Birthday get away for my sister during Round Top Antique week. The house is beautiful, beds comfortable and had everything we needed!! Overall pleasant experience!
What a great property! The house must sit on an acre of land. The neighborhood was quiet and close to restaurants and antique shopping. The house itself reminded of me of To Kill a Mockingbird house with Atticus and Scout complete with screened in porch.
From the moment we arrived we were so thrilled with the house. The way it was decorated and the homey feel was just what we needed. We could relax in the evenings and spent a lot of our time in the kitchen!
This home is charming and cozy yet roomy enough for all 7 of us. The decor is beautiful and so well done. Little interesting treasures everywhere you look. Planning to book again next year!!! Owner was quickly responsive to all my questions and kind.
The house was very inviting and cozy, a perfect fit for our recent girls getaway. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. The window units kept the house extremely pleasant and comfortable. A great location that felt safe and welcoming. We loved that we could walk to The Brazos Belle Inn (delicious food) and had quick access to 290! We could easily see ourselves booking this house again for future trips to the area!
The pictures do not do that house justice. The house is super quaint and very well appointed. Lovely furnishings and decor. Great inspiration for round top shoppers!! Location is wonderful as well. Quiet and peaceful.
Greg was very quick with communications. My Friend and I had a comfortable and lovely stay.
The house was really cute and cozy. I spoke to the owner before check in and he was very gracious and helpful with recommendations. The house was located in a very central location to be able to shop both Brenham and Round Top. Our group was 5 women properly celebrating a 50th birthday with shopping, eating, and talking. I would definitely recommend this house for a quiet countryside weekend and would stay there again.
The Burton house was very nice. Super clean and the kitchen was great. (Would have been nice to have some coffee available so we didn't have to go to the store and get some, and we vote for larger coffee mugs :) ). The yard was gorgeous and well maintained. We loved sitting on the back deck early in the morning and listening to the church bells and the birds singing.
We walked down to the Blue Willow cafe and had a delicious dinner. Only caution I would have is that the sink and the shower are little close in one of the bathrooms. I had to hold my tummy in to get through the space , but I'm on the chunky side so.......
Lovely home, nice host that was easy to communicate with, and a beautiful little community. We had a great stay!
The property was great. House was decorated very well. The pictures donât do it justice. And Greg was very responsive and helpful. His restaurant recommendations were spot on! One word of caution: it is an old house. We knew this going in. There are window units for the AC and the layout is a little odd. However I felt like it all just added to the charm. We loved sitting on the swing and rocking chairs on the front porch and all of the people in Burton we met were very welcoming and friendly.
The house had a beautiful kitchen, nice linens, and comfortable beds. The bathroom we used had been remodeled with a wonderful shower but it did make the room a little tight. Also, we were there during a cold snap and the only heaters were in the window units in the large bedrooms. Unfortunately, one of those units is at the head of one of the beds, so we didn't run it. But other than that, it is a great place and would be even better in warm weather when we could have taken advantage of the outside amenities. The lessor was always available to answer questions, which was wonderful.
Perfect set up for our round top antiques week! Beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable! We never ran out of hot water with all the showering!
This was a great house for girls' getaway. Spent most of the time out and about. Plenty of window units so it was very comfortable. Owner was very responsive and friendly. Everyone we met in town was friendly too. Would definitely go again.
Charming house that worked out perfect for our Girls weekend at the Round Top Antique festival! Great location , perfect house set-up, and very easy communication with Greg.
Wonderful House for the Roundtop Antique Show Shopping Experience
Beautiful house and yard! Will definitely be staying here again -- fingers crossed it will be available when we try to book it for our next Antique show shopping trip! Thank you again host, Greg Vann!
My friends and I stayed for an antiques show weekend and loved this home!! The porches are so inviting. I spent a lot of time swinging on the front porch while drinking my coffee and enjoying the gorgeous yard. There were fireflies one evening, too! We brought in food and watched movies. We felt right at home. The house was even more beautiful than we imagined. There were plenty of beds and space. Both bathrooms were adorable. We would love to come back!
The Burton Belle has been in our family for more than 20 years. It is a 3/2 with 6 beds - 4 queens and 2 twins. We hope you enjoy your stay! Unfortunately, the property is blocked out / unavailable the week of Christmas (week of Dec 24) and the week of New Years (week of Dec 31). We also require a 2 night minimum stay and 48 hours between tenants for cleaning as it is an out of town property.
This home is unique as it's away from the bustle of the surrounding cities. It is literally in the middle of the town of Burton, Texas in a very nice, quaint, and charming country neighborhood.
