My bother and I stayed at this wonderful 100 year old bungalow in Southwest Austin during a short weekend trip. Loved the history of the house and itâs quiet neighborhood. It is walking distance to restaurants, a supermarket and just a short drive from downtown Austin. The front and back porches were purfect for lounging around after sign seeing.
My sister and I stayed for two nights and we wanted to stay for much longer. The house is exactly as presented and even better than we expected. The location made traveling around Austin very easy. We will stay there again. Thanks for making our visit special.
It is a delightful property with a great layout and amenities. The property is in a wonderful neighborhood with great access to various parts of the city. HEB in close by, along with Mozart Coffee Roasters on Lake Austin. It was quiet and delightful. Doug is a very responsive host and provided great assistance.
Very well appointed 100 year old cottage. Upgraded kitchen & bath. Many old (or looked old) pieces of furniture added charm to the interior. Lovely front & back porch for enjoying the beautiful weather.
This house is near everything in Austin and yet doesn't feel like you're staying in the city. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and relaxing in the living room. There's only one bathroom and it's small, which was tricky with three people getting ready at the same time. Owner is awesome and responsive - would recommend!
Upson Street was the ideal location for a old Austin group of friends to have a reunion celebration. My Grandparents lived in that neighborhood on 2400 block of West 10th Street. While my family lived at 2100 Forest Trail. I had cousins family lived on Stamford. We had a great reunion on Upson Street!
We had a wonderful stay in Austin. The location was perfect! The house was sweet! The owner was available for questions and responded in a timely manner.
Thank you for a delightful stay to celebrate my daughterâs graduation. Very convenient. Nice quite place to rest after busy days! Convenient location!
I am a life-long Texan. I grew up in Beaumont. Moved to Austin in the mid-70's and graduated from UT in 1981. I have two grown children who both grew up in the house and where I still live. I have owned the place for over 30 years. In the summer of 2017, I converted the existing 18' x 24' barn at the back of the property into a guest cabin. It is a perfect addition to my small home for when friends and family come to visit, and where I am now pleased to host traveling guests. I am a retired engineer doing part-time consulting work.
This is the sort of place people think of when they say "location, location, location"! It is perfect for couples wanting to enjoy all of what is best about Austin.
