A Round the Glen - Unique 2BR, 2BA, Fenced In Yard, Firepit, Deck
Come embrace the magic of the surrounding Western North Carolina mountains and lose yourself at A Round the Glen, a unique 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom round house just minutes from downtown Maggie Valley. Â This one level rondette features a semi-wraparound deck overlooking a large fenced in yard and offers the perfect spot to catch the cool mountain breeze with a warm cup of coffee in the morning or your favorite beverage in the evening. Â This cozy home is the perfect location for all of your mountain activities and adventures. Â Best of all, it's easy access is just one step in and out to the main deck and home from the level parking area, via a flat stone walkway. Â
Once inside, the main floor opens to an open living room featuring beautiful stone gas fireplace featuring an overstuffed couch and chairs. Â Thoughtful touches can be found throughout this home including a gaming station, bar area and kitchen coffee station. Â Adjacent to the living space is a small 2-person dining table for meals or a friendly game of cards. Â The open kitchen is fully stocked with your favorite cooking utensils and appliances and looks out onto the deck and fenced in area outside. Â Beside the kitchen is the primary king bedroom, primary full bath with tub shower combo. Â A queen bedroom, full guest bath and adjacent stackable washer/dryer round are located just steps away. Â
Outside, the afternoon sun will catch you napping or reading your favorite book as you smell dinner cooking on the grill. Â For the more adventurous, the outdoor fire pit is a perfect setting for conversations under the stars or building a few old-fashioned sâmores made over an open fire. Right there, in your own private mountain setting.
Flat screen TVs in each bedroom and living space, mini-splits air and heat, washer, dryer, gas fireplace, firepit, large fenced in yard, high-speed internet and Wi-Fi complete the package. This special mountain property will give you lots of memories to take home, any season of the year!
Please note this property is dog friendly. Please contact the Property Manager at Maggie Mountain Vacations as there will be an additional non-refundable pet fee, not included in the base rent. Weâll need to know breed, weight and number of pets you will be bringing, during your stay, some restrictions apply. No other pets allowed. The approach to this property is on a fully paved road with gravel driveway. Â All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive would be required to access this home during snow or ice events. Â Snow tires and chains as well would be required in winter driving conditions.
A Round the Glen is just a few minutesâ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's âAmerican Pickersâ), horseback riding and only a few miles from golfing. In about 20 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This home is about a 20-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and âPolar Expressâ during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, youâll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas.
It is just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).
