Barefoot Heron Bay 414 Free Shuttle to Pool/Beach

Exceptional 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse, spacious (1500 sq ft) will fit your year-round vacation needs. Whether golf is your game, BareFoot Landing Resort is centrally located & available for summer vacations or cozy winter retreats. Plus, restaurants, outlet shopping, amusement attractions & watersports for all ages to enjoy. The clubhouse and pub are available to guests, too.
Your reservation includes bed/bath linens, with beds freshly made upon your arrival, starter paper products & departure cleaning. This clean townhouse offers cool, bright colors and beach decor. The nice high ceilings give the family room a spacious open feel with sofa, love seat and occasional swivel chairs.. Flat screen TV's, DVD players in living room and all bedrooms. The kitchen is nicely stocked with essentials, including a Keurig for the fans! and a full breakfast bar. Use either of two dining areas to accommodate the group; one is a casual setting in the family room off-kitchen (seats 4) and the other is formal, dining space (seats 6) just off the foyer.
The main bedroom offers a King mattress, private en-suite bathroom with oversized glass enclosure shower (no bath), double vanity and custom closet built-ins. Upstairs offers two guest rooms, with 2 doubles and 2 twins. The upstairs bedrooms share the second hall bath with a tub/shower combination. There is also a half bath downstairs to accommodate family room guests.
Heron Bay has a community pool (complete with lounge chairs), grill & picnic area just a short walk from this property with charcoal grill and small picnic area. Guests are welcome to use the main North Tower Resort pool and hot tub, located at the marina/waterway, near the Barefoot entrance. It is the largest outdoor pool in South Carolina. The beach is approx. 1.5 miles, you can park at any public access parking space for hourly fee, or ride the FREE BareFoot Shuttle (late May to Sept) from the condo to the beach, to the North Tower Resort Pool or even to the BareFoot Landing Shopping District, too. No beach badges required. If you need beach supplies, then umbrellas and chairs can be rented thru NMB city beach services (set up and taken down daily on the beach) or we can recommend a local service that will bring them to your door and pick them up at departure. Barefoot Community has miles of walking and biking paths and beautifully landscaped grounds offer you another perspective of vacationing a little off the beach.

Barefoot plenty of space

Well kept community close to the pool The property could use some minor up grades. We were not able to use the TV in the main area due to the remotes not working. The first night on the sofa a bug crawled across my arm. We looked forward to using the bikes but both pedals on the bikes were broken. Overall we were happy with the stay and the Accommodations. Lots of space and very quiet neighborhood.

There was plenty of room for the three adults and two kids that we had in our party. The house was very close to the community pool, which was nice. The community was quiet.We did have an issue with the dishwasher while we stayed. It was fixed within a couple days though. The kitchen was missing some basic necessities that have been at other homes that we stayed at such as salt and pepper and little things like that. The house is in need of some upgrades. Some of the furniture is dinged up and not in the best condition.Our only major complaint was the beds. They are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were also paper thin and very hard. In the master bedroom, the sheets did not fit the bed and slipped off as soon as you laid down on them.

It is a beautiful townhouse - very well maintained and stocked with whatever you need. Large flat screen tv in living room and one in each of the three bedrooms. It's a perfect location. Across the street from the pool and a VERY short walk to the beach shuttle. The owners even have quite a few beach chairs we can use as well as umbrellas! A few minutes away is all the shopping, restaurants and entertainment that Myrtle Beach has to offer. Absolutely love this place and can't wait to stay here again!

Quiet, spacious vacation bliss

Our family has rented this exact home for the past four years. We LOVE the neighborhood--pool, walking trails, minutes from beach, shopping, restaurants without being close enough to hear the noise. Things we love about it: 1. The back yard opens to a common area with a lake. We grill out there, sit and watch the kids play, and there are hardly ever other people out there, so even though there are many homes, it feels very private. 2. The pool is a short walk across the street and is always clean and well kept. The grounds of this community are pristine. 3. It's a short drive to the beach area and it's a great spot. Not too crowed, very family friendly. A far cry from the Myrtle Beach boardwalk area with all the junk for sale and loud people. 4. The master suite is on the main level, kids can sleep upstairs. 5. Nearby are some of our favorite restaurants, shopping at Barefoot Landing, fun mini-golf, a large grocery store that carries all you could need. But the very best part of all is this is a family owned home (not a big company just out for money), and anything we need they are a phone call away. They are so kind and helpful. You can tell they love this home and enjoy sharing it with others. We will definitely be back for years to come!

Location was great, pool was clean house was fully stocked. This was our second time visiting North Myrtle and loved being in Barefoot Landing. Only a few small issues that could make it perfect. Fruit flies everywhere inside the house. They were there when we checked in. Killed probably a dozen a day or more. 2 the upstairs sink drain was broken. I noticed Friday when I checked in and was fixed Tuesday. There is only 1 sink upstairs. Also the master bed sheets don’t stay on because there is a plastic mattress protector. Bike pedals need to be tightened also.

Pool across the street, shuttle to the beach, back yard we can grill in. When we wanted to cook at home we could - the kitchen was fully stocked with pots pans and utensils. When we wanted to eat out we drove down the road to barefoot landing and had our choice of restaurants. The townhouse itself was spacious and immaculate. Would definitely recommend this property.

Nice unit, needs little TLC

Very nicely decorated unit, has beachy-summer feel to it. Rugs need attention and screened in patio would be nice but has all amenities (especially like Keurig ) and our stay was very pleasant. Would use again.

Filthy

The place was filthy. It definitely was not cleaned before we arrived. Not vacuumed. Crumbs on counters. Hair everywhere. Cobwebs behind every TV. Room doors did not close or lock. No batteries in TV remotes and clocks. Master bath shower door was broken and almost crushed my 11-year old daughter. Didn’t get working key to Heron Bay pool for 4 days and North Tower pool for 3 days. Access to the pools were a major deciding factor on choosing the house. Random screws all over the counters and floors. Some outlets in kitchen didn’t work. Ants on countertops. Spoke with Amanda many times. She said she would get back to us about compensation, but we never heard back. Extremely disappointed, frustrated and angry.

Nice but lacking

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The size of the condo was perfect to suit our family. The location was nice and felt safe. The pool was very close and convenient. The shuttle was nice when we didn’t feel like driving. But with that being said, the condo itself seemed heavily used and the furnishings and carpets were very worn and stained, so much that it felt dirty. The amenities were lacking; basic cooking supplies (salt/pepper/pan spray), trash bags, paper towels, cheap toilet paper, terrible bed sheets, cheap hand soap, etc. They advertised a fitness room but there is not one for use. Overall, it is very nice on the outside but has a cheap motel feel on the inside.

Family Beach Vacation

Amazing/Relaxing

Our stay there was awesome, but wish the pool fobs were working. We will be coming back again soon. Thank you for such an amazing trip will never forget it.

A great getaway

My overall experience at Barefoot Landing was hands down amazing. This place has a great scenery, great for family and near the beach. We are already planning on coming back. Thank you for making our experience amazing.

Senior Trip

Everything was great and the people were nice except the pool near us was closed and the big pool closed earlier than stated so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool after being at the beach as planned.
