My extended family of 11 had a wonderful four day stay in Big Bear at this home. It was just as described The property was very clean and spacious, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with spices, cooking oil, coffee, and coffee condiments. The outdoor deck was a wonderful place to sit outside and enjoy the trees and listen to the birds. The host was also very responsive and kind with a couple of questions I had. Overall, we had a great stay!
Great cabin and location!! We celebrated my son's and my mom's birthdays and had a fantastic time. The cabin was comfortable and was stocked with everything we needed to make it a successful family weekend getaway. The host, Annie, was excellent. She promptly answered any questions I had before, during, and after our stay.I'm looking forward to heading back soon for another family get together; I'm thinking winter time to enjoy the slopes, which are close by!
We would definitely consider staying here again. The space in and outside is great: bedrooms are separated enough to have space between families or kids, if needed, all 11 of us could sit at the same table to eat, hot tub and fire place made for a very relaxing ambience. We got stuck at check-in because details in the email were outdated, but once we got the owner on the phone, everything was easy. It's an easy drive to either mountain. The matresses and pillows were ok- not great.
The host was unbelievably reliable and accommodating! I went here with my family which consisted of babies, children and adults! Everything about the property was amazing and the house is very nice. We really enjoyed our stay! thanks Anne again for everything and making our trip wonderful!
Our stay was wonderful. Annie our Host was amazing! I cannot express how kind, responsive and cheerful this lady was. In times when good customer service is sometimes overlooked, this is not the case working with Annie. Thank you
The location was great and situated about 10 min away from 2 major grocery stores. Other fun things like restaurants, donuts, fun spots and unique shopping was close by. We enjoyed quiet hikes in the neighborhood which had practically no traffic. It was quiet and peaceful. The house offered a wonderful great room that was welcoming upon entry The kitchen was clean and stocked with cleaning supplies, the pantry for dishes was very well stocked and we also had the option of disposable supplies! Heck yeah, no dishes to wash! Thanks Annie!! The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, clean and stocked with supplies. The game room was great too! The patio area is gorgeous and serene. You wiil not be disappointed! No complaints on our part! Thank you Annie, You're the best!!
We had 3 generations at this house--spouse & myself, 3 adult children with spouses and 4 children, ages 3 months to 4 years. The house layout is wonderful for a large party, with multiple bedrooms w/ king mattresses (all comfy except for 1 room), and enough bathrooms to accomodate privacy for each couple. Presence of bathtubs was very helpful with bathing small children. The kids lived in the jacuzzi, and really enjoyed the video arcade games. Large living room served as a gathering spot and playroom for the littles. The host was attentive and responded immediately to all queries and was extremely pleasant. That said, this property has been well-loved and is now worn, and in need of some TLC. The deck and barbecue are wonderful but need attention from the cleaning crew.We had a great time but if yard landscaping, updated bathrooms and organized kitchens are important to you, this is not your place. Happily, the AC was efficient and kept us quite comfortable. Had there been window screens present in the bedrooms, we would have been able to enjoy the cooler evening temps and not run the AC. The location is superb if you are there for skiing.
Super responsive host, any small issue taken care of immediately.
We were 3 families traveling to ski / snowboard, 13 people total. Plenty of space to not feel on top of one another. TWO clothes dryers for our wet gear. We used the fireplace, grill, and hot tub. All in good working order.
Views of lake from the deck and one bedroom.
Would definitely stay here again.
We had an amazing stay in Big Bear! My husband and I got both sides of our families together for a fun weekend away. The house comfortably slept 13 adults and 1 baby and was spacious for hanging out during the day. Great location, super close to town, the lake and some great hiking :)
Annie was super responsive and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend to friends and canât wait to go back!!
We enjoyed our stay, however the house was not very clean. The spa had algae but the host had a spa guy out within an hour to clean it. There was only one bath towel per guest and no extra towels for spa use. There was also construction right next door with hammering going on from 7a-4pm frim Thursday- Saturday. The host comped us a extra night due to these issues. The house was comfortable and accommodated our family of 12.
It started with the entry the welcome mat was very old and dirty. The bathroom in the entrance had a door missing and had cob webs. The living room had two vlue chairs that were very dusty in the back. Could not put clothes in front bedroom because it was being used as storage. The garage was very dirty. The kitchen utensils were very old and the food would stick to the food. The side of refrigerator was an eyesore it was filled with cleaning materials. I read your email that you pay a living wage thats good. However you should check the work . Also the back deck chairs had no cushions. You have rules us as tenants should start imposing some rules also. The people I took will not pay me now because it not what I told them it would be like
I
Great communication and area but cabin needs attention
Check in was easy, but then we started noticing problems... there was a leak under the kitchen sink and slow draining water in one of the bathrooms; the floors were covered in dirt, one of the duvet covers was soiled, all of the dishes seemed to not be cleaned thoroughly; and supplies like trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc. were not stocked. All issues were immediately addressed! We were told there was a new cleaning crew that was not meeting expectations and changes would be made, a plumber fixed all issues and a cleaning crew came out the next day to address our concerns. We also informed the owners about the broken furniture on the patio.
The cabin is more "lived in" than the photos show, but it was perfect for our large family to each have king beds and individual bathrooms which we all appreciated. The kids also loved the game room and the dogs loved safely roaming the back yard.
If the cleaning issues are resolved and updates made to the broken furniture, I am confident this cabin will shine again! The owners truly care and did everything and more to address each and every concern.
Our friends and family stayed at this home for the weekend and we really liked it! The property has a view of the lake and the deck is fantastic with a fire pit and jacuzzi and plenty of chairs to enjoy the beautiful Big Bear scenery and fresh air. The house is well-appointed - we didnât need anything. And Annie and Josh weâre wonderful to work with- so accessible and gracious.
We highly recommend this house!
We got there, the lady that checked us in was friendly and nice.
The room was not cleaned and there were full of dust and little trash here and there in cabinets and kitchen. I opened the mirror in the restroom and someone ate a chocolates bars and left the trash in there charging for cleaning ans nit cleaning the place!!! Not cool at all!!! The refrigerator smelled like a dead mouse and was kind of digesting. The balcony was nice but not cleaned and the bench was broken and a pice of wood sticked out of it so we had to put blanket to sit on it.
The kitchen was nice but all the pots were old and not enough spoon or fork for 12 people. I talked to Annie and she agreed for early check in, that was nice of her. But in the mean time the maintenance came in to instal
The AC! And fix the curtain that I mentioned to Annie that is broken.
Some beds in some bedrooms were too old that the wood sounds wired with every move at night. There were signs all over the place about not having music or talk loud in the balcony with the fines of $500 and $1000 at anytime of the day! Why would I want to go somewhere I canât have my music on or talk at any time of the day!!! On my vacation!!!
In the description, they said there will be paper towel, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash in all the bathrooms!!! Not true I had to run to store for paper towels and paper toilet and shampoo and body wash. I spouse to stay there three nights and there were no supplies for three days!! As it should of be according to description. Be aware you should drive to drop your own trash if you are staying for couple nights!! Wired for what you pay!!!
For what I paid I had a very higher expectations and none was satisfied except the view of the cabins and beds that were super clean.
Overall I liked the cabin but mot the rules!! You will not be comfortable with all the signs around the house. The pictures on this cabin needs to be updated. There are old and the cabins doesnât look like the pictures at all except the views.
Home was well appointed with furnishings and necessities, accurate photos and short drive to town. Property owner was very responsive to questions. Very nice property for a family holiday gathering
Had a wonderful time at this property. Plenty of space for 11 people to hang out, play games, watch football, prepare and serve our meals. Even for the dogs to run around and enjoy. Annie was very quick to answer all questions and concerns.
Total comfort with 8 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 dogs!
We picked this property due to the 6 bedrooms and fenced in yard (we have 2 dogs). It proved to be a great decision since it allowed our entire family the space to sleep comfortably and not feel on top of each other. The property's living room and outside deck provided plenty of room for all to congregate and enjoy each others company. The home is tastefully furnished and decorated...first class! The game room is a great added touch. We will definitely reach out when we come back to Big Bear.
We appreciated the hilly location, views, sunsets. Outdoor terraces were used all the time. House is tidy, bed are good. Bathrooms are adequate, not great but perfectly usable. One did not appear tp have hot water, but we did not mind. Beyond that: We do not travel with rowdy teens but the mere singing of happy birthday and not too loud music triggered a visit from the local neighborhood code enforcement with threat of a $500 fine. (Rental-averse neighbors perhaps?) That and the strictly enforced curfew on the use of the hot tub (outta there by 10:00pm, made us feel like eleven year olds needing supervision, again, we are not "loud" people).
At the end of the day these irritants were minor and we had a good stay. The owners deserve praise for a very clean house, loads of kitchen equipment and an intelligent pricing policy.
I booked this cabin for a group of family friends. The age group of our kids spans from baby to teen. Every one of them had a great time! We joked that this cabin had so many hidden rooms (great for hide n seek). We were surprised by all the amenities and hang out spots. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap around deck while it snowed. And the spa was great after a long day of skiing. We loved the great room for our large dinner nights. Overall the cabin was clean, accommodating and perfect for large friend or family vacations together! These memories will last a lifetime! We will definitely book again.
My husband, Josh, and I are from the Chicago suburbs. Living in Los Angeles for the last 17 years, we love to travel, enjoy the outdoors, play games with friends, and enjoy time with our two small dogs, Bagel & Bella.
We love the location - minutes away from Bear Mountain! We enjoy skiing and tubing all winter and look forward to spending spring and summer on the lake.
We chose this home because of it's location, great family friendly hang-out space, killer deck with views of the lake and slopes, and proximity to town as well. This home has a cozy cabin feel with modern amenities.
