Pure Malarkey- Baby steps to the Beach!

3 updated bedrooms— A master bedroom with a cozy King bed, ensuite bath. Second bedroom is steps away from a lower bath, and offers bright windows surrounding a queen bed. Upstairs is a loft setting with it`s own updated bath, a tv and lounge pads in addition to two built in full beds & two twin beds. Our cottage is excellent for a few families or a group of close friends. Bring your littles!

The bedrooms are accompanied by three bathrooms, one full with a shower/soaking tub, and two with a showers, ensuring any morning traffic jams are kept to an absolute minimum.

A kitchen with room for a few chefs, good counter space and it`s well stocked with essential utensils/kitchenware for guests who like to do their own cooking. Coffee makers are drip & Nespresso for the morning caffeine folks. Gas Weber grill sits on the patio for grilling.

The two-story great room itself is comfortably appointed with sectional couch and chairs, allowing your whole group to watch a movie on the large flat screen TV in the evening when winding down, or just enjoy some quiet time by the fireplace.

Step into the charm of Pure Malarkey via two unique verandas (1) offering a lake view and great people watching and (2) alfresco dining while family plays yard games. A refreshing ceiling fan ensures comfort during warm summer afternoons, creating an ideal spot for leisurely reading before burying your feet in the sandy beach.

During the summer, the nearby lake beach beckons, just a short stroll away. Take a refreshing dip to escape the heat, then return to the house to towel off and indulge in a leisurely afternoon nap.

Guests can also revel in resort amenities, including pool and hot tub w/showers a bistro diner and rental boat slips. Outdoor facilities include pool, multiple vast green spaces for sports/games, pickleball, basketball, trails, marina for boating and a playground for the littles. For the more adventurous, the cottage is conveniently located just a ten-minute drive from the Canadian border, providing an exciting opportunity for exploration.

We know that booking a rental property home for your vacation can be unfamiliar territory for some, while others know their way around it. Because we know this, we ensure that each of our properties are up to high quality standards.

From the earliest questions about our cottages through checking out,
we will be prompt in communications and thorough with details to make your stay pleasurable. Please note that the resort pool, gift shop and restaurant are open U.S. Memorial Day through Labor Day.

MANAGED: This well-managed property needs good behavior and adherence to instructions, rules, terms, and conditions, and may require online registration and electronic signature before final booking, or you may cancel before proceeding at that time.

This rental is privately owned and the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premise. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

🚭 Smoking, Pets & Noise

No smoking or vaping inside the home.
Pets: [Allowed] — if allowed, please clean up after them and keep off furniture (includes veranda). Wet animals need to dry on the Veranda.
Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM (be mindful of neighbors and the lakefront setting).

🔥 Safety & Property Care

Please no fires outside of designated fire pits or BBQ areas.
Always supervise children near the waterfront and dock.
Turn off lights, AC/heat, and appliances when leaving.
No shoes or flops inside — help keep the home clean.
Report any damages or issues immediately so we can address them quickly.

🛶 Lake & Outdoor Use

Use life jackets and follow local water safety rules.
No glass containers near the dock or shoreline.
Return kayaks, paddles, and outdoor gear to their storage spots after use.

🧹 Before You Go

Wash dishes or start the dishwasher.
Place used towels in the bathroom or laundry area.
Take out trash and recycling to the designated bins.
Leave the home tidy and as you found it — thank you!
