We had a great stay at this house in Saxton, PA! The home was very clean and had literally everything we needed during our stay. The hosts went above and beyond by providing plenty of firewood and kindling for the fire pit, which made for such a relaxing evening outdoors. The area itself was lovely. Quiet, peaceful, and perfect for getting away and unwinding. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Saxton area!

Beautiful, clean house just 15 minutes from Raystown Resort! The hosts provide the essentials to get your trip started, and there's a Giant and Dollar General nearby in case you need to pick up anything you forgot.We really enjoyed the outdoor games and spending time on the patio with morning coffee and evening drinks. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the hosts were very responsive with clear instructions throughout our stay. The towels were soft, clean, and plentiful.The circular driveway was a huge bonus for us since we brought a boat—it made turning around much easier than having to back in.The only thing I'd mention is that the queen bed upstairs is very firm. If you prefer a softer mattress, you may want to bring a mattress topper. The other beds were also on the firmer side but not nearly as firm.The family we traveled with mentioned that they couldn't get the TV working because it required a passcode, and the internet wasn't very reliable. That wasn't a big deal for us since we were there to enjoy the lake, but it's worth noting for anyone planning to stream or watch TV.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider staying here again!

This home was perfect for our family of 8. The master bedroom is massive and no shortage of closet space. This is the 1st vacation home we stayed in that actually had a pantry to put dry goods, which we loved as we cook all our meals. Kitchen, living room, dining room were able to fit us all comfortably. Large deck, grill area and a fire pit area. Definitely walk back through the woods to the creek. It was a beautiful blue while we were there from the natural minerals. We went in once but the temp is fierce cold. Still beautiful to sit on the rocks and absorb the beauty. If you have kods and don't mind the drive, Three Psring Borough community pool was worth it. 5 per person to get in but a large pool, 2 dives, 2 water slides and a kiddie area. 30 min drive but better than the pool close to the home. The lake was beautiful, Trough creek was the closet place for swimming and kayaking on Raystown Lake. Roadhouse in Saxton has amazing food and the pizza shop as well. Don't skip on this house. Plenty of room for parking cars and an area for our two young children to play.

Nice country cabin with ample space for 6 adults and a dog. The home had many amenities and was well stocked with essentials. The layout was great and allowed our family to be together when we wanted to be and also had space for privacy when needed. We were close enough to town to enjoy dinner out and go for ice cream, but country enough to enjoy the sounds of nature. We would definitely recommend this property to friends.

We booked for 6 days, but due to tick and bee infestation in the yard we left the same day. Just taking the dogs out for a short potty break had them as well as my husband and myself crawling with ticks. I live in the mountains, so am used to dealing with them and treat my property and dogs to keep them at bay. This property had not had any treatment for pests outside, though the host said they would call someone. The yard could also use a good spring clean up. The grass was long and fallen twigs and branches everywhere. The house itself was very nice, though not as secluded as we thought it would be, as there were neighbors directly beside and across the street. The interior was mostly clean, and plenty of room and amenities. We were sorely disappointed we could not stay and enjoy it.

We love the Raystown Lake area for its laid-back, relaxed, back to the basics way of life. The neighborhood is quiet and filled with generations of families who have grown up and still live here. Being nature lovers, we naturally fell in love with the springs, creeks, mountains, and the lake itself.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We fell in love with the character and history of this property, which is over 80 years old. It has unique walls, floors, and other features that new houses just can't offer. Of course, we were also drawn to the trickling, rock-lined spring and the mountain creek with its walking trail. But best of all, we've renovated this cabin into a true home away from home. We've included plenty of amenities so you can bring your family and friends without having to worry about a thing. The smooth rocks lining the spring and walls remind us that this area was once a valley of water thousands of years ago.
