The Nook is superlative in every way, starting with the very friendly and welcoming host Anna. She truly cares about the guests and ensuring they have everything they need. The space itself is a unique combination of historic charm and modern luxury. The one bedroom with one and half baths is the perfect size for a solo traveler like myself and would be good for up to 4 people (there is a sleep sofa too). The Nook stands out in being perfectly clean and well-appointed. The furnishings and decor are modern cool and look like a layout from a designer website. The bed was extremely comfortable and to luxuriate in the beautifully-tiled shower is reason alone to travel to Richmond. The Church Hill location was fun and very convenient. The neighborhood is vibrant, safe and full of shops, restaurants and parks within walking distance. My dog traveled with me and I appreciated having the small fenced yard for him. I can’t speak highly enough of the Nook and hope to stay there whenever I travel to Richmond.

With two large Smart TVs and a dedicated bistro table, it’s perfectly set up for digital nomads or business travelers. You have the tech you need for entertainment or meetings, paired with the comfort of a fully stocked kitchen so you don't have to eat out for every meal.

The inclusion of a high-quality, comfortable pull-out sofa means that even though it’s a 1-bedroom, it can comfortably accommodate a small family or a group of friends without anyone feeling like they are "roughing it" on a typical thin mattress.

6. Walkability to "Best-of" Lists
You are within walking distance of some of the best food in the country (like Sub Rosa and The Roosevelt) and the most famous views in Virginia (Libby Hill). You can park your car and essentially forget about it until you leave.
