We do provide an extra 5% discount if you stay for one month. We do also have angled views of the gulf that are in the middle price range, you would still have some views of the gulf. Happiness is!! Hi Laura, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this review! We are so sorry for the inconvenience with the blinds in the living room while you were staying with us. The blinds had just broke before your arrival, and unfortunately we did have to wait for the company to come out to resolve the issue. We are so glad that you enjoyed your unit, as it has a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful sunsets! We have a pest control company that comes out to our property on a regular basis and sprays, but if there is ever a time when you see something in the unit, report it to the office and we will have them come out immediately to resolve the issue! Hi Lisa, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this review! We are glad that you were cool and comfortable during your stay. Your comfort is key while you are here as our guest. When checking in you mentioned that there was a little sand on the floor, and we immediately offered to send housekeeping back to clean it again for you and you unfortunately declined. Maintenance ended up replacing the flush valve on the toilet which resolved the issue. We were unaware that the shower wand was leaking. We will order a new one and replace it asap. As you know, bathroom fixtures, paint color, furniture, etc, are all personal preference, and we are sorry if the décor was not to your liking. We have pictures and virtual tours on our official website, and it is always best to look at the pictures and virtual tours before booking. We have contacted the owner about the blinds, and they are currently working towards getting the parts to fix them. We are glad that you could still enjoy the beautiful view and make it work! We have a great landscape company that is here on our property every week and they trim the palm trees as needed. When checking out, you mentioned that you had seen a few palmetto bugs in your unit after it had rained. You mentioned how you have lived in Florida for many years and understood that the amount of rain that we had unfortunately brings them in. We have not had that much rain in several months and within 24 hours we had between 6 to 8 inches of rain in total. That is a lot for the ground to absorb that fast at one time. Sand Cay has an open feel concept when exiting the units, and that is why our unit doors open to the beautiful decking outside. In the future, all our bottom floor units do have a washer and dryer in them, and the second and third floors do not due to a flood issue, and that is why we provide a free laundry facility for our guests located right by the pool and the office.
