This is perfect for a family. Each bedroom having a bathroom with 2 teenagers was a lifesaver. First ever beach trip for the kids. Had a blast! House sits the perfect distance from the water.
It was beautiful! The house was immaculate and the entire area is dog friendly! The beach was private which was amazing! It really is a beautiful home!
Nice beachfront home. Needed a better job of maintaining small things. Multiple light bulbs burnt out, crack in one of the shower enclosures that ended up leaking water to the underside of the house, wine cooler did not work. Could use extra blankets, weather was chilly the first few days. Install a dog gate at the bottom of the deck . Overall, nice house in a nice location.
VRBO lists this as an owner rented property.
They are actually using/relisting a property management listing
I was charged a large fee by VRBO for a property I could have gotten from the agent
They also double charged me double for insurance
Rolling Tide was 20% off due to the myriad dead roaches (better than alive), the head of a rusty nail that was found on the deck, and that two of the three lounge chairs on the deck were broken. Another frustrating point was the sheets that slid off the bed due to being too small and on a hot, slippery mattress cover. Other frustrations include no extra blankets or throws, the freezer makes very little ice, and the dishwasher rack in the bottom is broken, the tv in living room doesnât work. I rated Rolling Tide 3 stars because it is an air conditioned home on the beach.
We absolutely adored Rolling Tide! The house is so spacious, beautifully decorated, room for all ten family members. The kitchen so well equipped with everything you need. So close to the beach right about the back door. Our furbabies enjjoed the beach also. Will definitely stay again, if AVAILABLE.
We rented this beach house for the week celebrating my mother and father in lawâs 50th wedding anniversary. It was everything we had hoped for and the pics were exactly as shown online. We were very impressed and would definitely stay there again! The family really enjoyed themselves!
Location definitely takes you away from busy spring break areas. Mostly families in surrounding houses, no issues at night with neighbors getting rowdy. House is very close to the beach. Kids and adults had a great time looking for shells. Public beaches were mostly empty and made for beautiful pictures.
House had the potential to be great. Great room and kitchen were a great space for everyone to be together. Tile floor was great and would have been easy to keep clean if the vacuum actually worked, leaving you to have to use a broom and dust pan. Kitchen lacked the basic essentials. Make sure to bring everything they tell you to bring. Some basic supplies would have been nice. Windex, tin foil, Tupperware, salt and pepper. It may be time to upgrade the pans. The green pans left a cooked on mess. Lots of time spent soaking those after trying to make an omelet. Sheets were paper tin, pillows were stained, towels were old and most of them stained. Blankets would have been appreciated for the beds as the quilts were pretty lightweight. Master shower was cracked and a repairman showed up to fix with 30minutes notice. He was super cordial and apologetic but not necessarily something you want to have to deal with on vacation. Still an unfixed crack in that same shower. Drink refrigerator not working.
Outside, Lots of sand, so be ready. Hose was available off back deck but no spray gun with it. Deck table was nice, chairs were rusty and kind of gross. Lounge chairs made for a great place to lounge without the sand. Some popped rusty nails noticed on the deck stairs. Bring chairs and beach towels and beach toys as these are not supplied.
Overall, we had a great time and this place could be a five star house with some attention to detail.
We loved the layout of the house. We were so close to the gulf. We watched dolphins from the deck.
The island is very quaint. The restaurants were very good.
After Ida, the beach was pretty much washed awayâŠ.thus much closer & we would have been in the water at high tide. Property managers very helpful & accommodating. The home was just perfect!
Dauphin Island is a dream. The house is gorgeous and the views from the front & back are perfect. We loved our Spring Break week at Rolling Tides. We enjoyed daily beach time and the relaxing atmosphere of the island. We made lots of great memories!
The layout of this home would be great for larger groups, but it was ideal just for the two of us as well.
It was very comfortable. Our only minor complaint was that it had not been thoroughly cleaned before our stay. There was still sand on the floor in many places and bathmats had not been replaced in the bathrooms. We found them in the dryer. It wasn't bad enough to complain about and we chalked it up to a busy weekend.
