à propos de cet hébergement
Private Yard w Mountain Views, Walk to Old CO City
Summary:
Beautifully restored 1890s ranch home in the heart of Old Colorado City with big Pikes Peak views and an incredible multi-level backyard with hammocks, fire table, and a large upper deck above the home. Walk a block to coffee, ice cream, shops, and Bancroft Park, or drive minutes to Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon, Manitou Springs, and downtown. Three comfy bedrooms (2 kings), full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, AC, plenty of parking, and amazing private outdoor spaces make this such a great home base.
The Space:
Built in the 1890s and thoughtfully updated, this single-level 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is a piece of Colorado Springs history with some amazing Pikes Peak views.
Inside, youâll find:
âą Open living & dining: Bright, welcoming living room with plenty of seating, large windows framing the mountains, and a 58" smart TV for movie nights. The dining table seats six comfortably.
âą Full kitchen with a view: Cook while gazing at Pikes Peak. Granite counters, quality cookware, baking essentials, coffee maker, and the basics (oil, salt, pepper, coffee).
âą Laundry Room: full size washer and dryer and foosball table!
âą Three comfortable bedrooms
âą Bedroom 1: King bed, TV, dresser, closet, and ensuite bath.
âą Bedroom 2: King bed, TV, desk/workspace, closet.
âą Bedroom 3: Queen bed, desk/workspace, closet.
âą Two bathrooms
âą One with a walk-in shower.
âą One with a tub/shower combo.
Outside really shines (our current photos don't do it justice):
âą Large upper deck perched above the home with lounge seating, hammocks, and a gas fire table facing Pikes Peak.
âą Staggered seating areas across the two-tiered yard, so everyone can find their own spot to read, chat, or sip something cold.
âą Lower patio with dining table for six, extra chairs, string lights, and a generous fenced yard with xeriscaping and open sky.
At 1,774 sq ft, thereâs room for everyone to spread out, reconnect, and soak up those Colorado sunsets. We hope you'll love your stay here!
Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the entire home and yard, including:
âą All three bedrooms and two bathrooms
âą Full kitchen and laundry room (washer & dryer)
âą Two-level deck and backyard with multiple seating zones, hammocks, dining, and fire table
âą Large driveway and covered carport parking (please park in the driveway rather than on the street, per local permit rules)
Guests do NOT have access to the locked garage, shed, and a housekeepers closet inside.
Self check-in is via secure keypad; your unique code will be sent before arrival. Exterior security cameras are located at the front door, garage, and shed for safety and to monitor the propertyâs exterior only.
The Neighborhood:
The home sits just off the main stretch of Old Colorado City, one of Colorado Springsâ most charming and walkable historic districts.
Within a short walk youâll find:
âą Local favorites including Story Coffee Company, La Baguette, and ice cream at the Creamery
⹠Casual cafés, great BBQ, breweries, cocktail bars, and speakeasy-style spots
âą Boutiques, galleries, seasonal farmers markets, and frequent live music at Bancroft Park
We love that it feels quiet and peaceful at the house while still being steps from food, drinks, and shopping. Garden of the Gods, Red Rock Canyon Open Space, Manitou Springs, and the Pikes Peak Highway are all just a short drive from your front door.
Getting Around:
Ours is a very walkable neighborhood so feel free to leave the car parked and wander Old Colorado City on foot.
Approximate drive times:
âą Garden of the Gods: 5â10 minutes
âą Red Rock Canyon Open Space: 5â10 minutes
âą Manitou Springs & Manitou Incline: 10 minutes
âą Downtown Colorado Springs: 10 minutes
âą Pikes Peak Highway entrance: 20 minutes
Ride-share services are readily available, and thereâs ample driveway/carport parking if youâre bringing multiple vehicles (6+).
Other Things to Note:
âą Historic home quirks: The home is over 130 years old, so youâll find some old house charm along with a few quirks. Floors are slightly uneven in places, and there are small interior and exterior steps, including those leading to the second bathroom and the upper deck. The steps up to the top deck are relatively steep and can become slippery in rain, snow, or ice. During winter, we provide shovels and sand, and we keep up with snow removal whenever accumulation exceeds 2 inches. Because of these factors, the home may not be ideal for guests with significant mobility challenges.
âą Climate & comfort: There is central heat and AC, plus portable fans in bedrooms. As with many older homes, it can take a little time to fully heat or cool the space; please keep windows/doors closed when running AC or heat.
âą Cleanliness & care: Our cleaning team pays close attention to detail, and we schedule regular professional pest and maintenance visits to keep the home in great shape. If anything feels less than right on arrival, let us know and weâll address it quickly.
âą No pets: Unfortunately we cannot host pets due to severe homeowner allergies.
âą Smoking: No smoking or vaping indoors. Outdoor smoking is allowed only in the designated area; please dispose of butts safely.
âą Families: A pack ân play and high chair can be provided on request, just let us know before your stay.
âą Colorado Springs STR License: A-STRP-24-0775.
Interaction with Guests:
Youâll have the home entirely to yourself, but we are nearby if you need anything. Weâre happy to:
âą Answer questions about the house
âą Offer restaurant, coffee, hike, and activity recommendations
âą Help troubleshoot any issues during your stay
