Twin Dolphin 9: Dog-friendly beach home just up from the water!

Twin Dolphin is the perfect size for those looking for charming accommodations while still delivering on lots of vacation fun! This comfortable three-bedroom ocean-side home comes with charming decor and furnishings in a pleasing living room/dining/kitchen combination area. Relax and watch some shows on one of two TVs or watch a movie with two available VCRs and two DVD players. The three bedrooms will be perfect for taking a quick rest to recharge your batteries.

In addition to the TVs, plenty of board games and books will help provide lots of indoor fun for the kids. And since Twin Dolphin is just four lots up from the beach, ocean fun is never far away. The location of this home is on a quiet street, perfect for the kids to run around and play while the adults relax on the sundeck with built-in seating. The large screened porch with a swing and picnic table will be a great place to enjoy an evening meal while you wait for a beautiful sunset. Twin Dolphin also offers a lockable storage room with a washer/dryer and has a new outdoor shower. You'll also enjoy being close to the OBR Pool and Avon Pier. Pleasant Stay at Twin Dolphin

We loved the screened in spacious porch and porch swing. Kitchen was well stocked and roomy. Very close to the beach, fresh seafood shop. Attractively decorated. Great stay !

Spacious bungalow for 6. Great living room dining kitchen space, great beds, nice screened porch only about 3 houses to the beach access. Would definitely rebook. Conveniently located for all things in Avon.

Hatteras Vacation

We enjoyed our vacation week at the Twin Dolphin. The house was OK - good location, well equipped. The screened in Porch was nice. It could use some updates on the furniture and the outside deck needs to be replaced. The hose was very clean when we arrived & it was available early for check-in.

We had a great time at Rancho Relaxo! The accommodations were perfect for our family. The condo was well kept and very clean. I loved having the deck to sit on each night as I listened to the waves crashing! I was glad there was a laundry facility as I washed up the towels after the beach and also some clothes so I didn`t have to do laundry when I returned home. The beach was a simple walk down the boarded path and the beach was rarely crowded. We enjoyed having such a great space to stay, cook, relax and enjoy life for a week! We had a great time at Dolphin Watch. The best part - the beach wasn`t crowed and only a two minute walk to the beach. We set up early and could walk back to the house for lunch, restroom, etc. For 20+ years, we have our family vacation at OBX. We normally stay right on the sound but directly on the beach was convenient, no need to drive the truck to get there or on it. The house doesn`t mention a large dog create, baby gate, play pin, play station, hair dryers, a couple of beach chairs, sand toys and a closet full of games. All of which we packed. Love the banks ,dissapointed in the house.

The house indide needed wiped down,or painted. Dog oder, sand everywhere, dog hair behind doors from where it hadn't been vacuumed. WI dows inside were filthy. Kit hen ta le wobbly, deck chairs broke,or splintering.

Beautiful location

The house is dated, but the location is fantastic, being only a very short walk from the beach and minutes from any needed amenities. The check-in process is a little painful, with such a late check-in and then they let you know it is available early, however it is inconvenient when you are planning your trip to arrive for your scheduled check in. Once you get past the automated attendant and get to a real person, the property management team is fantastic. After a city wide power outage, the AC to the house didn’t kick back in. Once I got a live person, they had the issue resolved within hours. Overall, a beautiful location and the house had everything you need to have an amazing time at the beach.

Pro: close to the beach and convenient to stores and restaurants. Property manager was very responsive. Con: The property is not an ocean view as it states, it is 5 houses from the beach with large dunes blocking any potential view. The views are either of the street or the neighbors. Ocean view is not critical to me, but don’t false advertise. The property desperately needs maintenance and updating and a very deep cleaning. Some of the steps leading up to the property are uneven and unstable. The carpeting needs to be replaced. The floors were so dirty that our feet were black from walking on them. The bathroom floors next to the tub were dirty and had hair on it and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. The bedding in the master had dog fur on it. We have dogs and chose this property in part because of the ability to bring them, but they don’t sleep in our bed and I expect not to find someone else’s dog fur in the bed I’ll be sleeping in. The property has good potential but I wouldn’t book again and wouldn’t recommend until it’s cleaned and maintained.

House Was Fine, Communication/Customer Service with Vacasa was a nightmare

Once you get past seeing the subfloor in nearly every room, the house is good. It had all basic necessities. There were large brown stains on the living room carpet that looked old. The house was not cleaned prior to our arrival though. So I am unsure how old the stains were. We called at 5:50 because we knew our house was not ready -with check-in being at 6:00, ten minutes later. The first person I spoke to just told me the house was not ready repeatedly and then sat in silence. The second personI spoke to said the house was not ready and they did not have an estimated time. She also informed they do not text or call when the house is ready after the local office closes at six. She informed we should go out to eat and then sit in the driveway and wait until the house is cleaned. We waited until 8pm to enter the house, which was never cleaned. We entered because we assumed the house had been forgotten about. Calls to Vacasa went unanswered- sat on hold for over thirty minutes. We had traveled for 10.5 hours, sat in the driveway for two, and had two dogs with us. After Vacasa “closes” at 6pm there is no contact with anyone. All calls are routed to a call center and it is impossible to get in touch with anyone. I was texted regarding the cleanliness of the house at 8:00, when we were entering the uncleaned house. Via that text line I was able to communicate our house was uncleaned and we had no sheets. A local manager called me that night AT 11:06 PM, almost midnight, leaving a message saying housekeeping would call me tomorrow. The next day, housekeeping offered a refund of my cleaning fees, which ended up being $69. Yes that”s right- $69. Being unable to get in touch with anyone and feeling stranded after a ten hour trip, entering a filthy house at nightfall makes you feel a certain way.

We had a great time at Rancho Relaxo! The accommodations were perfect for our family. The condo was well kept and very clean.
