Dune Dancer est situé dans la communauté privée et fermée d'Old Florida Village, et est idéalement situé entre Blue Mountain Beach et Dune Allen Beach, une balade à vélo facile pour explorer ces communautés de plage voisines, ou s'aventurer un peu plus à l'est jusqu'à Grayton Beach. Great location and neighborhood. Clean and comfortable. I would mention that glassware is limited, and there were a couple things missing, like coffee filters, hairdryers and extra trash bags, that I usually expect to find in vacation rentals. Amazing sunrise and sunsets, would stay again!

Perfect beach front location!

This house is nestled in a gated community within walking distance to shops and wonderful restaurants! The common areas were very large and was plenty of space for 2 families and grandma- 13 people! The private beach was a plus!

Perfect family vacation

Location is amazing! Beach is clean and house was just perfect for our family beach trip with 11 people. The view from the top room is unbeatable. We loved it and will definitely book again. We walked to dinner two nights and coffee in the mornings. Everyone was very friendly in the areas as well.

Family Trip to Sunrise Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our week stay with the whole family - grandparenents and 2 families of with 5 children. First ever. We've stayed several places in Sunrise Beach. This property has a premium view and the house is nice, but it doesn't have as many amenities as others. Even little things like not having a pantry - it looks like there is one, but it was locked. So it was hard to organize all the food products and requird cluttering the cabinet tops.Our biggest disappointment were the bedrooms on the bottom floor.That's where we planned to have the kids stay. But it was not a welcoming space. It seemed dirty and we didn't consider mattresses on the floor and sheets that didn't fit the mattresses as a good place to stay. While there, we were repeatedly called downstairs to kill roaches. And since it was directly connected to the garage, it smelled the garage -just not healthy air. That said, with a bit of work, those rooms could work. It just needs updating to have real walls and ceilings. There was no "Maybe" option on the recommendation. If there was, I would have chosen it. For a smaller family that doesn't have to use that bottom floor, it would be great. Dune Allen Realty's service and responsiveness was superb. I would definitely recommend you guys.

Thanksgiving family trip

This was the perfect trip in every way. Beautiful gated neighborhood, large kitchen family area convenient for cooking, right on the beach! It was clean when we arrived. The number of bathrooms was appropriate for all. The beach was immaculate and patrolled. It was convenient to restaurants and a Publix. Our stay was all you could ask for.

We had plenty of room for everyone to sleep and we were walkable to several restaurants and shops. Our only complaints were the wifi was very spotty and we had to keep resetting the router to get service several times a day. Some of the blinds were broken, and the dryer does not turn off. It just keeps drying until you go turn it off yourself. other than that, it was a great stay and the management company was very responsive and helpful.

Numerous issues- termites, roaches, broken blinds, musty smells, etc. HOWEVER, Dune Allen was extremely helpful in locating us another home within the same neighborhood and saved our family vacation😎

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in the best location. On the beach, in walkable distance to shopping and restaurants, grilling and chillin available on the patio. A few issues we had at the location was that the TV's in most of the bedrooms were not functioning when we got there, but we emailed and someone came out next day to replace. Most of the blinds on the windows in the place were missing the rods to open and close them, not a major issue but what's to changing a blind? About mid week the wifi router kept giving a message that the password was wrong so I emailed the renting company and was basically accused of "one of our guests must have changed it", NOT one person in our group was capable of that but what got me is, WHY ACCUSE US? A simple "my appologies, we'll send someone out to check it", would have been all we needed to hear. When you pay top dollar for a house in rent, you expect to have everything work and if not, at least a little customer service to go with the amount we paid. We were also told that our umbrellas are not allowed on the beach and that we would have to use their HIGH RENT umbrellas. Another disappointment after paying a prime amount on the unit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but just know whoever owns this house, kinda don't care what works and what don't.

Best neighborhood but the house needs some love

We were one of the first people to be able to rent in May after the shut down so I’m taking that into consideration that the house had been standing empty for a few months. When we arrived the house was very musty and the AC didn’t work. The property management sent out someone quickly and they said that they would need to replace the unit for the upstairs but they were able to fix the downstairs ac and that helped with the mustiness in the kitchen area. The AC for upstairs was never fixed while we were there, but the property management company installed window units and it kept the master and upstairs bedroom comfortable. The master has huge windows that are not covered and the few blinds they do have in the master have been damaged and need to be replaced. I say this just so if you are planning on sleeping in I would bring an eye mask because it isn’t happening in this room! My main complaint from our stay is that ALL the beds and bedding are so uncomfortable! I had to go into Destin to buy a mattress pad and sheets just so I wasn’t rolling around all night because my shoulder kept going numb. It looks like the master bathroom and kitchen have been updated but the rest of the bathrooms have not been touched since the early 90s when the house was built. We didn’t have anyone staying downstairs in the bunk room, but I went down there to check it out and it is very musty and damp. It does have a nice bathroom downstairs and a fridge and it’s a pretty big space though. Overall this is probably one of the most uncomfortable houses I have stayed at in this neighborhood. We have been coming to this neighborhood for 18 years and have rented the majority of the houses so I feel like I have a good idea of what to expect while renting here. Being beach front was very nice and We still had a good time despite some of the downfalls of the house. To make this property really shine (assuming ac is fixed) I would get all new beds and bedding, clear out the kitchen and get new pots and pans, pare down on the outdated decor and seat coverings, replace the fabric chair in the living room, and update the bathtub fixtures in the other bedrooms. I promise I’m not trying to be a negative Nancy but this is just a beautiful property and by just fixing these few things it would make it even better!

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your stay was anything less than perfect. Unfortunately the upstairs AC unit did stop working during your stay. The owner had to order a new unit which was installed the following week. However, we did bring over portable units for the 3 bedrooms. In addition, the master bedroom blinds are being replaced. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. In regards to the beds and bedding, this is the first complaint we have heard. The beds are all in good condition and we provide top quality linen. We appreciate all your suggestions and we will share it with the owner. Despite the above, we are glad you enjoyed your stay and the beach front location and we hope to welcome you back again soon!

Great time!

We just finished a wonderful week-long stay at Dune Dancer. We had no trouble with wifi, plenty of dishes and towels, and we parked one car in the garage and one car and two BIG trucks in the driveway. We thought the beds were comfortable and the furnishings nice. Loved the 30 second walk to the beach! There were 12 of us and the accommodations were perfect! We will stay at Dune Dancer again!

Excellent beach front location. Needs major updates.

Gorgeous house. Perfect location directly on beach with beautiful views from huge master bedroom upstairs. Needs updating. Beds are very uncomfortable- thin mattresses, one pillow each to sleep on and they were paper thin. Linens were cheap and outdated. Blinds easily fell off their mounts in kitchen because one mount was broken. Broken window near front door, some light fixtures/ceiling fans were chipped or broken, one garage door wouldn't open so we could only park one vehicle in garage and THE WI-FI SIGNAL WAS SO WEAK NOONE COULD GET ON INTERNET MOST OF THE TIME. Such a great house- just needs updates and a complete makeover on mattresses, pillows, bedding, and of course the wi-fi. Gas was left on 2 eyes of the stove upon our arrival. We had to air house out. Some door locks were tricky and there was a shortage of bath towels.

Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, as we strive to improve with each and every stay. “Dune Dancer" is a favorite of generations of guests to Santa Rosa beach! We greatly appreciate your comments about the mattresses and bedding that need to be updated. We will share your feedback with the owner and suggest an update. Regarding the work order items- broken blind, garage door, broken window and chipped light fixtures, we will get them taken care of. If we had been made aware of them during your stay, we would have fixed it ASAP. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Unfortunately, when the housekeeper was cleaning the stove that day, they did move the gas knob to the on position and our inspector did find that upon your arrival. We provide 5 bath towels per bath and we are happy to supply more to guests upon request. The wifi signals do go in and out here at the beach, and we will look into getting a wireless router booster for the house. Rest assured, as I said above, the proper attention will be paid to your concerns. We hope that you will accept our apology and that you will trust our services in the future.

Can not beat the view!

Pros: Fabulous view/ closeness to beach / The main floor - kitchen, dining and living room were great - with the view of the ocean is fantastic Cons: TECHNICALLY sleeps 14, but not comfortably in my opinion. A queen sleeper IN the master bedroom? I was on a girls beach trip, so sex was not an issue, but ... The 2 bedrooms "off the garage" is only for small children or teenagers - it's a little weird being off an unfinished garage (which you can't park cars in) Also futon upstairs is technically to sleep 2 of the 14 ... Parking - only parking for 3 SMALL cars Kitchen is only modestly equipped - can't imagine cooking for 14 - it was hard for 10 Owner has padlocked kitchen pantry - not acceptable - we had food stuffed in every cupboard available. This is minor, but they had a loose leaf notebook entitled "Property Inventory" with photos of everything, including the utensils in the kitchen drawers and the plastic hangers in the closets. Seriously?? I realize SOME vacationers will steal things, but I did not appreciate being treated like a criminal ... Finally, I thought the furnishings, other than the main floor were cheaply done. We were at Dune Dancer on an off-week, so we weren't paying top rates, but ... GREAT VIEW THOUGH!!

Thank you for your review, and you are right, the view is great. We apologize for the Inventory notebook - it was not intended for the notebook to be left. The housekeepers refer to the inventory notebook, which includes photos, in order to make sure furnishings and decorative items (which sometimes get moved around by the guests) are properly placed within the vacation property. Very rarely, if ever, have vacationers taken any items from a home we manage and the inventory notebook was never meant to suggest otherwise, so we are sincerely sorry if you found it demeaning in any way. Other than that, we are happy you enjoyed the house. It's a great place and very popular among our guests.
