Relaxing and convenient

This home is a 5 minute walk to the beach and a quick car trip to any store you need. It’s deck layout is amazing and provides multiple ways to enter the home. The pool was a great place to unwind and get some sun. The views of the ocean from the deck was a bonus!

When Dream Take Flight

We love the location and the amenities, although we were greeted with mold this time coming out of some of the vents. We called the company and they said they would put in a work order, but no one ever came. Overall we had a great stay and would rent with Beach Realty again.

Great location for a Fun Filled Family Week

The kitchen was very well equipped with dinnerware, pots, pans and appliances. Roku on the televisions allowed us to use our personal streaming services. The various decks allow beautiful views, perfect spots for relaxing and reading a good book. Easy walk to the beach, great for the 9, 5 and 3 year olds with us. Have already booked for the same week in 2024!

Breathtaking Sunrise View

Our daily bike rides to the local shops were a breeze on the back streets with friendly renters and owners. Many close choices for groceries kept us grilling and dining around the tables on the decks or inside. The kitchen is well stocked for serving families. Daily laundry was easy on the 2nd floor where the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are located. We can tell there are new owners and know they will update the linoleum floors and carpeted entry for cleanliness/odor. What they have done so far is great!

Great house for two families

We really enjoyed our stay. One thing was upsetting. We left a fire stick in one of the rooms asked to have it returned to us. They wanted to charge us over $70 just to ship it back. The thing weighs like 1 pound. That is ridiculous. So we had to just let them have it.

Our stay at this beach rental was incredibly disappointing and the opposite of the relaxing escape we had envisioned. The moment we arrived, the lack of cleanliness was impossible to ignore, and to make matters worse, we discovered roaches inside the property — an instant deal-breaker that made us feel uncomfortable and unsettled.There was no proper air conditioning, leaving the house thick with humidity and unbearably sticky until window units were finally installed two days later. By then, the damage to our comfort was already done. The pool, which we had been most excited about, was ice cold and unusable — a complete letdown.Even basic functionality within the home was a mess. The bathroom door in the main bedroom was pinned behind a bed, leaving us with no privacy. That issue was never resolved. On top of that, every bedroom door was stiff and difficult to open, adding to the daily frustration.Instead of peace and relaxation, we were left with discomfort, irritation, and disappointment at every turn. Between the roaches, the humidity, and the long list of unresolved issues, this was not the restful retreat we paid for. I would never recommend this rental to anyone.

The cleanliness and pest concerns were addressed immediately, and we had an HVAC vendor out as soon as possible to help with the humidity. The door issues have since been corrected, and the pool is operating properly. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to us and regret the inconvenience you experienced.

Going down hill

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here last year and absolutely loved it. This year the cleaning looked rushed and it was still dirty. The floors were dirty, master shower still had items left in it, drawers had some items left in them, and the upstairs “coffee table” had food in it. The outdoor pool trash wasn’t taken out and had dirty diapers from previous renters. The dryer vent was so filthy it was blowing massive chunks into the dryer. My husband had to go outside and pull some of the chunks of lint out of it because it was so blocked. Huge disappointment this year and unfortunately we are staying somewhere else next year. Excellent location but wasn’t worth all the money I paid.

We loved the private pool, hot tub, the location - easy walk to the beach and quiet neighborhood- good layout, fun decor, beds were comfortable. Is it a little dated? Yes. Could it use a deep clean and some repairs? Sure. Does it have everything you need for a great price? Absolutely!

Perfect location

The location was great. The outside pool area was beautiful and clean. It was a short walk to the beach and you could see the ocean from the living area. Beautiful view! The house is in need of general maintenance/cleaning and TLC (leaky sink, mold on air vents, corroded sharp bathtub spout, loose knobs, old slider doors that cannot easily be opened, broken outdoor grill, two spindles on outdoor deck were loose, stained quilts and pillows) Overall we had an amazing time as the location was perfect and the outside area was beautiful. Likely would find another house to stay at, but it did not take away from our trip.

Great house.

We had a lovely stay. Pool was awesome and the beach was a 5 minute walk away. My husband thought the internet was sluggish but we didn’t really have any problems with it. A/c was stellar, beds were comfortable. We appreciated all the little touches around the house.

Great vacation spot

Close to the beach. Had tons of dishes to be able to cook and eat with. Supplied us with a lot of things to use. In a great area close to a lot of other fun things to do

Great Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was just what we wanted. Had the right amenities that we were looking for. The house needs some work. The slider in the queen size bedroom had a bad roller. Door would open ok, but almost impossible to close. There was standing water in the washing machine basin. The Drain that runs out under house was clogged. There was also trash floating in the standing water. But everything else I would really give great marks.

Neglected 40 year old property

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’m not sure why this place has such great reviews. Here is an honest review. This house was hands down one of the worst houses we have stayed in.Cleanness: flat out gross, I would fire the cleaning crew ASAP. Cannot tell you how much dust and food splatter on the blinds. We found popcorn seeds all over the house all week. The air vents and air intake filter look like they have never been changed. The jack and Jill bathroom is tiny, and the shower curtain was covered in black mold, the towel rack has been ripped off the wall and it appears the vanity is separating from the wall.The blinds in the king bedroom do not twist open, nor do they fit the window properly. The room w the 2 twin beds: the closet door is off the tracks, the blinds in that room are about to snap at any moment, they are literally hanging on by a thread. The bathtub plug ​in hallway bath ​doesn’t work so you are unable to fill the tub if you need to bathe any children. It looks like there is water damage in the bathroom as well, and the spout is rusting. ​The kitchen is tiny, ​​pots and pans are lacking a variety of sizes.​ The dishwasher is not the best, after a wash the dishes are all still wet despite using heated dry. The whole house needs a paint job, there are numerous holes, cracks and chips out of the walls and wood. Some exterior lights are out and a lamp in the living room doesn't even have a light bulb in it.The washing machine is a mini sized, stackable. Nice to have a washer and dryer but doesn’t hold much. It also started leaking and the drip pan the washer sits in began to fill with water, the water murky and stale so prob been going on awhile. (We put a service request in for this) Positives: The pool is very nice​, new AC units and short walk to the beach ​This house is seriously neglected, needs a serious overhaul. Great little beach house!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time ever visiting North Carolina! We already booked for next year before we even left the vacation home. Everything you need! Washing machine, fully stocked kitchen, and full sized appliances. I way over packed because I didn’t realize how much the house really had! Short walk to the beach and then come back and finish your day at the pool and hot tub. Highly recommend!
