LOCATION and amenities has so much to offer! Quiet 1200' in a country-like area of Spokane Valley with 18 food establishments & shopping within a mile or less walk from this spacious and private lower level, 2 bedroom separate living quarters in a recently renovated home. Medical facilities & The Valley Mall is just 1.5 miles away & easy on/off I-90 access is just 1 mile to take you to downtown or Coeur d'Alene. 11 steps in an enclosed private entrance.
THE REAL REAL DEAL: Hosts provide coffee assortment, cocoa, teas & creamers/sweeteners, instant oatmeal. Hosts may also provide an optional, exceptional, experience providing a catered meal available by reservation and based on availability by rsvp for an additional fee. Please inquire if interested. (Dietary restrictions not recommended). *Each booking includes a complimentary gourmet ice cream waiting for you in the freezer, complete with ice cream scoop attached to freezer door for your use.
The bedrooms feature comfy beds! # 1 ~ Queen bed (now equipped with a television) and #2 ~ King bed (a blow-up mattress now available for up to 6 guests upon approval)
Each beautifully decorated room offers 2 side tables with lamps, USB plugins, chair, rug, bathrobes & slippers, extra blanket, dresser, hangers, and luggage rack. Large, screened egress windows also open for fresh air if desired.
The bathroom is equipped with a spacious shower, heated & lighted mirror, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, small toiletries, towels, makeup mirror & a hair dryer for added convenience.
Every room has convenient wall heaters, and the living space has a lavish wood burning fireplace insert complete with a ready-built fire and a bit of extra firewood to enjoy one long fire or two shorter fires during your stay. Additional firewood may be purchased.
A/C is not needed in this lower unit but fans are provided if preferred.
A separate office space offers WiFi and a work desk with USB & multi port phone chargers in case you forgot yours. This extra (non-conforming) room also has all the extra linens, blankets, ironing board, fans, cleaning supplies, games, and enough floor space for extra guests to use the provided blowup mattress if needed (upon prior arrangement).
Three areas finish the very large, open floor plan: Cozy couches & throws to watch Netflix on the 65” Roku TV with ****popcorn and candy**** provided; Wing chairs and books in front of the fire; and, A large dining space with kitchenette ~ generously stocked with full sized fridge/freezer*, spices, oil, electric skillet, toaster oven/air fryer, micro, Keurig, blender, tea kettle, toaster, coffee mugs, wine & cocktail glasses, dishes, utensils, bowls, etc.
Safety in mind: Security camera monitors outside entrance and parking area 24/7 CO2/Smoke detectors including WiFi to alert owners are installed in home. WiFi Water leak alarms & alerts in water prone areas such as bathroom, water main, under sinks. Pest devices (blue light plugins around home) deter bugs year round.
The property is tastefully renovated summer 2025 and is the lower level with private entrance through a separate, enclosed stairwell. Entry is with keyless entry, access code provide 24 hours prior to arrival.
PARKING: Free off-street parking for two vehicles. Additional parking available.
EVENTS: Gatherings may be arranged with prior approval ONLY and ARE SUBJECT to additional fee. This is a larger space that can accommodate up to 10 people at the table. Extra tables and folding chairs are available for use. NO "PARTIES" NO CRAFT PARTIES. Please inquire before booking.
Please Note our full disclosure: Owners occupy the upstairs, so please expect to hear soft noises from the upper level time to time. Bedroom #1 with the Queen bed is the quietest of the rooms. Bedroom #2 King bed is below the owner's, so soft steps will be heard periodically. The water main is also located in the corner closet so draining water could be heard but kept close to non-existant during quiet hours. Owners may entertain guests during normal hours upstairs and should not deter your quiet time. Any such plans will be disclosed to guest.
Due to liability as well as sleep patterns with having commercial driving career, sharing the home with children is not ideal so at this time we do not permit anyone under the ages of 18 years however accommodation is a possibility in some cases permitting our schedule and age.

We were not able to stay at this VRBO, but the owners were so friendly and so helpful as we had to cancel our trip. We were not able to travel due to extreme weather conditions-roads were closed and Amtrak was not running. We do plan on staying once the weather is nice enough for travel

Shari was welcoming and the unit was clean and cozy. More small touches than most. For example, a bowl of chocolates and ice cream in the freezer. Great place to relax after days visiting my Mom in nearby assisted living

Every aspect of this stay went above & beyond our expectations. From the perfect personal touch of the decor to ensuring every item that may be needed during our stay was available.Our unique stay requirements were happily adapted to ensure the stay suited our needs and that speaks volumes to the character of the hosts. Very close to tons of shopping & all kinds of restaurants as well as medical facilities. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this to anyone needing a place.

The unit was recently renovated. Everything was new and beautiful. Lots of room and comfortable. Close to everything in Spokane Valley. About 20 minutes from the airport. Owners were very attentive. (They live upstairs). Lots of snacks, coffee, fruit, extra toiletries (if needed). They checked in with us from time to time to make sure there wasn’t anything we needed. When it snowed, they shoveled around my car and had a snow brush available to me. Nice big screen TV made watching the Steeler game very enjoyable. Absolutely one of the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at. Ice-cream in the freezer was a nice touch! They even have a working fire place. We would definitely stay here again.

We grew up in the Spokane area our entire lives and have enjoyed the hiking, kayaking, and skiing the area provides. We have backgrounds in commercial driving with an estimated 3+ million miles under our belts professionally just with our CDLs alone. Our other professional driving careers include Dan’s need for speed which got him season championship at Raceway Park in ‘86. Shari’s glad she met Dan after her time in law enforcement patrol so that she didn’t have any conflicts with him in that sense. Dan is super handy especially around old cars while Shari loves to cook and bake. We entertain frequently because of that and we have been told we would make good BnB hosts. We recently renovated to sell this year but decided to give the hospitality business a go before we do. We love people and hope you choose to stay with us. We occupy the upper level.

Dan grew up country while I have had a multitude of country, small town and city. Our home is very quiet on a large lot for in town living and has all the conveniences of shopping & dining we need within 3 min.

Our quiet location yet great proximity to everything is what I love most and how we renovated and designed the lower level to be so comfortable! We are on 1.4 acres in a peaceful, country-like neighborhood but two blocks away are the coffee stand (you won’t need to) Kohl’s… and within a mile or less are major grocery stores, 18 restaurants, so much more.
