à propos de cet hébergement
Quiet Whidbey home w/vineyard & harbor/mountain views, dog-friendly!
DESCRIPTION:
Perch in the Vines is a quiet whole house vacation home beside a vineyard, created for rest,
creativity, and time away. It is a natural fit for writers, artists, musicians, solo travelers, couples,
and families, including those bringing a well behaved dog.*
Mornings begin with sunrise light over the vineyard next door, with harbor and mountain views
filtered through the trees, often accompanied by birds and the occasional deer passing through.
Evenings slow naturally, whether that means enjoying local wine or cider at sunset or settling in
by the fireplace with a book, music, or games.
A Curated and Character Filled Home
This renovated 1960s home has been thoughtfully curated to encourage connection and quality
time. Original paintings and photography from the area are woven throughout the space,
alongside books, games, and collected details that reflect the surrounding landscape.
Vaulted interiors, modern updates, and a gourmet kitchen create a comfortable and welcoming
atmosphere that feels relaxed yet intentional. We have put a great deal of love into this home,
from new appliances and upgraded linens to a well stocked kitchen, and we hope you feel that
care during your stay.
Layout and Sleeping Arrangements
The home spans two levels, with living spaces upstairs and downstairs that offer both
togetherness and privacy. It works beautifully for families or two couples traveling together.
Upstairs
The main bedroom includes a king bed and two twins (trundle). Vaulted ceilings, a work desk
with vineyard views, and sliding doors to the deck create a light filled retreat. A hallway powder
room includes two sinks and a commode, while the large walk in shower is located in the
bedroom, with curtains for privacy.
Downstairs The first bedroom includes a queen bed, dresser, and closet with organizer.
The second bedroom has two twins (trundle), a bookshelf, and a closet organizer.
A comfortable living area includes a queen sofa bed and opens to the patio and backyard.
Kitchen, Dining, and Living Spaces
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and gathering, with quality cookware, baking
essentials, and a wide selection of dishes and glassware. A coffee, whiskey, and wine bar is
part of the experience, and the dining table expands to seat up to eight.
Upstairs, the living room features a modern sofa and chairs, a 65 inch TV, a record player with
speakers, games, and a small curated book library with an art book collection. The fireplace
adds warmth in cooler months, while summer brings natural breezes from the water.
Downstairs, a second living area offers its own fireplace, TV, and a relaxed place to unwind.
Outdoor Spaces
Outdoor living is an important part of the home. The main deck includes a dining table,
barbecue, lounge seating, and heaters for cooler evenings. A ledge with stools is a favorite spot
for a glass of wine or cider while enjoying the surroundings. The downstairs patio and backyard
provide additional space to relax.
A Few Things to Know
This is a thoughtfully styled home with stairs, balconies, art, books, and collected details
throughout. It is best suited for guests who appreciate a curated space and a peaceful setting.
Families with older children tend to enjoy the layout most.
The attached front cottage is not part of this listing. We are sometimes on the property but
respect guest privacy completely and are always nearby if needed.
As with many older homes that have been lovingly renovated, sound can carry and certain
architectural quirks remain. We are always happy to help make your stay as comfortable as
possible.
A Note About Fit
Perch in the Vines is located in a quiet neighborhood in Holmes Harbor and is designed for
peaceful enjoyment. It is intended for leisure stays and is not suitable for work crews,
commercial or job related use.
This home is not designed for parties, events, or gatherings beyond registered guests. It is a no
smoking, no vaping, and no drug use property, both inside and outside. It is best suited for
guests who value a calm environment and a well cared for space.
Dog Friendly
One well behaved dog under 45 lbs is welcome per booking, arranged in advance with a small
fee. Thoughtful dog travelers will find blankets, bowls, and occasional treats provided.
