Wonderful stay

Had a great time on the lake and enjoyed the optional pontoon boat. Norbert was very responsive and helpful the whole time. I would highly recommend this house.

House was clean and communication was great. House acvomodated all of our family. Loved the back deck and porch and spent lots of time there. Great neighborhood and amenities! Would definitely stay again!

Great family vacation home on the lake

Our family of 10 was very comfortable here and enjoyed the boat and jet skis/wave runners! A gorgeous location on Lake Wallenpaupack with everything you need. Only issue was that there are only two full bathrooms FYI but we made it work with these and the two half baths. Great owner who was very helpful. Would definitely choose again!

Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Only comment would be the beautiful accessories in the house needed to be moved as they weren’t in child friendly places.

Super VRBO

This was an excellent place to stay for a week. Plenty of room for all. Covered grill area and covered hot tub. Deck is toddler proof. Easy access to dock. May be the best VRBO we have ever booked. Stores in Hamlin and Hawley for groceries, carry-out, bait, etc. Caught fish for breakfast right off the dock. Would highly recommend this rental.

Fantastic Birthday Getaway!

We had the best time staying at this property with our family of 12. It’s perfect for a large group! The property owner was very professional and accommodating. He reached out to us throughout our stay to make sure everything was ok! We loved the amenities including the large dining table, beautiful kitchen, hot tub, fire pits and lake access! Hopefully we can return to do it again! We highly recommend this property!

Fabulous house

My extended family of 12 - 15 guests had a wonderful time at this home! It is better than the pictures brighter and airy, we never felt crowed. The Kitchen space is really wonderful and fully equipped. The outdoor porch was expansive, the hot tub was big, hot and has lots of jets, the covered porch area was perfect. We ate dinner outside every night, even when it rained. The lake is not as far away as it appears in the pictures, while there is a hill to go up/down, my 74 year old parents were able to handle it. We were able to rent the boat from the owner which made everything easy, it was a very high quality, in perfect shape boat. Lastly we loved the fire pit, used it every night, the yard was large enough for out door games, Kanjam, etc. I highly recommend the place. The owner was also exceptionally responsive and helpful!

Great family getaway

Beautiful home and very well equipped with everything you may need. We had an issue with heat in one of the bedrooms but Norbert was able to resolve it. We were disappointed that the indoor pool at the community center next door was closed for maintenance during our stay but I guess they have to do it sometime. We did enjoy the hot tub and the fire pit.

An AMAZING Place to Stay!!!

If you want a perfect weekend away, this is the place to stay! The house is gorgeous and was VERY clean! The hot tub and the community indoor pool (which is right next to the house) were a hit with the teens. There is a bit of a hike down to the water, but we had a great time having rock skipping contests and a polar plunge!! My only caution is there are not many places to eat near by, so make sure you either bring food. However, there is a grocery store (Weiss) about 20 minutes away for those last minute missed items. The owner was wonderful to work with and answered all our questions right away. Thank you so much for all you did for us. It was a JOY to stay here and we look forward to coming again!

Family time

Family time. Chose this house to spend some time with my family after the loss of my husband. And it was everything I hoped for Norbert was an excellent host and the house was everything you could want. I’ll be staying here again sometime very soon. Everything in and out of the house was just beautiful.

A beautiful escape

When I was looking for a house to rent I viewed many properties. This house stood out because the pictures were warm and inviting. This is such a beautiful property. It feels like you’ve rented a home, and not just a house. It is beautifully decorated, clean and the lake is breathtaking. The home owners are great. They made themselves available to answer any questions I had. They also encouraged us “city girls” to not be afraid to feed the deer that ventured onto the property. The owners thought of everything. The house has so much to offer. The kitchen was a huge focal point for my friends and me because we spent hours talking as we sat around the beautiful island. A good time all around. Cheers!

Beautiful Home!

We spent a weekend in this beautiful home for my son's 18th birthday. There is plenty to do on the property. My son and his friends had a blast in the hot tub, canoeing in the lake, and enjoying evenings by the outdoor fire pit. The house is very spacious and extremely clean with all of the amenities you would ever need and more. The owner was extremely communicative and replied to all of my emails and texts within minutes. I would definitely stay there again!

Better than any of us expected

The photographs don't really do the property justice. It truly is a fantastic little getaway that we all couldn't believe. The owner was an absolute legend. Our trip consisted of over 10 adults and we all slept comfortably. The house was spotless. All the amenities were prepared ahead of time. There was plenty of pre-cut firewood. There was even a small herb garden for when we were cooking! The house itself was very quiet. I don't think any of the bedrooms share common walls--there is a bathroom separating each sleeping space. As far as the location goes--it is right on the water with its own private dock. There aren't a ton of great restaurants around, so plan ahead to cook (there is a grocery store--Weis--very close nearby). We enjoyed the boat, the kayaks, horseback riding at the incredibly close Why-Not Riding Stable, and hiked a few close trails. On the one rainy day we had, we enjoyed some quality indoor projection screen digital entertainment on a beautiful speaker system. The owner was incredibly friendly, easy to contact and communicate with, and was more than eager to make sure we had everything we needed for our short stay. Many of us are already planning return trips to the house. The nearby Scranton airport made it pretty convenient not just for locals and NYC, but for all of us coming from all across the country.

Amazing property and host

We really enjoyed the stay at the castle. The house and property was very clean and large enough for 3 families. The host couldnt have been more accommodating, Norbert did everything he could think of to make our stay enjoyable. And Robbie is the man we helped me launch my boat and drove it to the property dock. The private dock is large enough for 3 boats and a jet ski. There is a huge outdoor deck with hot tub and covered entertainment/ cooking and dinning area. The private community was an added bonus and has an indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools. Thanks again for letting us use your house and being so hospitable.

Excellent stay! Highly recommend!

We booked Norbert's property to celebrate the New Years with your family of 10. The house looks magnificent from the outside, it is located right on the lake with the private dock, and overlooks the lake and the woods. The house was perfect for our group - very beautifully designed, spacious, comfortable, clean and inviting (Norbert even decorated the house for the New Years celebration!). Everything in the house is designed very tastefully - from furniture, floors, fireplace, kitchen to small and inviting details and finishes - it definitely felt like a beautiful and comfortable home, without feeling that it is somebody else's home like some rental properties do. The house is also very big - there was enough space for everybody to get together around a huge island in the kitchen, the dining room table or on a big and comfortable couch! The fireplace is just stunning - and Norbert provided enough wood for our whole stay so we didn't have to run to the gas station to buy our own. The kitchen is well equipped with everything that you can possibly need, and all appliances and very new and efficient. We did a lot of cooking since it was New Years celebration - and we found everything we needed to prepare and serve meals for our big family. Our parents enjoyed staying in the master suite - the en-suite bathroom is huge! The kids really liked the room with 2 queen sized beds - this room is so big, that it can easily fit 4+ people alone. The hot tub outside is also very nice, clean and big, it overlooks the lake and we observed deers in the woods while relaxing in the hot tub. We used the outside grill and the fire pit to prepare our meals - and everything worked perfectly. The house has everything you can possibly need - enough towels for all of us to shower, to use the hot tub or using the pool across the street, enough plates, glasses and cutlery to cook and serve dinners for a big group of people like ours was, etc. We also had perfect communication with Norbert, he always responded to our texts/calls, and he made sure that we had and liked everything. It was an awesome experience to stay in Norbert's house, and we are definitely planning to come back in the summer!

Luxury on the Lake!

Where do we begin! This home is everything you could want for a vacation and more! It started with the owners...they made sure we were well taken care of and went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed! The home is VERY clean and fits the needs for everyone! If you are looking for a beautiful house on the lake with all of the amenities....this is the place! The home is conveniently located on the lake with easy access to everything. If it was sitting on the hammock, by the water reading a book , fishing from the dock, boat or canoe, floating on a raft in the water, relaxing in the hot tub, playing basketball or roasting marshmallows at the two fire pits.....there was something for everyone! If you can't find something to do on the lake or at the house, there are many other activities close by, such as golf, white water rafting and zip lining, to name a few. We thank the owners for making our vacation very memorable and look forward to coming back!
