Dock was in disrepair because the gangway out to the dock was not properly installed and made accessing the floating dock more difficult than it needed to be. The shed with PFDs, kayaks, etc was not well kept and completely disorganized. The dock is a looong way from the home, but that was expected.The house was nice and the porch was great. We really enjoyed the lake and the remote location. Worked out very well for our weekend getaway. I would recommend it to others, just wanted to point out areas that could improve.

We're glad you enjoyed the house, porch, remote lake setting, and that the property worked well for your weekend getaway. Regarding the shed, we'll have our handyman take a look and organize the PFDs, kayaks, and other items. The lake has also been unusually low, which has placed the floating dock in a lower position than normal and affected dock access. Thank you for recommending the property and for sharing areas where we can continue improving the guest experience.

Great lake front cabin. Cozy inside with full size hot tub and fire pit. Pet friendly with fenced deck all the way down to the dock. 1 hr to Johnson city and Bristol. Will be back again.

House is well stocked with everything you could need. Views are awesome and the fire pit and outdoor fireplace make the outdoor experience warm and cozy.

Beautiful place for a family vacation on Watauga Lake. Great for a small family trip. Private with gorgeous lake views. Nice home and well stocked kitchen. Spent most of my time on the porch taking in the mountain air and lake views.

Mountain hideaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the property once we found it. Make sure you arrive for the first time in daylight as the roads are hard to navigate if you are unfamiliar with them.

This was our second year staying here, and it was just as perfect as the first. We love starting mornings in the hot tub and ending evenings by the outdoor gas fireplace. The private dock, tucked into a peaceful cove, is a beautiful spot for lounging and we especially appreciated being able to keep our rented pontoon there overnight. The setting is absolutely stunning—quiet, picturesque, and right on the water. The home is comfortable, pet friendly, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Great vacation, beautiful setting

This was an organized and well supplied beautiful cabin and location on the lake. Being set in a cove and staying on weekdays it was very quiet and peaceful. If I need to include a fault it is the grill that was in terrible condition and unusable. We had a perfect vacation.

Watauga Lake stay

This was an amazing getaway! The house had everything you would need. Felt very comfortable and homey! We used the pedal boat and hung out on the dock. Also enjoyed just sitting on the deck overlooking the water. Peaceful and relaxing.

Beautiful Location

Enjoyed the facility it was very nice. I was a bit further away from the area of Elizabethton than I had thought. Other than the distance of drive to Elizabethton everything else was very enjoyable.

Does not disappoint!

Our second time at this property. It is beautiful, lots of time spend in and on the water. Dogs had a great time soaking up sun on the large deck. There are MANY stairs down to the lake so keep this in mind with pets and family.

We had a great weekend! The house is very clean and comfortable.

This is a beautiful house! We didn't need anything except for a coffee pot. I would recommend going to a grocery store before getting to the lake house. We enjoyed grilling, using the hot tub, and playing the great selection of board games!

Great vacation

The home was wonderful. Peaceful quiet location on the cove. We brought our boat ex access launch was only 10 minutes away. Home was stocked wonderfully with everything you need and more. We loved all the games to choose from, the fire pit and multiple fireplaces. Pristinely clean upon arrival, host was very attentive. Cell service was a bit of an issue for us, but we made it ok. Internet excellent, such a great family vacation thank you!
