Fern Nook is a playful one bedroom Snowater retreat made for mountain days and cozy nights. A pullout sofa offers additional sleeping space, and one dog is welcome with advance pet arrangements. Mt. Baker Ski Area is about a 30 minute drive.



The Space:

Welcome to Fern Nook, a warm and playful one bedroom retreat in Snowater, tucked into the forest near Mt. Baker. With skiing approximately 30 minutes away and indoor resort amenities waiting when you return, this is an easy home base for ski weekends, hiking trips, couples’ escapes and quiet mountain getaways.



Inside, the condo feels bright, cozy and a little unexpected. The living room pairs whimsical design with comfortable seating, a pullout sofa and a Frame TV, creating an inviting place to settle in after a day outside.



One of our favorite spaces is the dining nook, where large windows look out into the surrounding evergreens. Start the morning here with locally roasted coffee or slow down over dinner while the forest settles in around you.



The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped for meals at home with Henckels cookware, quality knives and utensils, bakeware, essential kitchen tools and a drip coffee maker.



And when the skis come off, the bar cart comes into play. Glassware and cocktail tools are ready for an après-ski drink, a quiet evening in or movie night back at the condo.

The full bathroom includes a tub/shower combination, fluffy towels, Public Goods shampoo, conditioner and body wash, plus room to unpack your everyday essentials.

Fern Nook is also dog friendly. One dog is welcome with advance arrangements, and we even provide a small pet goodie bag to help your four legged travel companion settle in.



Whether your day begins on the slopes, along a forest trail or with absolutely no agenda at all, Fern Nook gives you a comfortable place to come back to and plenty to enjoy without leaving Snowater.



The Neighborhood:

Fern Nook is located within the Snowater community in Glacier, Washington, surrounded by the forests and mountain scenery of the Mt. Baker area.



Mt. Baker Ski Area is approximately a 30 minute drive, making Snowater a convenient base for ski and snowboard weekends. Closer to home, guests can enjoy walking trails and access to the Nooksack River along with Snowater’s recreation facilities.



Glacier is a small mountain community, so dining and grocery options are limited compared with Bellingham. We recommend arriving with groceries and provisions, especially during quieter seasons.



Other Things to Note:

Fern Nook is designed especially well for two guests but can accommodate up to four using the living room pullout sofa. Pricing is based on two guests. Additional guests are $25 per person, per night, with sleeper-sofa bedding available by advance request.



One dog is welcome for $35 per night. To keep Fern Nook comfortable for everyone, dogs must be at least one year old, may not be left unattended and are not permitted on furniture or beds. Cats and other pets cannot be accommodated.



A pack-n-play and highchair are available by advance request.



All vehicles staying at Snowater must be registered. We will request the color, make, model and license plate number before arrival so your parking permit can be prepared.



Snowater has four EV chargers available for a $10 per charge fee. Use should be arranged with the Snowater office.



Fern Nook is in a mountain rainforest environment, so wildlife and insects are part of life here. Please keep food and garbage indoors and properly secured.



WiFi is provided, but this is a remote mountain area and high-speed internet and reliable cellular service should not be expected. We recommend downloading anything important before arriving.
