We had a great experience at Gore Creek. Clean, great location, great house for a group. excellent communication. some of the groups second time staying there.
Very much enjoyed our stay and the home had everything we could possibly need. Excellent and responsive support from the team made things easy and 6-8" of snow a day sure helped a lot as well (make sure you request that before you go).
Beautiful home which is perfectly located for enjoying Vail / Lionshead, biking, hiking, and restaurants. Enjoyed dinner on the spacious deck overlooking Gore Creek. We will be back next summer!
Great house and plenty of room for the kiddos to play! 3D walk through of house is very representative of amenities. Perfect fit and layout for our families. Adam and on-site caretakers were very nice and responsive to any issues/requests. Would definitely rent again in the future.
I canât believe I havenât left a review yet! This house was stunning. Absolutely perfect. Honestly I have zero complaints. Exceeded our expectations. Comfy beds, movie room, dishes galore. It was a dream to cook in with that kitchen. Hottub. You name it! Favorite VRbO yet!
We loved your home the only thing we would
Suggest were new/better bed pillows.
Because Iâm a clean freak would have loved having a vacuum (but thatâs just me)lol
New guest book and hammock(was advertised in listing)would have been nice.
Your home is lovely snd we really enjoyed our time thereâŠ.absolutely amazing being by the creek!!!
PS: may want to check the grill (clean the jets) it misfires when trying to start it)
Thank you for sharing your homeâŠ.we definitely would rent it again if the opportunity presents itself!

This property is a beautiful and clean home situated about a 5 min drive from Lionshead village in Vail. Check-in Instructions were sent prior to our arrival, which I admittedly had not read ahead of time.
After landing and picking up our rental car, we pulled up to the house at 2:30pm. The âcaretakerâ who lives on the property met us outside and began a rude and hostile exchange with us because we came 1.5 hrs prior to check-in. In fact, his demeanor and behavior were completely unprofessional and unbecoming of someone who is in the âhospitalityâ business. Not to mention, the exchange with my husband took place in front of four children.
I would not recommend staying at this VRBO. Again, the home was beautiful, but the caretaker needs a lesson or two in hospitality!

We take a family vacation every year (15 people) to different locations and we totally loved this beautiful home in Vail. It is even more spectacular than the pictures show. There are 3 floors with a lovely circular staircase connecting each floor. The floor to ceiling windows from the main floor to the second floor provide a stunning view of the the majestic evergreens and the rushing waters of Gore Creek. The main floor living/kitchen area is gorgeous, spacious and comfortable (two dishwashers - which we really loved!). The stone deck across the front of the house with a large grill area and two large tables made for great meals and family time outside. Always with the sound of the creek in the background (and who can get tired of that!). The bunk bed room on this floor also has a double bed and is right next to the movie room - a kid's paradise! The upper floor (which looks out over the main level and has a view of the creek as well) has a pool table, living area and two bedrooms with a bath. The lower level has 3 bedrooms - a huge master bedroom that walks out to the stone deck, along with two other bedrooms. And, I also have to say that all of the bathrooms are very well-appointed with HUGE showers. There is a nice grassy area for games and for kids to run around and the hot tub was well-used after polar plunges into the creek! We have been doing this for 15 years and this is one of our favorite homes, without a doubt. I would highly, highly recommend this home for your stay in Vail.
Overall our stay at this property was good but not great. The property location was excellent and was very close to the slopes and grocery store. The property was somewhat dated and clean but dusty and caused major allergic sneezing spells with people in our party. The room description was accurate and the house had plenty of room with a good media room. The layout was 3 stories and all masters were on the bottom level with kids room was upstairs and front door on the third level. The kitchen was big and functional. There was one huge issue for a house in Colorado in which the fireplace was a focal point of the great room - the fireplace was not ventilated properly and created a house full of smoke every time you lit up a log. Also, what was not mentioned in the description was an attached apartment which houses the on-site âcare-takerâ who was rude and unhelpful. When asked if he could help with fireplace, he remarked âeveryone has problems with the fireplaceâ and that we just needed to open some doors to allow the smoke out of the house. The outside was scenic next to the creek and the outdoor furniture was nice on the deck but on the lower level was dirty and not maintained. Overall we would not come back to the house with our family and extended family and after the real price came up (not the listed price), I would definitely stay somewhere else.
This home looks pretty wonderful when you view the listing but what isn't made clear is that the home has 3 levels with bedrooms on each level and the kitchen / living area is on the second level down.
So you enter on the top floor, which has 2 bedrooms and a living area with a pool table. The rest of the house is below you, so you descend a large winding staircase to find the next level which contains the kitchen, dining and living area as well as access to the deck and grill area, a bedroom with several bunk beds, a powder room with a large shower as well as a media room that is accessed through the bedroom with the bunk beds. This level is the where you will spend most of your time but is also the most difficult to negotiate. The living area is several steps down from the walkway to the kitchen and the access to the deck is via a landing that is 4 to 5 inches below the kitchen. Confused? I personally tripped over this short step 4 times during our stay and may need surgery to repair a torn bicep that occurred when I caught myself as I was falling on the second trip. This is why I named this home "Goat House". The master bedroom is located down another large winding stairway that descends to the lower level where the master as well as two more bedrooms (one ensuite and one with a hall bath) are found. So if you are staying in the master bedroom you need to ascend two long flights of stairs to exit the home to get to your car. Getting luggage down there was strenuous.
