Regarding the air conditioning: in 100° Texas weather, our thermostats have a floor limit of 72°F to protect the HVAC compressors from freezing up and causing a total outage (the listing include this info). The system follows an energy-saving schedule, but placing the thermostat on "permanent hold" keeps it at your target temperature. We would have happily walked you through that or adjusted it remotely had we known. As for the ceiling fans, they are fully functional, but we will inspect the switches and chains to ensure they are clear and easy for future guests to adjust. We take cleanliness and pest management very seriously. The property receives regular professional pest control treatments and a detailed cleaning before every check-in. We will immediately have our cleaning team and pest service re-inspect the entire home to address any potential issues. Finally, thank you for bringing the writing under the bench cushion to our attention. That was an oversight from previous custom decor, and we have already had it removed so it does not cause discomfort for future guests.
