We would like to add some clarification for future guests. First, the property is accurately advertised; nowhere does it state that this is a standalone home. It shares a wall with neighboring residences, and the listing reflects the property and its amenities as advertised. Regarding parking, we were not made aware during the stay that the owners’ vehicles were creating an issue. Our 24/7 staff remained in communication with the guest throughout the stay, and had we been notified, we could have contacted the owners to address the vehicles and help accommodate the guests. The concerns regarding cameras are also important to clarify. Interior cameras are not operating during guest stays. They are unplugged, put away, and used only when the property is vacant. Exterior security cameras remain operational for the safety and security of the property and its guests. The alarm system did experience an issue during this stay. The owner worked to resolve it, although unfortunately it took longer than expected and was ultimately corrected after the guest’s departure. The system is intended as an additional security measure and should not present this issue for future guests. We are also concerned by the comments regarding odors and the lower-level bedrooms. The property is professionally cleaned, pets are not permitted, and this is not feedback we had previously received. Our staff has since looked into the concern. More importantly, this was never brought to our attention during the guest’s stay, despite our team being in communication with them. The dart board and basketball hoops are operational. We believe the issue was related to use rather than the equipment being unavailable. Likewise, our records show that someone was sent to address the hot tub during the guest’s stay. Had we been told there was still an issue afterward, we would have continued working toward a resolution. Regarding trash, our departure instructions specifically explain where and when trash should be placed and include reminders to be bear aware. This information is provided in multiple locations, including the departure instructions, in-unit documentation, and our Good Neighbor information, specifically to avoid confusion. The neighboring residents are not involved in managing or renting the property and were not the appropriate source for determining the rental’s trash procedures. Finally, the deck and outdoor furnishings are accurately represented in the listing. While guests may have personal preferences for additional furnishings or amenities, we are always available during a stay if guests have questions or requests. Overall, there are several significant discrepancies between this review and what was communicated to us during the stay. Our 24/7 staff was in contact with this guest throughout their visit, yet several of these concerns were never reported. We genuinely wish the guest had shared the full extent of their concerns with us while they were here. We would have been happy to address the issues we could and work quickly toward getting their stay back on track.
