locks on the cabin door. Checkout was as easy as I have ever had at a rental location. Simple instructions for cleaning then a phone call notifying them of your departure.We look forward to returning to Gatlinburg and will definitely consider Elk Springs Resort for our lodging.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was in a nice location and easy to get to. The cabin was nice, but housekeeping could step up their game. We found dirty socks in theater chair and there was a slight smell like something was rotting in the kitchen. I tried locating where the smell was coming from, but couldn’t figure it out. Other than that cabin was nice and we had a nice vacation.

nice getaway

There are things that the resort could do to help visitors out. The downstairs of the cabin does not get heated well, when the upstairs is on fire the kids in the basement are still cold. There are not a hairdryer in the place and salt and pepper would be nice. The cabin, the area all were really nice, I just wish I had been more informed on procedures before hand.

Terrific Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay! Cabin was perfect size! We had a family of 5 so plenty of room! I have a child that loves movies and a child that loves games and activities. Both options were available at the cabin. My 13 year old loved the theater system! My 9 year old loved the games- pool table, hot tub and arcade game! Plenty of space and privacy with 3 floors, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. About 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 15 from Gatlinburg. 10 minutes from Grocery store. We really enjoyed our time together here. Will visit again in the future.

Frist trip to Gatlinburg

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our time at Cowboy Way. The only issue we had was lots of wasps around the outside and some upstairs in the property. We weren't able to use the hot tub until we went to the store to get spray as there were many nests around it. The overview of the property mentioned that there were two king beds, but that's not true. There is 1 king, 1 full, and 1 queen over queen bunk bed. Other than that, we really enjoyed the layout and amenities that it offered.

Family Getaway

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have to say that as our family arrived at our beautiful cabin we fell in love with online, we walked in to total disbelief. I paid a high price for a cabin that was not loved, not maintained, and not updated. Our cabin needed new carpet, it was dirty and not as it appeared in the pictures. The furniture was worn, definately not as it appeared in the pictures, the overall condition of the cabin was average. We couldn't use the hot tub on the deck, a hornet nest was just above it. I have no idea who decides when to replace, update, or clean major item in the cabins but someone dropped the ball. I am definately going to add our pictures online and on trip advisor. The pictures on your website are a misrepresentation of the cabin.

It did not have any cleaning supplies such as a vacuum which would have been nice and the dishwasher was in pretty bad shape and very old. The lower level got very cold and the upper level was extremely hot! Other than that it was very nice. We will come back! The property management were great to work with! Thank you so much!

Secluded and Charming

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We chose this rental resort because they would accommodate my dog. It was nice, clean, and charming. My kids enjoyed the pool table and Hot Tub. When we had an issue with the circuit breaker tripping, they were pretty quick to come out and fix it. The dishwasher needed to be updated. The shower heads weren’t very strong and it would’ve been nice to have a full size washer and dryer, and a Keurig, but other than that it was a nice place. I probably wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re playing at the Ripken Experience because it’s a bit of a drive and not really close to anything (stores, attractions), but if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, definitely a good place to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: So I haven’t booked a cabin in like 10-15 years. Back then cabins was like 99 dollars a night. We took our son and a few friends over. Theywanted to stay in a cabin and go to the island, Dollywood etc. I have to say check in and out was so easy. The hot tub was already on and hot. This place was so nice. We got 4 cars in for parking. The theater actually had Ruku so I’m not sure why the listing says blu ray. I was worried and took blu ray discs. Had darts. Pool table. It’s about 15 mins away from everything but most cabins are. The last day there was a baby bear on the back deck and it was so cool. Seen so many bears! I have some bear stories from the cabin but I don’t know if I should say on here. Bears where awesome though! I will also book next cabin through here. We stayed at cowboy way! No problems at all just relaxation and beauty

Fun New Years Eve Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was perfect for a New Years Eve getaway. I loved booking through Elk Springs and would book again. My biggest complaint is that the cabin can fit up to 10 people but it doesn't have enough things for 10 people. For example, we ran out of toilet paper in the main bathroom (one given 1 roll per bathroom), there were only 8 forks, and we didn't get any sponges to wash dishes. Outside of these small inconveniences, the company was great always checking in on us and gave the perfect amount of information before, during and after our stay.

Great time, perfect location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great stay at elk springs cowboy way. The cabin was very inviting. Had more than ample space. The theatre room and pool table are an amazing addition for those relaxing nights. Only had 2 issues. The jacuzzi was spitting out black specks (not sure if it was from the water or if the jets weren't cleaned properly) and had an issue with the stove not getting hot ( they sent somebody out immediately and had it fixed). The location is directly between gatlinburg and pigeon forge ( 20 mins to each) Overall it was a great stay and I will definitely be back.

Cowboy Way Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the cabin was nice we did have a few issues while there. The cabin wasn’t filthy but it was obvious corners of each room and under beds and table were not cleaned. The amount of dust and dead bugs in certain areas revealed it wasn’t cleaned regularly. We were unable to use the hot tub being that it was surrounded with spiders and huge webs. I understand this is nature but we did not expect to find that so close to the hot tub. The grill was not as clean as we expected either. It had green moss along the sides and the mat under was so dirty and full of grease and algae looking material it should have been changed and the grill cleaned in our opinion. We did enjoy our stay and all in all the cabin was nice it was just a couple of little touches that would have made the stay a bit more enjoyable.
