It definitely had that cozy cottage feel! The beds were comfortable, the master bedroom was spacious, and it was in a good location for all the places we wanted to go to visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house was centrally located to Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak etc! Liked that we could sit in both the front and back of the house. The only drawback is that the kitchen is small, only 1 person can be in there at a time.
This cottage was perfectly cozy for meeting up with our college kid for a weekend. It was a perfect blend of cozy space-indoors and out-but also ample bed space for everyone to get a good night's sleep. The snacks were a welcime treat after a long day of travel. Clean, comfortable and cozy!Easy access to Garden of the Gods and Manitou restaurants and stores. We also enjoyed hiking at North Cheyenne Canyon and dining at Mausum.
I met my brother for a reunion and it was perfect. Well supplied and absolutely adorable. Lots of great snacks and in the middle of Colorado Springs and Manitou - 5 minutes either way. . Easy to get to all the tourist attractions. A couple of little glitches but the Host was immediately responsive. Only drawback is a very small kitchen, but we were not planning on cooking anyway.
Beautiful home in a great location near center Manitou and Old Colorado City. Clean and comfortable! Stayed for the weekend to hike the Manitou Incline and attend a concert at the Ford Amphitheater.
This house is very close to Pike's Peak and Mannitou Incline so it was perfect for our hiking vacation. It's a sweet little house with character, lovely furnishings and a beautiful yard where we enjoyed eating breakfast. We had 4 adults in our group and it was a great size. It would be a little tight for 6 adults, and 2 would have to walk through another bedroom to get to their bedroom, but the third room would be a perfect room for children.
The Emerald Nest was a great choice for my 2 adult children and myself to stay 3 nights in Colorado Springs, from Minnesota. With a grocery store right across the street, we were able to comfortably use the kitchen and dining room to host a dinner for another son, his wife, and their 3 children. All were impressed by the home, saying "good choice", "great place", "so fun", "we'll have to stay longer next time!"We used the front porch each morning to have coffee and plan our days. We were entertained by a doe and 2 fawns in the back yard! We enjoyed the Red Rock Canyon Open Area, visited my son's home, and watched his kids play recreational football while there.Everyone now has a reference point for future stays in the area, and I'll plan on staying in the Emerald Nest when I return for visits. Thanks, Cindy!
The house was cute, charming, clean and nicely decorated. The front porch was nice and enjoyable in the evenings. The view of the mountains was nice, in the evenings as the sun goes down, you can see all the lights start to show up on the mountain side. It was magical. Everything was easy to find in the house, and the snacks were very thoughtful. The downfall of the house, is the air conditioning. There is a small fan in the bedroom I plugged into the front room to circulate the air from the unit, to try to help. We also closed the bedroom door a little to get that room to cool with that unit. This helped quite a bit. We couldnât sit outback because of the overgrown sunflowers next to every sitting area, that is an easy fix just remove the plants next to the chairs, the grill and the fire pit. I am 100% sure if I would have called Cindy this would have been taken care of. Overall it was an enjoyable stay, we would stay again, and I have already recommended this house to a few friends.
It was the perfect location. The owner was very accessible. My son forgot his glasses and she responded immediately and mailed them the next day! The garden was so fun and the house was perfect for us, couldnât have asked for more!
