Parkside Place / Amazing Location / One Of A Kind!

Bidwell Park is right outside your door! Walk across the street to enjoy bike trails, walking paths, and swimming holes. Downtown Chico, Chico State, and Sierra Nevada Brewery are also minutes away. Then come back to your space to spread out and relax. Perfect to accommodate multiple families, with toys & books, OLED HD 75" TV and TV's in two bedrooms too. Game room has 5 adult bikes and 3 for kids, pool table, foosball, and a retro arcade game!
(No Animals Permitted including ESA/Service)

Windows throughout the home will be sure to delight if natural light is your thing! Downstairs living room and kitchen are open concept and wonderful for gathering. The loft upstairs provides a second living room space, still quite connected with the activity below.

Three bedrooms downstairs:
The 1st is a master that includes a king bed, it's own 43" TV, and has a bathroom that has a shower.
The 2nd has a queen bed just a little further down the hall with it's own built in desk work-space.
The 3rd is a spare bedroom off the main living space with a queen bed and a beautiful skylight.

Main hallway bathroom has a luxurious jetted bathtub.

Upstairs is the loft on one side and a large master family suite with a king bed, and also a bunk bed with a trundle roll out to sleep three additional guests. Great for a family wanting one room to share during their stay or multiple friends looking to bunk together. This bedroom also has a bathroom with a shower and a large walk in closet, set up as a kids play space.

The garage has been transformed into a game room with a pool table, foosball, and bikes!

Finally, there is plenty of parking on site! While you will have the entire Parkside Place home to yourself, there is another smaller home on the property that will sometimes be occupied by other guests, and we've made the parking areas set up to accommodate this. If the other home is reserved, please note that while you each have your own parking and no shared walls, you may see other guests coming and going from the other home. You can find our VRBO listing to reserve both homes if you would like to have the whole property to yourself and space for up to 20 guests.

Charming home near Bidwell Park

My family enjoyed our stay in this charming home. Check in was a breeze and Bri was super friendly and responsive to the one question we had upon arrival. The house is right across from Bidwell Park and is very quiet. Overall a great place to stay for a visit to Chico!

Graduation Lodging

What a charming home with large kitchen, living room and dining area for our entire family to gather and visit. Without being on top of each other. Easy access to beautiful walking trails and lovely neighborhood. As we are active family!Location is quick drive to Chico State and downtown for our many trips during festivities!

Holiday gathering at Parkside

It was a great house. Only streaming TV which worked out fine. We wished it had a barbeque but we were able to cook hamburgers in cast iron frying pan...location was great. Peaceful quiet older neighborhood.

Wedding Trip to Chico

Lovely - location and property itself. Well provisioned. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. Deck in back is 'cozy' and could use a few more chairs. Web site lists 'hot tub' - we spoke with owner there is none. Would have been nice but was a most minor issue. Nice place whish it was mine. We give it an EXCELLENT RATING. :)

Thank you for the review Gary! I apologize for the mistake in the listing about a hot tub, it is fixed now. Glad the stay was pleasant for you and that you enjoyed the home and location so much! For future guests: there is an indoor jetted bathtub in the home, and we may add an outdoor hot tub some day, but if so, we will add pictures of it!

Family retreat

Small problems, baggage stand was broken, deck between houses uneven. Dangerous for elderly. There was a crack in window of downstairs bedroom. But we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home.

Thanks for bringing the baggage stand to our attention! I will repair or replace that promptly. Window replacement is also scheduled for later this month. We've had a hard time getting someone to come out for just one cracked window. So happy you enjoyed the home. ❤️

Artsy decor with big comfy furniture

This home is "as advertised"! Artsy with fabulous decor, a great big beautiful kitchen, comfy sofas, and beds with layers of great bedding. Extra blankets for cool nights. When we arrived, the home was warm and toasty inside, and the coffee pot was ready for the morning: great host and a great house. I will rent again next year.

I am an artist who grew up in Chico, taught art for 12 years, and now enjoy hosting painting parties and setting up homes to be lovely for guests like you! I've made most of the art you see throughout our VRBO properties and I sometimes even get to lead a paint and sip session for guests who want to add that on to their experience in Chico.

I also love to travel with my husband Daniel and our son. We have stayed in so many wonderful homes over the years and the energy and details included by different hosts is always such an inspiration! It's fun that no matter where we go, I always come back with fresh ideas to keep improving this space for our future guests.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

As a Chico girl, Bidwell Park has been a part of my upbringing. Chicoans just call it "The Park" because it's so big and we all know how wonderful it is. Living on Vallombrosa, which runs along The Park, for two years, meant going for a run or meeting a friend for a walk was just bathed in this extra layer of magic because of how easy it was to pop over to The Park and be immersed in nature! My son's upbringing has had all of this whimsy too: he loves swimming in the creek, we got to ride our bikes to his summer nature camp, and family outings were as simple as throwing together a picnic and walking across the street.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This home is flooded with natural light and you can tell that the designers wanted that outside in feeling with the loft, positioning of the windows, and wood throughout. I've enjoyed adding to that vibe with nature inspired paintings, live plants all around, and thoughtful touches to nod to my Chico roots and love of nature. Life alongside Bidwell Park is a treat to experience, however long you can carve out to be here!
