You'll be only a block from beautiful Rockaway Beach at this gorgeous, light-filled home on the Northern Oregon Coast! This dog-friendly escape features an enclosed yard with a grassy lawn out front, as well as a second-floor deck where you can enjoy the views from above. Inside, you'll find modern decor, a bright and open layout that will make you feel right at home, and flatscreen TVs and a wood-burning fireplace that provide additional comfort.



What's nearby:

There's an access point to the ocean beach one block away, at the end of North 8th Avenue, allowing you to explore the long stretch of sand in either direction. Downtown Rockaway Beach (half a mile south) is within easy walking distance, and is home to the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, numerous dining options, fun shops, and all the beach necessities. The town of Garibaldi is five miles south along Highway 101, offering more dining options and a marina.

The house itself and the views were absolutely amazing! And the location is great...peaceful yet super close to everything. However, if you are counting on the fenced yard for your fur babies...you will be disappointed. The fence has giant holes that will allow any size pet to escape. There were several areas of the home that could use improved cleaning (trash left behind, dog poop from previous guests in the yard, and filthy blinds and windows) and maintenance ("fenced" yard and broken rails on back deck). Beds and furnishings are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. WiFi worked great. Lots of fun games and books for those days when the weather just won't cooperate! This place would easily be 5 stars if it was properly cleaned and maintained!

Nice but needs some TLC

This is a very spacious home that is very nicely decorated. The location of the home is great. Just a block from the beach. There are about 10 large rocks you have to step on to get down to the actual beach. My 70 yr mom needed hand

Excellent beach hangout for families

This property really was an easy one-block walk to the beach, and a quick drive to downtown Rockaway Beach. The downstairs bedrooms easily had enough room for our six kids, and they loved that there are TVs with DVD players and streaming access in each bedroom. The house is clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the little amenities provided - coffee maker, crock pot, soap pods, lots of clean towels and blankets, and more. There were travel guides, lots of jigsaw puzzles, and DVDs available. My favorite thing about the house was sitting on the upper deck watching the waves and sunset and hearing the surf - not quite on the oceanfront but close enough. The rate was reasonable and we would totally stay here again.

Very clean house located footsteps from the ocean! Loved to have the small fenced in yard for the dog and my kids loved the bunk bed room. The kitchen was very well stocked both appliances and utensils and there was more than enough sitting room. There were plenty of towels, a garage filled with extra chairs and beach items and we were close to town! We will absolutely be back!

Perfect stay by the beach

The house was beautifully furnished, beds were comfy, kitchen was fully stocked, appreciated extra towels and beach towels!!! Beach is just steps away. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!!!

Location, location, location!

Super clean, well-appointed home. Love the easy access to the beach. Over gracious with towels, blankets, etc. Deck is wonderful! Two things to be aware of: little fenced in yard would be appropriate for large dogs but my little dog escaped because it is not completely enclosed, and they specify only two vehicles. The closest public parking is a bit of a distance and looked pretty sketchy. Otherwise, it was a fabulous stay!

Nice Beach Getaway

Had rain, snow, and finally sunshine on our spring break beach trip. Even on the stormy days, the house had plenty of space and good views of the heavy surf so it was still enjoyable. Liked the little yard for quick dog breaks and loved the easy access to the beach

Great Beach Trip!

The house is in a great location with a wonderful view! The house was updated and had all the amenities. The only item I wish was different was our arrival. The weather was wonderful however the house had been closed up and was very warm/stuffy and with the smell of the cleaning products not very pleasant. We immediately opened up the windows however it really didn’t cool down until late in the evening. We enjoyed our stay and hope to rent this home again.

Great home, not so great communication

The house was the perfect size for our group of 7 adults, but would also be great for families! The kitchen is well stocked, but bring your own beach gear. Communication with property owner was terrible, so hopefully you don’t have any needs before or while you’re here.
