Cette maison de 9 chambres au bord du lac dispose de 4 chambres principales, chacune avec sa propre salle de bain et sa terrasse privĂ©e, toutes avec vue sur le lac. Maison dort 22. Cuisine gastronomique avec des siĂšges Ă  l'intĂ©rieur pour 20 invitĂ©s, plus beaucoup de siĂšges en plein air. Plan d'Ă©tage ouvert avec une grande cheminĂ©e en pierre. Plate-forme large de 80 pieds, face au lac. House est idĂ©al pour les grandes familles ou les rĂ©unions de famille. Apportez vos bateaux et jet-skis! Wonderful vacation! Awesome house

Our family had a wonderful stay. The house was amazing, the Views were beautiful and it accommodated all our needs. So comfortable, organized and clean. Despite our not so good weather, we had a great time mainly bc the house was so accommodating. The owners were so hospitable in welcoming us and responsive to all our needs. We hope to do this same vacation next year!! Thank you owners for being so awesome!!

Amazing home, location and owner

This home is absolutely beautiful and so well thought out. The main floor is huge with seamless transition from kitchen, living and outside which makes it easy for the whole family to enjoy or to entertain. The bedrooms are really well done, all with bathrooms. and 4/5 have walk out decks. The downstair game room was a hit with the kids. We challenged one another to basketball, foosball and darts as well as sunk into the big couches for movie nights on the massive TV screen. Downstairs there is also a small kitchen area with an additional full size refrigerator and microwave . The home is well decorated with small touches that keep your mind focused on relaxing and enjoying time with friends and family. The views of the lake from the house are wonderful and yet the outside provides even more inspiring views. You can sit on the deck, around a fire pit or down by the dock to relax and enjoy the beauty of the lake. Speaking of the lake, this home has a really nice dock and a swim platform. We brought our boat there so we could take the kids out on the lake. The boat slip was well done which made it easy to dock. The kids loved to swim right from the dock and go out on the private swim dock. The house is in a little cove which makes it very quiet and feels safely tucked away for kids. The owner was extremely helpful throughout and very gracious. He provided us with communications in advance to help prepare for the trip, directions by car/boat and assistance with planning for docking our boat. He also asked us our kids ages and had plenty of games available for them to play when not in the water. When we texted him a question on something while we were there, he quickly answered and also checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. We had an amazing time at this gorgeous home and lots of great family memories. Many thanks to Eric and his family for sharing his home with us!

Winter Relaxation

Beautiful modern clean spacious friendly house overlooking a beautiful lake in eastern PA. Quiet and peaceful but about 10 minutes from fully equipped town. Close to state park with nice trails and frozen lakes. Owner Eric was very accessible and helpful. Enjoyed the Eastern European specialties at the unusual gas station general store down the road. . I hope we get to come back when the weather is nicer. Couldn’t be beat for a family winter retreat. So much fun - and a great house. Thank you!

Perfect lake house

The house is huge. The expansive kitchen and many outdoor spaces were ideal for a wonderful fall weekend. The views were incredible, which including some bald eagle sightings. The kids loved skipping rocks and playing games. We hope to rent again soon.

"Best vacation ever"

Beautiful, large house, great hosts!

We spent Thanksgiving at the house with 18 people. The house was great, and could easily accommodate the large group. The porch overlooking the lake was a perfect spot to watch the beautiful sunsets, and the house was great for just hanging out when it was cold outside. Eric and Karl were so helpful and kind. We would highly recommend this house!

The BEST family reunion ever at the lake!

There aren't enough stars to review this fantastic , stunning lake house! It gets 5 + stars from us!!!! Eric and Mike were helpful beyond belief answering all of our questions. They did so quickly too! The beautiful lake front home that they built is a sight to see. Pictures truly do not do it justice. You can see the labor of love that went in to this home! The space, the view, the water, the amenities, the decor .......were all amazing. There were 22 of us! We traveled from 4 different states. We all had ample space and lots of common areas to gather. This was by far our best family reunion ever! Thank you to the Gercken family for sharing their lake front home with our family!

Best home on the lake!

We have rented homes on the lake for many years and this is by far the most beautiful home we've ever had. It didn't feel like a rental, it really felt like we were home. The home is kept is such excellent condition, spotlessly clean & stocked with everything you could need & more! The outdoor seating & view is second to none. The family we worked were all wonderful. One more accomodating than the next. If you're lucky enough to reserve a week here you will not be disappointed. We had 21 people & never felt the least bit crowded.

Beautiful

We are so happy we booked this house. It was so beautiful and the views of the lake stunning. The house was so well stocked and the owners Mike and Eric were so easy and nice to deal with. The lay out of the house was perfect with all 4 masters having their own bathrooms. You get a very welcoming and warm feeling from this house . You can just tell by the family photos and decor they spend fun times here making great memories. That’s the way I go through life wanting to create memories for my family. We had so much fun on the lake and back at the house. We did eat out one night but the rest of the time we had no reason to leave. We used the fire pit and the one day it was cool so we lit the beautiful fireplace in the house . Nice touch for sure . We hope to rent again in the future because we absolutely loved it !!

Beautiful, clean, and trainquil

My family of 19 members had a reunion here at the property. We stayed for three nights and everyone loved it! The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. We all felt it gave enough privacy for the individual families (there are seven bathrooms). The two large refrigerators helped a lot since we brought a lot of food with us. We enjoyed boating, fishing and built bonfires. The lake view was gorgeous. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a large space in a beautiful location.

Fabulous Thanksgiving Holiday 2017 at the Gerkens

If there were 100 stars , that would be my rating!! We rented this house with no information but the reviews on the Gerken's website. This house is beautiful, clean , inviting, gorgeous views but most importantly you can feel the love it was built with. Our family spent Thanksgiving 2017 at the Gerkens and it was the best. We were able to stuff 2 turkeys and make 2 pies at the same time because the kitchen island is so large. The house had everything we needed and a note in the pantry telling us to feel free to help ourselves. Everything was exactly as described and frankly better. Eric and Michael were so kind and helpful in answering my many questions as the vacation approached. I feel like the Gerken's are friends. We only left the house once ....there was so much there to do and it was so relaxing. You will not be disappointed and probably find that the Lakehouse exceeds your expectations. Our family ranged in age from 1 to 65 and plenty of 20 year olds. We loved singing around the firepits, darts, card games and much more. God bless the Gerken family for sharing their lovely home with us.

Family / friends reunion. We've been doing it for 10 years stright, same group!

Stayed in numerous VRBO homes before, but this one was absolutely the best! House was close to the lake, and sat up high, so the view was spectacular (beautiful sunsets). Nine bedrooms accommodated our 20+ guests very nicely. The Gerckens were excellent to deal with, and everything they described / committed to was there. We had a very fine Fall weekend, as a result of this very fine home.

Great House

We recently rented the house for a golf weekend with 18 guys. This house is a great one with plenty of space. It's really nicer than the photos show. We had nothing to complain about at all. The owners were easy to deal with and we will likely be going back.

Tremendous House and Location

Our two families recently rented the Gercken's Lake house for a week and we had a tremendous time. Everything about the house is first class, the locations is the best on the lake, and everything you would want is close by. In total 16 of us ranging in age from 6 months to 66 years, thoroughly enjoy all the house and the lake has to offer. We rented a boat, wave runner, and paddle board locally and really enjoyed the dock area, waterskiing, touring the lake, and stopping at the lake side restaurants. The house has everything and the Owners were really great to deal with. Highly recommend the house and we look forward to coming back.

Family Gathering

My brother and I hosted a celebration for our parents 60th wedding anniversary. We came from Los Angeles, Chicago, NYC, Philadelphia, Virginia and Goshen NY. The house was easy to get to. The house is beautiful and accommodated the 14 of us perfectly. The common areas were the best, outside and in with stunning views of the lake. There is a great dock for boating, swimming, sunning and a fire pit (2 acutally) for marshmallow roasting and evening socializing. Owners Mike and Eric were wonderful to deal with and were available to help/advise in all capacities. I have rented a variety of vacation homes and this experience was by far the best!

Stupendous from every single angle!!!

Our entire Year-long experience, from the fledgling stages of planning to saying goodbye to the Poconos, was simply astounding. 25 family members from around the country gathered at the Gercken's house to celebrate an amazing woman's journey of 90 years! The entire experience was exceptional. Mike was nothing short of phenomenal to interact with during the planning stages, answering an endless list of questions. Upon arrival, he toured us around the house and offered his cell number in case there was a single thing we needed. The house is gorgeous and well stocked. The 4-day experience has created lasting memories and it would not have been possible without this grand and spectacular house and its owners. Thank you, thank you! PS....There should and must be a picture of Mike in the dictionary under the phrase, "perfect landlord."

Birthday Party Extraordinaire

Eric and Mike, et al. Just a quick note to say "thank you" for sharing your house with us. We had a fantastic time....all 23 of us. What a great house, fully equipped and really well designed! How you can fit 23 people under one roof, ages 4 months to 64 years, enjoy each other's company and still have quiet and privacy if you wanted it.....that's no small accomplishment. Our daughter and grandson share a birthday which we celebrated during our 4 day stay. Birthday party, pumpkin carving contest, fantastic view, coffee on the deck in the morning, bon fires at night, etc., etc., etc., it was a perfect 4 day Fall weekend, one our family will never forget. "God willing and the creek don't rise", put us in the book for next year. Your attention to the details and "customer service" could not have been better, and that's not an exaggeration! Friends get away!

We spent 4 days, 3 nights on Lake Wallenpaupack. There was 13 of us and we had a fantastic time. The home and setting was beautiful! The Gercken brothers were wonderful to work with. Very kind. We did all kinds of fun things. Took out a rented pontoon boat. Went swimming off the dock, well some of us who could stand the cold water in late Sept. Did some near by hiking. A very private setting. We enjoyed a fire every night. To top it off we were there during the "Red Moon" and the view was fantastic! The weather was perfect. We ate every meal out on the gorgeous deck! We saw more bald eagles then I ever have in my whole life. Thank you so much Gercken family I will definitely be staying at Lake Wallenpaupack in the future. A very happy group of friends! :)

Fantastic family reunion!

We recently spent 6 fantastic days in June in this beautiful house on Lake Wallenpaupack! There were 21 of us there for a family reunion and a 60th wedding anniversary celebration for our parents. This was the perfect spot. The contact with the Gerckens before, during and after was incredible. Always helpful and generous. The house was perfect for us as we were 6 families. The kids loved the privacy of the basement area and there was so much for everyone to do! A half a mile from the property in the middle of the lake was a small island with bald eagles nesting! It was quite spectacular to paddle or boat out each morning to see the eagles and their young. If we could be so fortunate as to have another holiday with all the family, we would definitely call on the Gerckens again. Thank you guys so much for making our celebration such a special one! 4 Brothers from Westfield, NJ built this house for their families (12 children) in 2005.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

One of the brothers has been coming to this lake since high school, more than 20 years. During a family birthday party, they came up with the idea of owning a vacation property between all the families. Twelve (12) years later, we're still going strong and enjoying every moment we have as a family.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We fell in love with the large lakefront property, and built a custom house to accommodate 4 families. The functionality of the house, allows us to enjoy all activities together without feeling crowded. We chose an open floor plan with enough room for the whole family to be eating and enjoying each others company all in once space. We kept the house rustic in design with all cedar ceilings, 8 foot alder doors, alder wood kitchen cabinets, and a beautiful huge stone fireplace as the centerpiece.
