Charming, four-bedroom, two full bath retreat located on a secluded, one-plus-acre lot that borders Trough Creek State Park (which adjoins state forest and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lands which are open for hunting) and is less than three miles from Raystown Lake. This retreat features central air, a spacious, fully-stocked kitchen, open living and dining areas, two first floor bedrooms, and an additional family room in the lower level. You will enjoy lovely views from the large, wraparound deck or lower level patio.

Additional exterior features: boat/camper parking, fire pit,and smoker.

Towels & Linens NOT provided.

NO SMOKING - Evidence of smoking in the home will result in the loss of security deposit.

Faites le plein de culture en visitant les emblématiques Mapleton Historical Society et Swigart Museum, ou passez par les sympathiques Port Seven Points et Blair County Driving Range pour vous éclater le temps d'un après-midi. Les agréables Frankstown Township Memorial Park et East Broad Top Railroad méritent aussi une visite. Met Expectations

Very nice cabin. Location is peaceful so you can enjoy sitting outside in the evening and close enough to the lake to go fishing throughout the day. I would definitely stay here again.

Family getaway

Location was nice and check in was easy. Had a problem with an exposed outlet that starting sparking smoking but luckily we were able to switch the breaker off and a handyman was sent to repair.

Loved the updated kitchen. The sofas were very comfortable. Slept well on the mattresses. It was a cozy retreat.

Nice quiet getaway

My family, friend and I stayed 3 nights at this house. The location is a bit of a ways from the local places. We hiked the nearby trough creek. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen, firepit and comfortable rooms. Jackie M

Perfect cabin near the lake

Very private cabin in the woods. My dog was super happy to not be on a leash. Plenty of room for boat turnaround/parking and additional cars. Very clean and good AC. Kitchen was very nice with new appliances. Easy short drive to Tatman boat launch.

B-Day Weekend retreat

Great place to stay! Great location near Ray's Town Lake. The Cottage was quite the set up and clean. Had more supplies for cooking then stated in the review. Overall we will stay there again when the occasion arises

Beautiful inside and out!

We loved every minute of our stay! The open design in the family room and kitchen had plenty of seating for everyone to hang out together! The oversized decks were awesome to view the stars at night! And the drive to the lake was maybe five minutes, hope to get the same place next year! We have been a lot of places and I can say this was the cleanest! Very inviting, we felt at home!

Great for family with pets.

Plenty of room for your dogs to stretch out. No need to worry about the dogs getting distracted by neighboring pets at a camp site. Quiet, great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Slow down, drive to the lake and enjoy!

Check in process was problematic….access code for door did not work. Tried to call manager, but no cell service in area. Went to trough creek ranger station and used their landline. Manager gave me code for lock box which did work. Wi-Fi did not work. My sons and nephew tried to restart, reboot, etc to get it to work. They even had a computer to do a more technical way to reset, but nothing worked. We could not call or send text messages to other family at the lake. The basement area is musty, damp and dank. I felt bad putting my son’s family down there. They would not use the gross shower! Also, I found that only having 1 toilet roll per bathroom and 1 garbage bag was rather cheap! Plus they expected us to clean up. Dishes cleaned and put away, garbage in containers outside and no linens. I’d like to know what the cleaning money goes to? Sorry, but that’s our story….

Great location/needs some improvements

This is a cabin. It is in a great spot, barring the neighbors playing their radio. We saw a bear in the yard in the evening one night. A couple tips that would have my stay better. There is no gas grill. Bring charcoal. Bring ALL linens I including a tea towel. Bring 2 tablecloths , one for in the house because the table's varnish is sticky and 1 for the outside picnic table. Bring chairs for outside deck!!! There is one broken glider that seats 2. There is no dishwasher. I felt like I had to rewash/boil everything because there have been dozens of renters. Do not come if you have allergies. There are at least a dozen artificial flower arrangements covered in dust and dirt. The beds were comfortable. 2 rooms downstairs, one without a window. Basically 1 usable bathroom. Washer and dryer available. There is a small ac unit in the living room that cooled things off but was super noisy and blew on you. I would have liked this property better if I would have come prepared or could have made a more informed decision about renting this place. With some small upgrades, repairs and cleaning, this place would have been awesome.

Great property for a relaxing weekend

Plenty of room, all living spaces as described, and spotless. Easy to find with GPS directions. Plenty of parking. Well stocked with DVDs and books. One thing not mentioned in description is that the twin / double bed rooms downstairs are connected, and one of those rooms can only be accessed through the other or from outside. Great property and experience overall.

Great location, home in need of maintenance and cleaning

Amazing location. Mouse dropping and general dirty kitchen dishes etc. Everything we used needed to be washed before use. We used the same few dishes to eliminate washing everything thing. Some cabinets were not able to be closed. Drawer with knives seemed like it would fall if not opened carefully. Rugs and bedroom provided comforters and mattress pads were stained. Really could use general cleaning and updates. Bring your own sponge, aluminum foil, and lots of paper towels/towels, maybe paper plates, and mugs for tea/coffee in addition to suggested dish soap, linens, and toilet paper. Would absolutely recommend location. Costly for condition of home. There are two levels for multi family sharing. Room layout should be described in listing. Two bedrooms are attached. Property manager is responsive to concerns. Could be a really nice spot.
