This was quite possibly the worst experience we have ever had with VRBO. Our non-profit organization hosts an annual event out of town at the end of February for 4 days. We book or reservations well in advance due to high demand at that time. We reserved and paid in full for this property and we did so because we had already stayed here before and it was an ideal place for our team due to location and space for a large group. On day of check-in I opened my email to get the property access information. I learned thru email, text, and phone calls that our rental had been double booked and the other group had already checked into the property. This left us with no where to stay hours away from our homes with no warning. Their resolution to the problem was to offer a different property more than an hour away from our event location. The ride share costs would have been in the hundreds if not thousands for multiple trips over a 4 day period. We explained this would not work and a different solution was needed. They then offered to reimburse the costs of another rental along with a 100% refund of the original rental booking and additional fees. There were no vacancies for a group of 10 adults with no notice. We were forced to pay a higher amount for hotel rooms. The refund was not 100% and we now have a lengthy and complicated claims process to go thru to receive reimbursement for the hotel costs. We had an absolutely awful experience and do not recommend.
Our nonprofit organization meets annually in February for a week long event. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The property is located very conveniently in a neighborhood near many amenities. It was clean and quiet which is hard to come by in downtown Houston. The beds were comfy The, water pressure was great, and all the creature comforts of home were included in our stay. The host was more than accommodating for our group and we hope to make this our annual home away from home while working our fundraiser each year. Thanks for a great stay!!
Initially our stock show dates changed and I text 2 different people multiple times to get a response then when they changed the reservation from the initial rent for 6 nights and paid $1720.92 and changed reservation to 3 nights and I noticed after our stay that I was only refunded $587.00 , leaving me paying $1133.92 for 3 nights, and had a charge of $180 for additional guests and there were only 3 of us . I messaged owners and have yet to receive a response to the payment issue. The day we arrived ( 2 hours after check in ) I had to text to get info about how to get in the house and even then wasnât informed that ALL of the streets around the houses were under construction and the roads were torn up , multiple workers with heavy equipment so could only enter through the alley way and garage in back . The beds were miserably uncomfortable , loud and and squeeked with the slightest movement. This is a townhome connected to other townhomes so a lot of noise from neighbors and 1 block off highway so ALOT of noise and on top of that all of the heavy equipment doing road repairs in front of house, so impossible to sleep. Definitely the worse and most unexplainably expensive VRBO we have ever stayed in.
Property was clean, very spacious and nicely furnished. It can accommodate a large family but it is not too big for a small group either. Location is great and easy to find. Close to Hobby airport and downtown.
