Fantastic property in Yosemite to relax and enjoy nature.Everything you can think of is included, a well appointed kitchen with everything you could need, a games room and outdoor decking area with a Blackstone grill - everything was spotlessly clean throughout. The snack basket and bathroom amenities (for anything you've forgotten) were also a really nice welcoming touch.
Everyone in our group loved our stay (ages 48 to 6). It was by far the best stocked, cared for, and thoughtful VRBO we have ever rented. It was truly a home away from home. The owner was incredibly responsive, offered helpful insights and tips for things to do, and even provided supplies to help celebrate a birthday. The listing and pictures perfectly capture its essence. It is about a 30-35 minute drive to the most frequented spots in Yosemite (Valley floor, Glacier Point, Mariposa Grove), which is about as good as it gets for the area in regards to private rentals.
The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Inside furnishings include a number of nature related sculptures and many interesting decorator items. The house is fully equipped - none of us wanted for anything.
Beautiful lodge with everything you need! This was our first time visiting Yosemite. We picked the perfect place to stay. Looking forward to visiting again!
This is by far the best stocked rental I've ever been in. It was also very clean and comfortable. The proximity to everything in Yosemite can't be beat!
We had a wonderful time at the Copper Bear Lodge! The house is amazing. It was very clean and well stocked with everything you could need. They had a wonderful gift basket awaiting us too! We loved hanging on the porch and got to see a momma bear and her two cubs in the backyard. The house is centrally located which helped so much with driving inside the park. Thereâs so much to see and do in Yosemite but we also just loved coming back to the house and playing cards and relaxing. Loved every minute!
My husband and I and our three adult children loved our five-day stay at Copper Bear Lodge. We came to visit Yosemite NP, but we all wished we could have spent several more days at Steve's amazing home. We appreciated the handwritten welcome card, thoughtful gift baskets, and delicious snack basket. Steve is a wonderful host and very responsive, providing detailed suggestions on hikes, trails, waterfalls, and other must-see sights, where to purchase groceries (Oakhurst), and dining options in Yosemite Valley. The home is lovely, with plenty of space to spread out, and every room was spotless. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms well-appointed. The kitchen was spacious and wonderfully stocked. We enjoyed coffee and cooking breakfast each morning, grilled dinners in the evening, and shared daily highlights and photos around the large dining table. We highly recommend Copper Bear Lodge, not only as an ideal and convenient base for exploring Yosemite, but to immerse in the stunning beauty of this special place.
Everything was perfect. This house had everything you could imagine and more. It was clean and had any and every amenity you could think of. It was beautiful and the property was beautiful. We all enjoyed staying here. Also an excellent location for the park.
The home is amazing and Steve was an incredibly attentive host. The house has everything you need and more, and is perfectly located to explore Yosemite Valley. Our kids have already asked to come back again!
A great location from which to explore many Yosemite wonders. Accommodations were perfect for ourselves and three adult couples. Host provided many welcome amenities.
House is welcoming, well equipped, comfortable and most of all convenient to Yosemite. Great base for exploring Yosemite and comfortable to come home to after long hikes. Host responsive, flexible and provided clear instructions and guidance. Especially appreciated the Yosemite themed video collection and the many Yosemite recommendations/guides located in the house. Would certainly stay again.
My two brothers, one older & one younger, our brother in law and I spent five days tackling day hikes all over the park. In all we racked up 35 miles and 8,000 feet of elevation. Not bad for the Medicare Crew! The house was perfect for our needs. So comfortable, so well-appointed. We could not have asked for better accommodations!
If you do stay here, you will find that this place is the king of Yosemite West. There's nothing that compares near by. It's quiet, warm, inviting, and they've thought of everything. From boot dryers to an expertly stocked kitchen, this home didn't disappoint at all. It's a great starting point everyday for venturing into the park and a more than comfortable return home at the end of the day. If you're on the fence about whether it's worth it or not, it is, we had an amazing time here.
The house is absolutely spectacular - they've thought of every little detail, down to the delightful gift baskets they left - including a birthday gift for my mom, whose birthday we were celebrating! The location is perfect, and we wished we had more time to just hang out at the house, it was so lovely.
The home was fabulous and centrally located within Yosemite National Park. The host left us a fabulous welcome basket of goodies. The lock on door was easy to use. It was truly a trophy home that we were grateful to stay in.
The house is immaculately cared for and obviously loved. The kitchen was extraordinarily well stocked with everything you might need. This is the ideal place to relax and socialize. Due to its close proximity to the valley floor we were able to do several early morning hikes and watch the sun come up. Quite simply if you are planning a trip to yosemite this is the perfect place.
Best vacation house we've ever stayed in. The host pays great attention to a lot of details to make the house so inviting and convenient for all ages. Lots of kitchenware's, a variety of bathroom stuff. To name a thing, they have two kinds of chalks you can use for the pool table! Would be willing to return and see bears again in future.
Copper Bear Lodge is the perfect home base to explore Yosemite. Steve has a gorgeous home, well appointed with everything you need to be comfortable. We especially enjoyed using the Blackstone grill and the lovely porch. The kids made good use of the mini arcade, and we saw four bears during our stay!
We enjoyed our stay at Copper Bear Lodge. It was the perfect âbase campâ for our first trip to Yosemite NP. All the small touches were much appreciated. Beautiful home.
We traveled from Seattle and met some family from Minnesota at this beautiful home. Well appointed and well stocked with everything you might need (and more). Pool table was a hit with the kids (and adults). Communication with property owner was prompt and informative. Home is ~30 minutes to Yosemite Valley, so very convenient yet tranquil, private location.
Be mindful of LOTS of stairs to get to front door. Not a problem for our family, but if you have accessibility issues or difficulty with stairs, you may want to look elsewhere.
Overall, a beautiful, comfortable, and well situated property.
We were born and raised in California and have treasured going to Yosemite with our families and friends. The annual trip to Yosemite was the high point of each year. Our fondest memories are of our trips to Yosemite. Because of our strong love for Yosemite, we built a home in the park.
We have been vacationing at Yosemite for over thirty-seven years. Generations of our family love the park and all the available activities that Yosemite offers. The park's beauty is unmatched. This new, charming house has much to offer to you and your family.
Close to the valley floor and Glacier Point. The home is within the park's gates. Badger Pass Ski Resort is close by. Relax in wooden rockers on the front deck after hiking or sightseeing all day. Play pool, arcade, or board games in the loft. Large selections of DVDs. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking and baking. Home decor gives you the full mountain experience.
