This was a great place to stay the neighborhood was safe and fun. Walking to the beach is a little ways but you can always drive closer as well. We enjoyed walking and shopping the stores or grabbing food on the way. City tacos is delicious also coffee shop with the donuts was terrific and close by for morning coffee. We had a great stay.

This is a cute little place. It is a great location. We were down for my daughter's SDSU graduation and the drive was easy. Plenty of places to shop and eat within walking distance. Parking was a little tough as it is street parking. One afternoon we parked at Trader Joe's but was able to move the car later. I would stay here again.

Nice neighborhood

The apartment/bungalow was clean and well maintained, Previous posts have made complaints of light coming into master bedroom and despite double window coverings it does but is Tolerable. A bit stuffy if you don’t have fans & air conditioning on but overall a very nice place in a fun neighborhood near bars, restaurants, beach and nightlife. I would recommend this place.

Renter Beware

We were disappointed that there was no central air conditioning and that this property was attached housing. No prior notification was given that there was only street parking until after all money was paid. The pots and pans were filthy and so were the shelves in the master bedroom closet. The back walk way was not set up to be accommadating...looked like a junk yard. There was a yapping dog next door that woke us at 3 a.m. and a loud party on the weekend. The redeeming factor was that it was within walking distance of shops, restaurants and groceries. ( unless you were walking challanged).

We wish you had let us know if there were any issues, as they would have gladly provided assistance - Some of our guests have left beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach items that we have kept for our guests to use - As indicated on the map and description, Pacific Beach is a densely populated urban beach area and can be loud at times. Family Vacation Nightmare

The communication with the management company was terrible from the start. Expect a two week wait for a response. The oven had a gas leak causing my family to be evacuated. The owner asked me to pay and handle the repairs. He’ll reimburse me back later. The management company didn’t help with anything. They left us stranded, thank God for VRBO. The house was not clean. Oven had a gas leak. Bathroom had dried urine throughout it. The master bedding had bodily fluids all over it. The pull out bed was broken. No clean towels or bedding. Vacation nightmare! Not what it seems.

Nicole, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following: From the owner: "Nicole thank you for staying with us! We are so sorry that your stay didn't meet your expectations and that our communication didn't meet your standards. Since we were out of town during your stay, we suggested that you contact a repair company to have them fix the issue. When we went to the property the next day to check the oven, we came to find that there was nothing wrong with it and that was no gas leak. You were unaware of how to operate the stove correctly, so it was merely a user error which is normal and can happen from time to time! Also, when we returned that day, the apartment was clean. There were clean linens on the beds, extra linens in the hallway cabinet, and plenty of clean towels. We checked the bed and found it to fold out properly too. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests."

Fine apartment in PB

This was a good place to stay in Pacific Beach. You can’t really beat the location! A 10 min walk to the beach or bay and a few steps away from places to eat. The apartment was clean and had just enough. Nothing glamorous, but that wasn’t what I was looking for!

Great place for the price. Definitely dated, but over all a nice place.

Never had an issue finding parking. Unit only has A/C in the bedrooms. But a great cross breeze cooled the remainder of the condo. Awesome access to PB. We walked to the shopping center, Starbucks, and a cool doughnut bar. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at this property during our vacation in San Diego. We were fortunate with street parking, but this could be an issue to consider. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful time.

Perfect Pacific Beach location

We liked the location of this apartment, less than a mile to the beach and a block from a Trader Joe's--great for grabbing supplies. This place is clean, and we were happy to have ac units in the bedrooms. The kitchen was nice, and there were some supplies left from other renters that really came in handy. It's right next to 3 other units and we worried there'd be noise in the evening because we could hear the neighbor's shower but it was fine. The street is pretty quiet and there was mention of difficult parking but we had no trouble at all. I always saw spaces available. We love PB and would rent here again! We've rented closer to the beach for the same price but not always gotten a clean house. This place was great.

Family Vacation Stay

It was a great stay for a weekend getaway! The house was clean and a comfortable environment to unwind at the end of every days activities. Was worried at first about a few small patch jobs that revealed themselves within the first hour of arriving but I just text the contact details provided and no worries after that! It saved our family from having to book two hotel rooms which meant more pocket money to play with so it was a win, win! Would definitely do it again!

Great family vacation spot

When we arrived at check in time the house had not yet been cleaned from the previous renters. My husband called the contact person for the property and he had the cleaners at the house within 5 minutes. The whole cleaning process was quick and the house was clean. There’s air conditioning units only in the two bedrooms. The rooms cool down quickly once it’s on. The living area and kitchen don’t have any air and it gets really hot and stuffy. Opening the doors and putting on the fans help, but it was still warm inside. The location is great! We walked to the beach, dinner and ice cream every night. The house has beach toys and a boogey board which the kids loved. Overall, we really liked the place and would stay there again.

Small PB apt - central location

Apt is a good location. 8 block walk to the beach. Outside Flood lights shine bright into the master bedroom all night - bring a spa mask so you can sleep! Need more glassware and updated pots and pans and baking dishes if you are planning to eat in.

Fantastic Location, a short walk from the beach, plenty of food and nightlife around

Two other friend-couples joined my girlfriend and I for an epic wedding weekend in this beautiful niche of California. The accommodations were quite satisfactory, with an AC unit, two great bedrooms and a sizable and comfy pullout couch. We appreciated the TV for music listening and great WiFi. Mostly, the location was great: we had a blast walking to eat delicious tacos, checking out a vibrant night life, and-- most of all-- walking to the beach. I would stay there again in a hearbeat,

Great location, roomy apartment (for the area), and everything you need!

Going into renting an apartment for a week's stay in San Diego, you know what to expect. It's not a hotel with fancy amenities or turndown service. But, for the price and location, this is the perfect place. The (sparse) negatives: In Pacific Beach, you know that you're going to get some nightlife noise, so be prepared to be woken up by the frat boys drinking at 2AM on a Tuesday. It's a college-age town after all. Several bars are right around the corner, which is actually a plus for some people. The unit was a little dirty as well, but nothing out of the ordinary. Just shows signs of being used and previous guests leaving their marks via stains, etc. The positives: Location is #1. We walked to Pacific beach easily, and if you're up for a longer walk, Mission Beach is in the vicinity as well. Also, there are no shortage of drinking and eating options. The unit itself had all the amenities you'd want out of renting a vacation apartment: full kitchen, pullout sofa for the extra people, high-speed internet and tv, and a friendly watermelon that greeted us as we visited. 2 bedrooms is nice too, for the area. It's a perfect spot to crash while you're exploring San Diego. Overall, good experience for the price, and I'd stay again!

Fantastic location & great service!

My favorite part about this apartment is how close it is to the beach, restaurants, and bars. Most of our activities were around Pacific Beach, La Jolla, North Park, and Downtown; none of which were more than a 15min drive away. The electric scooters around the apartment were also one of the highlights of the trip b/c of how easy they were to use and to get to/from the beach. I really appreciated that the host provided many amenities that made the stay more enjoyable like multiple fans, extra beach towels, sunscreen, iron+ironing board, and kitchen utensils. The A/C unit in each bedroom was also clutch because it was extremely hot & humid during our stay. Mike also provided great customer service when our power went out in the unit. He was responsive and provided easy instructions on how to fix the issue over the phone.

Kinda an old place but for the most part clean and comfy. Very close to everything great location!

We really enjoyed this place. Walking distance from everything and so close to the beach! Very comfortable! The add said parking would be hard but really wasn’t we had no trouble. Had everything we needed. I’d stay here again for sure! The locals were so awesome and friendly!!
